The Scout: EPL Week 10 Posted on October 27, 2021November 1, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Watford vs Southampton Watford (14th) come into this match off the back of an incredible 5-2 win over Everton while Southampton (16th) were unfortunate not to beat Burnley in a 2-2 draw. The Hornets have had an inconsistent start to their Premier League campaign but snapped a two-game losing streak with an impressive win over Everton. Watford were down 2-1 at the 78-minute mark and then proceeded to pile on 4 goals in 12 minutes which included a hattrick from Joshua King. Both sides featured in this match are starting to open and attack, particularly Southampton who started the season slowly as they have tried to figure out how to replace Danny Ings. The Saints last two matches has seen six goals while Watford’s last two has featured a whopping 12 goals. At the rate the pair of these teams are travelling, we can expect more goals to come. Neither side have shown any consistency and picking an outright winner is near impossible however the two styles of each club can suggest that we will see goals. Watford striker Joshua King is inform and I expect him to be a main contributor as we see a shootout between these two aggressive sides. Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 Goals @ $1.86* Manchester City vs Crystal Palace Manchester City (3rd) have not lost in the Premier League since their opening 1-0 loss to Tottenham while their opponent Crystal Palace (15th) have had four straight games that have ended in a draw. The defending champions have looked impressive this season and their recent 1-0 win over Chelsea and their 2-2 draw at Anfield against Liverpool has shown they are still the team to beat. Pep Guardiola has been faced with a unique challenge of having no traditional striker and has been consistently changing around his starting XI, making City extremely unpredictable for opponents. One of the recent moves that Guardiola has made is making Phil Foden a regular starter and in their last match against Brighton, Foden was playing the number 9 role. Foden is not only one of the most impressive young talents in England, but his skill is recognized globally and has flourished since his promotion to start in the Premier League. Manchester City will dominate Crystal Palace and control the ball from start to finish creating plenty of goal scoring chances. The biggest beneficiary of this will be Foden who will continue to shine, the youngster has scored three goals to go along with three assists in his last three Premier League fixtures and will continue to add to his tally here. Suggested Bet: Phil Foden To Score a Goal @ $2.14* Aston Villa vs West Ham Aston Villa sit 13th on the table and are in a horrible vein of form as they have lost three straight matches. West Ham are on the opposite trajectory as their opponents, sitting 4th overall and have won 3 out of their last four. The Hammers are a legitimate contender for not only a top 10 finish but are a strong chance to place in the illustrious top six. David Moyes has proven his worth as a manager as he has his side playing fantastic football on both sides of the pitch which includes two clean sheets in their last two matches. It has been a struggle for Aston Villa as they simply cannot find a way to win, they were completely shutout in their 3-1 loss to Arsenal. The striking partnership of Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings has not clicked yet and they are clearly still figuring each other out. Michail Antonio has been a revelation this season for the Hammers and although he had a few quiet weeks, he is back on the scoreboard after scoring the winning goal against Tottenham. Antonio now has 6 goals to his name and is playing with confidence, I expect him to be the difference maker in this affair. Suggested Bet: West Ham (Match Result) @ $2.55* *Odds correct as at 9am, 27th October 2021. Market Market
