Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 30, 2022June 30, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 SCARLET RIBBON (6) will attempt to maintain her unbeaten record in WA but meets her toughest challenge to date. ACHARNE GIRL (3) resumes from a break and has trialled nicely at Pinjarra and can play a part from this draw. IN THE SPOTLIGHT (9) has won her last four in fine style but must contend with a horror draw tonight. DONTBESILLYCHILLY (12) battled on well when 2nd to IN THE SPOTLIGHT (9) at her last start but will need luck in running to upset the more fancied runners. Tips: 6 3 9 12 Suggested Bet: SCARLET RIBBON (6) to win. Race 2 SEERYANFLY (5) won four on end before a disappointing 11th at his last start but can bounce back tonight. LONGREACH BAY (4) resumes tonight after trialling nicely at Byford and has always shown above average ability. COOPER (7) has been impressive in winning his last two standing start races and returns to the mobile here but has drawn outside of his main rivals. ROKORICO (1) is racing well and the pole draw will help offset the class rise. Tips: 5 4 7 1 Suggested Bet: SEERYANFLY (5) to win. Race 3 VALBONNE (1) has been racing well for weeks and finally gets the draw to improve his numerical form. RUPERT OF LINCOLN (2) is racing well despite not having won for over six months and is a definite winning chance from the draw. FANCI A DANCE (6) is the class runner of the field but has also not won for some time but is suited in this company. EUPHORIA (11) is similar to most of the main chances in that he has been very consistent without winning and will not be far away if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 1 2 6 11 Suggested Bet: VALBONNE (1) to win. Race 4 LAVRA JOE (1) was a champion juvenile who has been off the scene for twelve months but was impressive in winning a Bunbury trial for his return. TYPHOON BANNER (2) is in career best from and has taken a few high profile scalps in recent weeks. RAGAZZO MACH (5) was slightly disappointing last week when beaten by a stable mate and is not as well drawn but may improve if driven with a sit. CAVEMAN (4) rises in class but has been racing well for some time and can get into the placings with the right run. Tips: 1 2 5 4 Suggested Bet: LAVRA JOE (1) to win. Race 5 JUMPINGJACKMAC (1) was disappointing off a 21 day break last week but will strip fitter tonight. CHICAGO BULL (3) is a proven champion who produced a solid first up effort and will improve with that run. TO FAST TO SERIOUS (5) followed a dominant win two starts back with a solid 4th last week and won’t be far away again. VULTAN TIN (2) is a grand old campaigner who is better drawn tonight and cannot be discounted. Tips: 4 1 2 6 Suggested Bet: JUMPINGJACKMAC (1) to win. Race 6 ANGEL IN WHITE (7) is back in mares company after beating the boys last week and has the depth to overcome the wide draw. SAHARA STORM (5) is also back to mares company after chasing home two smart performers last week and can return to the winners circle. MISS LIMELIGHT (6) is a good sit and kick mare who can play a part if the race is run to suit. LADY JADORE (2) is the best drawn of the main chances and she will be thereabouts at the finish. Tips: 7 5 6 2 Suggested Bet: ANGEL IN WHITE (7) to win. Race 7 BLITZEMBYE (11) surprised by running over the more fancied stable mate last week and if he handles his first attempt at the stand can overcome the 20m handicap. MIDDLEPAGE (7) is racing well but faces the tapes for only the second time in his career. JOEY JAMES (2) has won from the stand and has the front line advantage over his main rivals. AMERICAN BULLITT (6) is an experienced stand performer who is capable of winning from the right run in transit. Tips: 11 7 2 6 Suggested Bet: BLITZEMBYE (11) to win. Race 8 THE GOOD LIFE (11) is extremely consistent and won impressively at Bunbury and can repeat here. SOHO GIGOLO (1) has the draw advantage here and will give a great sight. BURGHLEY SHARD (5) is mixing form a little but is always capable with the right run. ATHABASCAN (6) obviously needed the run first up and is capable of significant improvement tonight. Tips: 11 1 5 6 Suggested Bet: THE GOOD LIFE (11) to win. Race 9 BEAT CITY (4) has been very consistent of late and gets his chance to break back into the winners circle. REGAL CHEVAL (1) carried a flat tyre and was found wanting over the concluding stages over the longer trip last week but will take some running down here. BRACKEN SKY (3) led and returned to winning form last week but may have to be driven with a sit tonight. WHATABRO (2) returns from having one run in SA and is drawn to get a perfect trail behind the likely leader. Tips: 4 1 3 2 Suggested Bet: BEAT CITY (4) to win. Race 10 RONALD SCOTT (1) is drawn to control the race and is definitely the one to beat REDDY TO FLY (3) is a last start winner who is coming of a short break and ran 3rd to Lavra Joe in a recent Bunbury trial. LOW FLYIN (4) has been sound in his two runs back from a spell and is a place chance from his awkward draw. NEVERTELLMETHEODDS (2) has only been placed once in six starts but is drawn to get a soft run behind the logical leader. Tips: 1 3 4 2 Suggested Bet: RONALD SCOTT (1) to win. Race 11 INDOMITABLE SYMBOL (2) showed promise in her first preparation and resumes without a trial but gets her chance to break her maiden status. SUGAR BOO (1) has won a Byford trial in slow time and gets the ideal draw to launch her career. FEELING EMPATHY (6) has changed stables since her last run and her form has been solid. VALHALLA ANGEL (5) is a consistent filly and has been racing in stronger company and is very capable of winning if the race is run to suit. Tips: 2 1 6 5 Suggested Bet: INDOMITABLE SYMBOL (2) to win.
