Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on October 3, 2019October 4, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 HIGHLY FLAMMABLE (2) has won two of his last three starts and was a brave 2nd in quick time between those victories. He looks to have a class edge on his rivals and is drawn perfectly. LIGHTNING JOLT (4) is racing well and should be in the finish if he can get the right trip in transit. NO MORE CHANGE (1) and MAXIMUN DEMAND (10) are both drawn to get soft runs on the pegs and can be in the money. Tips: 2 4 1 10 Suggested Bet: HIGHLY FLAMMABLE (2) to win. Race 2 DENNIS (10) is racing extremely consistently with one win and three 2nds from his last four starts. He will need some luck from this draw but will be charging home if he sees daylight in the last 400m. ROCKMENOW (1) led throughout here two starts back in solid time and should give a great sight tonight. JACK WILLIAM (7) has won two of his three starts in WA and must be considered despite the wide draw. PAVAROTTI (12) has a backline draw to overcome but should be finishing strongly. Tips: 10 1 7 12 Suggested Bet: DENNIS (10) each way. Race 3 ROBB STARK (7) was a first-up winner last campaign but didn’t manage to pick up another victory despite racing well. He resumes from a break without a trial but is capable of winning a race of this nature. THE ARSONIST (1) has been placed at his past two starts and should give a great sight from the pole over the sprint trip. SERGEANT OATS (11) ran a solid 2nd at Pinjarra on Monday and should enjoy a nice run from his trailing draw. OUR PERKINS (2) led throughout in solid time here at his last start and should be handy from his nice draw. Tips: 7 1 11 2 Suggested Bet: ROBB STARK (7) to win. Race 4 CARTER MICHEAL (11) is racing consistently and has been placed at nine of his last ten starts. He will be suited by the likely solid tempo and will be running on strongly. COMMANDER CHAPEL (5) is first up after an 18-month absence but has plenty of ability and the stable is firing. VINCENZO PERUGGIA (8) is likely to be in for a tough run again but can’t be overlooked. SMOLDERING ASHES (1) should get a lovely run just behind the speed and could represent good each way value. Tips: 11 5 8 1 Suggested Bet: CARTER MICHEAL (11) each way. Race 5 KING OF SWING (1) is a known frontrunner who should get that opportunity tonight and gets his chance to return to the winners’ circle. OUR CORELLI (4) has won three of his last four starts in similar company and has the gate speed to test the polemarker early. MOTU PREMIER (5) hasn’t had much luck in his two starts back from a spell and should be ready to be driven aggressively tonight. SIMBA BROMAC (2) didn’t see daylight here last week when a close-up 4th and can play a part from this draw. Tips: 1 4 5 2 Suggested Bet: KING OF SWING (1) to win. Race 6 SEA ME SMILE (1) wasn’t beaten far when 4th to Charlie El after attempting an all-the-way win on Tuesday and could get away with this event against her own sex. DELIGHTFULREACTION (6) has been placed at six of her past eight starts including a last start win and must be considered despite the wide draw. HIT IT RICH (8) will find this easier than when 4th to Just Rockon Bye here last week and can be thereabouts. TWILIGHT SAGA (2) chased hard when 2nd to Space Junk in a stand here last week and can play a part. Tips: 1 6 8 2 Suggested Bet: SEA ME SMILE (1) to win. Race 7 WALKINSHAW (1) was an impressive winner here two starts back before facing the breeze and being unable to reel in Argyle Red. He should lead here and is clearly the one to beat. JAMES BUTT (2) was a first-up winner before running into trouble last week and looks the main danger from this draw. EL HOMBRE (3) drops in class on his recent assignments and shouldn’t be far away. OVERBOARD AGAIN (8) is first-up after a break and is drawn wide but has plenty of ability. Tips: 1 2 3 8 Suggested Bet: WALKINSHAW (1) to win. Race 8 WARFARE (7) finished just behind the placegetters in his last three starts before a short break. He drops significantly in class for this assignment and should prove hard to beat if he is anywhere near his top. SWEET N FAST (5) returned to his best when a nice winner here last week and should be in the finish again. HY LEEXCITING (6) led throughout here last week and would give some cheek if he crossed at the start. TALKERUP (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be in the money at big odds. Tips: 7 5 6 1 Suggested Bet: WARFARE (7) to win. Race 9 BILL HALEY (1) won four of his last five starts in Queensland and has very good gate speed. He resumes for the in-form Lewis stable and must be respected. MAJOR POCKET (2) finished 2nd for the seventh time in his last nine starts and will be right in the finish again. ATMOSPHERICAL (3) couldn’t make up ground in a sprint home here last week but is drawn to get the run of the race tonight. SALEAHS COMMAND (9) crossed from a wide draw when a 1.54.1 winner at Pinjarra and can’t be overlooked. Tips: 1 2 3 9 Suggested Bet: MAJOR POCKET (2) each way. Race 10 SPUD (7) has been impressive in winning his two starts in WA and has the advantage of being drawn inside his main rival. LORD LIAM (8) has had a short break since winning six on end and is the obvious danger. IM NOT EYRE (3) has won two of his last three starts in easier company and can play a part from this draw. LIGHTNING CALDER (9) was a solid 4th at his first start back from a break and is better suited by the staying distance. Tips: 7 8 3 4 Suggested Bet: SPUD (7) to win. Market Market
