Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 29, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 BOLTA (1) is first-up tonight and hasn’t trialled but looks the one to beat from the pole over the sprint trip. Gary Hall Jnr has chosen him over the Hall runner and he did race in stronger company last time in. ALTA INTRIGUE (12) improved at his second run after a long spell when a good 3rd here last week and looks the main danger. THE LAST PARISIAN (2) has been performing soundly from bad draws and looks an improver from this barrier tonight. THE KRAKEN (5) is racing well enough to win an event of this nature with the right trip. Tips: 1 12 2 5 Suggested Bet: BOLTA (1) to win. Race 2 ARMA INDIE (2) looked to be getting back to her best when chasing home Lord Rosco here last week. She looks a good chance to find the top and will give a great sight in that role. MCARDLES GEM (3) ran a slashing 2nd here last week at big odds and will be right in the finish if he can reproduce that effort. JACK WILLIAM (10) has been placed at his past six starts and just needs some luck from this draw to play a part. QTOWN RIP ROARING (1) is drawn to get a nice run on the pegs and won’t be far away. Tips: 2 3 10 1 Suggested Bet: JACK WILLIAM (10) each way. Race 3 ROMAN ART (1) was a strong first-up winner before being crossed from this barrier when 3rd to Lord Rosco. This line doesn’t look as quick and he will be hard to beat if he can hold up at the start. ROMAN AVIATOR (3) drops significantly in class on his recent assignments and looks a major player from his nice draw. LIAM NEIL (8) was a brave 3rd in quick time after breezing here last week but has a tough draw to overcome. VIVERE DAMORE (10) was placed at big odds last week and can repeat the dose from her trailing draw. Tips: 1 3 8 10 Suggested Bet: ROMAN ART (1) to win. Race 4 BETTOR BE OSCAR (1) has resumed from a spell with two nice placings. He is a known frontrunner who will get that opportunity tonight and should prove hard to catch. PATRICKTHEPIRANHA (9) disappointed two starts back but then looked very sharp when a 1.55.8 winner. He is drawn poorly here but is too good to overlook. STROKE OF LUCK (5) didn’t really see daylight when 3rd to Galactic Star in a stronger field last week and must be considered. ALWAYS AN HONOUR (7) will be charging home again but is drawn wide. Tips: 1 9 5 7 Suggested Bet: BETTOR BE OSCAR (1) to win. Race 5 CHICAGO BULL (1) has won nine of his last ten starts with the defeat being a gallant photo-finish 2nd to SHOCKWAVE (5). He should have little trouble leading tonight and should win again. SHOCKWAVE (5) has chased the little champ home at his last two starts and looks the obvious danger once more. JACK FARTHING (10) impressed with a victory at his first WA start and is drawn to get a lovely run in transit. VULTAN TIN (2) is first-up but looks a good place chance from his nice draw. Tips: 1 5 10 2 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (1) to win. Race 6 WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (8) drops a long way in class for this assignment and should be able to overcome the wide barrier. BE ON GUARD (1) has a losing sequence of 40 but can play a part from the pole. SOKYS BIGBULLET (7) has been unplaced at his four starts this time in but his last runs have had merit and he shouldn’t be far away. BOB WHEEL (2) was blocked for a run here last week and should get his chance tonight. Tips: 8 1 7 2 Suggested Bet: WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (8) to win. Race 7 BLUE CHIP ADDA (4) has finished midfield at her two runs back from a spell. She should strip fitter for those efforts and be ready to produce her best tonight. LEAP OF FAITH (6) had a chequered run here last week but her previous form is good enough to be a major player tonight. THEJEWELINHEREYE (1) has won two of her last four starts in easier company and must be considered from the pole. RADIANT AMBER (5) is racing consistently and will be dangerous with the right trip. Tips: 4 6 1 5 Suggested Bet: BLUE CHIP ADDA (4) to win. Race 8 PRINCESS MILA (9) was an impressive winner two starts back before being beaten into 3rd at a short quote after doing thigs wrong from the mobile. She isn’t the safest beginner from the stand but will be hard to beat if she steps away cleanly. KING OF THE ROSES (8) performed very well in SA at his last campaign and has warmed up for this with a Pinjarra trial victory. MY MDINA (5) has won four of her last five starts and is ready for the rise in class. CHAMPAGNE PRINCE (1) is first up in the state without a trial so watch the betting. Tips: 9 8 5 1 Suggested Bet: PRINCESS MILA (9) to win. Race 9 AMERICAN ARMA (6) was well-fancied on debut and lived up to the hype with a 1.56.9 win over BETTOR BEACH BELLE (7). She isn’t as well drawn here but still appeals as the one to beat. BETTOR BEACH BELLE (7) crossed from a wide gate when 2nd in that race and will give a great sight if she finds the front. BENESARI LANE (8) couldn’t make up ground in that race but will be suited if there is a strong tempo. JOELENE (9) is drawn poorly but shows plenty of ability and is one to watch. Tips: 6 7 8 9 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN ARMA (6) to win. Race 10 MASTER PUBLISHER (2) won three of his last five starts before a spell and warmed up for this with an emphatic 1.57.4 trial win. He is the best drawn of the main chances and looks hard to beat. THE IDEAL TOUCH (7) has impressed in winning all four starts since crossing the Tasman and Gary Hall Jnr has chosen him over the other Hall horses. COPY N PACE (4) won a recent Byford trial and must be considered. HOTFOOT IT (3) is racing well and looks the best of the non-Hall runners. Tips: 2 7 4 3 Suggested Bet: MASTER PUBLISHER (2) to win.
