Michael Heaton’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 23, 2026June 23, 2026 | Posted by Michael Heaton RACE 1 MISS SANTA CORRS is smashing down the door for her first win. She’s run second at her past 3 starts which has included splitting subsequent winners on both occasions (Special Counsel and Savvy Ruler 2 starts ago and Savvy Ruler and Barraquito last time out). She can roll forward here and hopefully break through. VEXATIOUS ROSE looked the winner first up at 1400m before getting gunned down in the shadows of the post by a nice horse. She should be afforded every opportunity from her good draw. OLAF THE SNOWMAN backs up off 6 days and steps to a mile for the first time after giving the impression he’ll relish the rise in trip. FLAVOURSOME hasn’t been too far away at his first 2 starts back and now drops 3kg after the claim. Numbers: 8-9-3-10 Suggested Bet – MISS SANTA CORRS WIN RACE 2 WHITE HOT was beaten home almost 3L by Partay last start but in review she was momentarily held up on straightening before being dictated towards the unfavourable inside section on a day where they were all flying down the outside of the track. She should land in a lovely position in running and with a likely tactical position advantage on Partay she can make a race of it. PARTAY is the horse to beat after a nice trial and a slashing return. Just needs the right flow into the race from a likely rearwards settling position. AMERICAN IMAGE reeled off the fastest closing sectionals of the meeting when second to the smart-looking Dance On Son on debut and the extra 300m suits. MYSTIC CHAOS got held up last start and the wider draw might actually suit him better. Numbers: 9-5-11-10 Suggested Bet – WHITE HOT EACH-WAY RACE 3 ENCHANTED HOUR couldn’t have done much more on debut when settling rearwards over 1400m on a heavily on-speed day and rocketing home to reel in a horse who looked home and hosed. She settled 11th in running on a day where each of the other 6 winners settled in the first 3 and the turn of foot she showed suggests she’s progressive. ESTA MIRANDO likely settles last here but she was sectionally massive to win first up, drops out of a hot Raconteur Stakes last start and now gets Pike back on. MR KARADEC has been reprogrammed this preparation and done his best work late at his first 2 starts back. He should be able to hold a midfield position here. SASSY SNIPPET didn’t beat much when saluting at $1.20 last start but she still looks a filly with some upside. Numbers: 9-2-5-10 Suggested Bet – ENCHANTED HOUR WIN RACE 4 PARIAH’S THANKS trialled up very nicely (beating first up Saturday Graduation winner Territory Man) then contested a frantically-run C3 1000m on resumption when drawing low and making her run towards the cutaway on a day where almost all of the winners came down the outside of the track. She was a great run to be beaten only 2L, now drops back in grade to a C1 Fillies & Mares event and the last 2 efforts of her last preparation were also good enough to figure here. GREAT PROMISE has plenty of speed and looks likely to find the top again and give them something to catch. SAIGON DANCER has been good at each run this prep but her outside draw makes this tricky. MISS FINKMEYER must have some issues but her recent mid-prep trial was strong and the best version of her is good enough. Numbers: 6-2-1-3 Suggested Bet – PARIAH’S THANKS EACH-WAY RACE 5 Hot race for a C1 with plenty of smart 3YOs engaged. DANCE ON SON trialled up stylishly then won with more in hand first up when reeling off the fastest last 400m of the meeting. He maps to get an identical run in the box seat in a race with good natural speed and he looks a progressive type. BRAVE WASP has a sticky gate to overcome but ran a strong third in a high-rating C3 last start which followed a first up win for Mitch Pateman’s yard. If he can land 3-deep-cover he’ll be launching late. COMMON TOUCH dominated moderate opposition first up in a very impressive return. This race is deeper but he looks a 3YO who can go on with it. FRIAR’S LEGACY drops back to 1200m which looks his most effective distance now? Numbers: 8-5-7-1 Suggested Bet – DANCE ON SON WIN RACE 6 GLANCED has returned in great order this preparation and looks ready to break through at her third run back. First up, no trial she savaged the line with a fast-finishing second before chasing home the progressive Territory Man in a Saturday Graduation second up and she should land in a nice spot midfield-with-cover here. DOMINATUS was brave first up when posted wide the trip and sticking on to finish less than 3L fourth to Prince Of Dala who was then beaten a nostril by rising star filly Hot And High in the Listed Raconteur Stakes. He now drops 3kg, draws a gate and can prove hard to beat. DIVINE INANNA ran a big race second up when off the track throughout and fighting on for a narrow second and she should settle in a much better spot here. MOONWALK simply didn’t stay last start and now drops sharply in trip back to 1400m. Numbers: 8-7-4-9 Suggested Bet – GLANCED WIN RACE 7 RIVA AQUARAMA might be a heart-in-mouth watch in running as a natural get-back type drawn low with an apprentice aboard but she’s beautifully placed and weighted. Her past 6 starts across 2 preparations have been at Saturday level (including 3 at Listed or Group 3 level), she hit the line strongly to be beaten only 2L by Awesome Boy (subsequent 72+ winner), Hey Pino and Like Clockwork in a 66+ last start and she’s now a massive class dropper into a C3 with 58kg after Natika Riordan’s claim. WESTERN JET steps from a maiden to a C3 but he trialled up well and then won like a horse with plenty of upside first up. MIGHT HOSANNA looks better suited dropping back 100m back in grade and can ride the speed. BANNERED did it tough last start and gets the run of the race here. Numbers: 1-4-2-5 Suggested Bet – RIVA AQUARAMA WIN RACE 8 SHOWLAS has drawn awkwardly but it might play into her hands now that she’s being reprogrammed. She trialled up super from off-speed in her mid-prep trial then made a stack of ground on an on-speed dominated day at Bunbury last start. There should be a 3-wide moving line for her to blend into here and the extra 100m suits. CHOUX SHOE resumes off the back of a sneaky nice trial and the booking of Pike catches the eye. SISU SPIRIT is a former Waterhouse & Bott-trained 4YO who brings intrigue first up for Brandon Fiore. He might want further but he looked good in a recent trial and should land in a nice spot midfield-with-cover. SO MUCH SERENITY is going well and will ride the speed but might do her best work at Bunbury? Numbers: 1-7-2-10 Suggested Bet – SHOWLAS WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,5,6,7,8 4,7,8,9 1,2,4 1,2,3,7,10 Market Market
