Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 10, 2022November 10, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 PRINCE OF PLEASURE (6) has won all four starts since resuming from a spell, including a 1.52.9 Pinjarra win on Monday and is clearly the one to beat. STRAUNY (3) has battled bad draws of late but he did lead throughout to defeat Tenzing Bromac five starts back and he will give some cheek if he can find the front. LITTLEBITOF FUN (1) finished 2nd on three consecutive occasions from this draw in October and can be in the money again. COOL WATER PADDY (12) has very solid form but the draw makes it difficult. Tips: 6 3 1 12 Suggested Bet: PRINCE OF PLEASURE (6) to win. Race 2 BLITZEMBYE (10) ran on well to finish 3rd from an impossible position here last week and will be hitting the line hard if he has any luck from his awkward draw. MIRRAGON (3) led when 2nd here last week and should lead again and give them something to catch. TALKS UP A STORM (6) is the class runner of the field but has an awkward draw to overcome. MASTER PUBLISHER (12) was a strong winner from the breeze here last week and must be considered again. Tips: 10 3 6 12 Suggested Bet: BLITZEMBYE (10) each way. Race 3 IDEAL AGENT (5) faced the breeze outside Euphoria when 2nd here last week and should be ready to show his best at his fourth run back from a spell. DOC HOLLIDAY (2) started from a wide draw when 4th in that event and will make his presence felt from a better barrier tonight. FANCI A DANCE (3) has been placed in his last three starts and should be thereabouts again from his nice draw. BRACKEN SKY (1) normally takes a few runs to hit his peak but will be right in the finish if he is close to his best first-up. Tips: 5 2 3 1 Suggested Bet: IDEAL AGENT (5) to win. Race 4 FINVARRA (6) has won his last two starts in impressive fashion and can make it a hat-trick here but will find this harder. THE MUSTANG (8) has led throughout in all three starts since crossing the Nullabor and faces his toughest test to date but must be respected. WILL I ROCKNROLL (1) has been unplaced at his last five starts but should be a big improver from the pole over the sprint trip. EUPHORIA (2) has led throughout to win his last two starts in easier company and should be in the firing line throughout tonight. Tips: 6 8 1 2 Suggested Bet: FINVARRA (6) to win. Race 5 MAGNIFICENT STORM (5) has disappointed when beaten at his last two starts but is a classy customer and should bounce back tonight. PATRONUS STAR (12) was suited by the solid tempo when running on to defeat a similar field here last week and will be charging home again. HAMPTON BANNER (4) looks the early leader here and should be right in the finish if he isn’t subjected to too much pressure. GAMBIT (10) led throughout in 1.55.8 here at his last start and can be dangerous if he sees daylight at the right time. Tips: 5 12 4 10 Suggested Bet: MAGNIFICENT STORM (5) to win. Race 6 EIGHTEEN CARAT (7) has impressed in winning five of her last six starts in similar company and is the one to beat but the draw will make it more challenging. FIFTY FIVE REBORN (2) attempted to lead throughout when a close 2nd to EIGHTEEN CARAT (7) at her last start and will give a great sight if she finds the top. THE AMBER HARE (11) has won five of her last six starts and is ready for the rise in class. MISS LIMELIGHT (3) has battled bad draws since a dominant first-up win and trialled nicely at Byford recently. Tips: 7 2 11 3 Suggested Bet: EIGHTEEN CARAT (7) to win. Race 7 HIGH PRICE (8) ran a nice 3rd to Smart Watch before finishing at the tail in the Western Gateway but will appreciate the big drop in class tonight. SOHO DOW JONES (9) has a tough draw to overcome but ran a nice 3rd from the breeze at his last start and has the strength to make his presence felt. SWAGGER MAN (4) was well-fancied but disappointed at his last start but must be respected. SPEEDWAGON (2) was a solid winner in easier company at his last start and is drawn inside his main rivals. Tips: 8 9 4 2 Suggested Bet: HIGH PRICE (8) to win. Race 8 AUSSIE SCOOTER (1) faced the breeze and fought on well to finish 2nd to ROBBIE ROCKET (10) here last week and will be extremely hard to beat if he jumps to the front tonight. ROBBIE ROCKET (10) was an impressive all the way winner of that event and must be considered despite going to a 10m handicap. SOCRATES (11) is the class runner of the field and should be thereabouts first-up. THE STARS ABOVE (4) ran 2nd to Prince Of Pleasure in quick time on Monday and will play a part if he steps cleanly. Tips: 1 10 11 4 Suggested Bet: AUSSIE SCOOTER (1) to win. Race 9 RAGAZZO MACH (1) disappointed at his last start but looks the likely leader here and should prove hard to catch. HIMSELF (3) hasn’t finished further back than 2nd in his last eight starts and is the obvious danger. TENZING BROMAC (9) has won ten of his 13 career starts and has the ability to test the two favourites but the draw makes it tough. MARKHAM EYRE (8) is drawn poorly but will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 1 3 9 8 Suggested Bet: RAGAZZO MACH (1) to win. Race 10 MANNING (2) faced the breeze at his first run back from a spell when 3rd to Tuas Delight. He will strip fitter for that effort and is the one to beat from his nice draw. CHEER THE MAJOR (1) has been placed in six of his past eight starts and looks the obvious danger from the pole. SAHARA STORM (10) ran a solid 3rd to Pradason in a stronger field here last week and will be dangerous if she sees daylight at the right time. LAMANDIER (11) disappointed at his first start in WA but was well-fancied on that occasion so must be respected. Tips: 2 1 10 11 Suggested Bet: MANNING (2) to win. Market Market
