Drops in grade, steps out in trip and can sit back in the small field and wind-up in clear air. ULTIMATE STYLE can park up outside of Devil Girl and on paper it should be an on-pace type meeting. Hard to fault his recent form. C5 winner back into a C3. BANDALERA BEAU won this track/distance last Tuesday in a higher grade. Has the cutaway to utilise. DEVIL GIRL did it tough last Wednesday. Leads soft. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – TENACIOUS REWARD WIN RACE 2 LITTLE SILVER is drawn awkwardly (again). Clearly going well but can’t buy a gate/map, however, he’s in a race where you could make a case for all 8 of them and provided there isn’t a scratching it’s a full pay 1-2-3. He’s shown in both runs back he’s capable of matching motors with some handy types and he’s racing like 1400m will suit. WESTERN IMPACT finished off alright last week at Pinjarra through traffic and can hold up leader’s back with the cutaway. UNIVERSAL FLAIR is on trial at 1400m but she’s covered a stack of extra ground at her last two outings and fought on bravely. CELEBRITY PRINCE won well at his return but he beat battlers in an 1100m maiden at Geraldton. This is a lot deeper. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – LITTLE SILVER EACHWAY RACE 3 BONDI PLUNGE was well thought of on debut when third behind Snow Prince and Auspicious in a Saturday 2 year old SWP. She went straight into the blackbook of every WA punter (if she wasn’t already there) and with natural race experience and improvement she should be hard to hold out late. Interesting to see where they elect to ride her from and how the conditions are playing. SAPPHIRE STREET and IMA WILD GIRL both come through the same race and both runs were nearly as impressive as Bondi Plunge. SAPPHIRE STREET weaved her way through traffic and finished off. IMA WILD GIRL didn’t get out til late and flashed. Drawn far better and Pike is now on. PETULA hails from a powerful juvenile yard and trailled nicely. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 8 – 11 Suggested Bet – BONDI PLUNGE WIN RACE 4 DEVINE BELIEF should be simply too quick for rivals here over the 1000m. She’s a high speed cruise filly who should take great benefit from her first-up hit out down the straight at Pinjarra. They went around 4L faster than C1 average in that event and she split straight track specialist Kamarshall and handy 3 year old Estimator. Looks the obvious form and she either comes out with the intention of crossing Work Home Front or parks outside her and lets rip on straightening. FRANTIC WAR is drawn really poorly in barrier 8 of 8. Consistent type but needs things to go his way. FOXY SON has the cutaway run available. WORK HOME FRONT is quick but hard to trust the York/Barker form. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – DEVINE BELIEF WIN RACE 5 MACK MACK looks a class above his rivals here. Won a C3 at Pinjarra leading throughout before heading into Saturday company when finishing second to Catch These Hands in a 60+ Graduation and then a 3 year old 62+. This is a definite drop in grade, Pike sticks and he is versatile. Likely to park behind Rommel’s Jeuney and track his every move. Looks his race on paper. ROMMEL’S JEUNEY rolls along and makes his own luck. He’ll pinch a race like this sooner rather than later. MANAVENDRA can enjoy an identical run to last Tuesday when saluting. JAG THE JOKER drops out of a Sheila Gwynne after giving some cheek. Numbers: 2 – 8 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – MACK MACK WIN RACE 6 MONEY FOR OLD ROPE is getting closer and closer. Beaten a whisker Arcadia Star two starts back and then chased hard behind Bambun Boy 7 days later. This race lacks any speed, he could well kick through and get things very cheaply. TWICE A FORTNIGHT resumes off a 6 week freshen. She’s got a big turn of foot but will need the right run from the back of the field. AWESOME RIVAL is almost out of chances. Continues to leave herself too much to do on straightening. EXCELTRAIN raced like he needed 1400m at his return. Kelvinator made the form look good on Saturday. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – MONEY FOR OLD ROPE EACHWAY RACE 7 BOOTS LIKE BRUCE, KAMARSHALL, ESTIMATOR, INVISIBLE STRING, CHINA SPIRIT – this is a great race. This could hold up as a lower grade Saturday race and is clearly the best race we’ve seen midweek for some time. Going to side up with the undefeated BOOTS LIKE BRUCE who trialled super alongside Saturday 3 year old winner Pearly Nugget and ahead of Sunday’s near dead heat runner-up Sisu Warrior. Can kick through to lead or can park behind and utilise the cutaway. KAMARSHALL has had three starts – all down the 1000m straight at her home track. She’s got huge raw ability. ESTIMATOR hasn’t quite lived up to his debut victory. Still building and learning. INVISIBLE STRING was a mathematical impossibility last start the way the race was run. 59.66 for the 1000 on a Good4 is farcical. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – BOOTS LIKE BRUCE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2 2 1,2,3,4,5,7,8 1,3,6,7,8 Market Market
