Scott Embry’s Wednesday Ascot Preview Posted on October 22, 2019October 22, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SKYDANCE trialed like a horse who would be giving a sight on debut. Azzopardi should have him in the firing line and get every chance from the inside draw. Even race, worth a throw at the stumps at double figures. JOYRIZE has been a shade below expectations so far this campaign but this is the easiest assignment she has seen. SILENT ACT was big on debut and immediately tipped out. Sharp trial at Bunbury. WARFISH was backed as if unbeatable last time out when giving zero. Previous efforts strong. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – SKYDANCE EACHWAY Race 2 ZENAZE went round 70-1 on debut when rattling home behind Don’s Legacy and Megachino. Showed it was no fluke with a second placing to Shapita at start number two. Hard to miss recent trial and should be right in the finish. RUSH’N MACHINE looks a high speed Maschino gelding. Trialed alongside Zenaze and gets conditions to suit. OREO steps out to 1200 for the first time. Last time out should have finished right on the heels of the winners when finding traffic. THE FULL QUID is racing well. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – ZENAZE WIN Race 3 BARON BOSTOCK was fresh last time out 2.5 months between runs when drawn the river and forced to go back to last. The effort in defeat was enormous and doubt many punters will miss that. Draws a gate, McNaught on, looks the winner. NERODIO’s winning run came to an end in the same race as Baron Bostock. Can bounce back and carry the weight. TYCOON LEGEND draws a gate to get a soft run midfield. GUNFLINT can come out running. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – BARON BOSTOCK WIN Race 4 TUSCAN QUEEN ran past Pure Dynamite and Amelia’s Contraire effortlessly on debut. Slight query on the strength of that as a form reference but given the typical 3 year old features freshen up after debut run and was immediately supported at a price in the Kingston Town when all-in markets opened. MINIKA is racing consistently but not showing a deal of early toe. GRAND DESIGN is better than what she showed last start. COLOURFUL CHLOE back in grade should get every chance from the draw. Numbers: 11 – 7 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – TUSCAN QUEEN WIN Race 5 APPARITION resumes after a fairly successful 3 year old season. Was thrown in the deep end late in the campaign but the recent Belmont Park trial really caught the eye. Horses were struggling up the fence all day and he kept powering home. Bonnie Palise is riding very well and he’ll be strong in the finish. VERDANDI would have gone straight into many a blackbook after being held up the entire first-up. MAROCCHINO draws a gate, has a run under his belt and has shades added. Big improvement expected. HAIL DA HICHI won well on debut albeit 5L below benchmark. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – APPARITION EACHWAY Race 6 SENTIMENTAL GIFT will be carrying multi’s nationwide. Looks progressive, has a turn of foot, travels in the run, draws a gate. Ticks all the boxes. WINIFER is a maiden but one with some staying ability. Keep safe. PORPHYRIO was huge two starts back when almost nailing Scintillating on the post. HIGHEST REGARD has been a bit disappointing last two. Can improve without surprising. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – SENTIMENTAL GIFT WIN Race 7 MASTER PEARL is going to need some luck or a gem of a ride from Turner but he is a massive horse who can sustain a run from a fair way out. If he is marching in the three deep train at the 600 he can win. In form and last win was 5L above benchmark and produced 3 subsequent winners. NEXT STOP THE MOON reuniting with Jarrad Noske is a huge plus. His figures suggest the faster the better for him. EXPRESS FLIRT drops in grade and just runs for W.Pike, last 2 wins with him on. KING LOUIE races without luck. Numbers: 9 – 6 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – MASTER PEARL EACHWAY Quad (Race 4 – 7) 11 1,4,10 4 4,6,9 Market Market
