Scott Embry’s Thursday Geraldton Preview Posted on March 19, 2019March 19, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ABU DHABI and INVINCIBLE WARRIOR look to have this race wrapped up between them for team Leeson. Siding with ABU DHABI who should find the front if Bonnie Palise can jump him away with the field. Worst case scenario sits outside of Kwikon the Trigger and should be too classy. INVINCIBLE WARRIOR is drawn awkwardly for an inexperienced apprentice but is a nice pick-up ride. KWIKON THE TRIGGER simply can’t run 1200m. The 1100 is right up his alley. BLACK DYNAMITE gets off them and rattles late. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – ABU DHABI WIN Race 2 CRYPTO is a well related colt in a family who tend to have speed and an abundance of ability. Has trialed up well and Childs pulls the trigger engaging city hoop Joey Azzopardi. Expect him to go close on debut. WILLOW RIVER has been bitterly disappointing all preparation for his loyal followers. Will look to cross and lead but if beaten could be finding a new home. MEGAZONE is yet to show much but can improve without surprising. SNEAKY DEVIL with the shades on should find a nice spot in running. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – CRYPTO WIN Race 3 YOURTHEONEFORME improved sharply first-up to second-up and the Murray Sharp stable are very astute and will continue to improve him. Drawn the fence Hill can lead or box seat and won’t see a weaker maiden than this. RED EPIC has run well since coming to WA and looks like breaking his maiden before the end of the season. WILD MEMORIES has been disappointing her last few. Put in some nice runs earlier in the preparation. CHASING THE ACE needs luck from the draw after having every chance last start. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – YOURTHEONEFORME WIN Race 4 FLAMING GALAH will settle off them but finally gets out the mile which could be the key to unlocking her true potential. Has promised to win a race all preparation after a dynamite trial which saw her $81 into $6 on debut. Mile looks her go. MOONDYNE JOE lobs in Geraldton after two mediocre performances in the provincial area. Can improve without surprising. CAN HE HUSSLE goes straight to the front and should be hard to run down. DAMASCUS STEEL rarely far from the action. Numbers: 10 – 7 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – FLAMING GALAH WIN Race 5 EBONY MAGI likely gets rolled last start with any jockey other than Glenn Smith. Was in a woeful position in running and it got uglier and uglier into the home straight for his loyal followers until G.Smith kept his cool and worked him to the outside. He won with a leg in the air and can go on with it. THE CROWN PRINCE should find the front or box seat and get every chance. SADLERS HILLS must be frustrating for connections. Has ability but won’t run straight. STELLINA is always a blow out chance. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – EBONY MAGI WIN Race 6 BIG SHOT PADDY announced himself as a seriously progressive Geraldton Cup hope with his effortless last start win. Looks like the penny has dropped with him and he should be waltzing in again. WOODMANS KEEP is an interesting runner at the 1900. Has been racing extremely well all campaign and gets it soft. KARNATKA is capable of producing a big finishing burst on the right day. OUR TWO BOBS WORTH bobs up from time to time at odds. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – BIG SHOT PADDY WIN Race 7 KINTAIL has been stiff all preparation. He can throw in a shocker from time to time when things don’t go his way but historically his best runs have been for left handed whip riders. He gets the best in the State aboard here and if he is winning one this preparation it is Thursday. CORPORATE TRADER is a nice horse on his day and if he can get a three wind track into the race can definitely get over them. TAP THE GO GO went well fresh after given a good push on radio by Azzopardi. REBELLIONAIRE gets the run of the race. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 6 – 1 Suggested Bet – KINTAIL WIN Race 8 HOT STYLE looks like marching through the grades late in the season at Gero. His first-up effort this preparation was very poor by his standards but he bounced back hard and can go continue on his merry way. FULLY STOKED, LADY SATAB and HOT STAR run into each other more often than not and there is not much between any of them ability wise and form-wise. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 5 – 7 Suggested Bet – HOT STYLE WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 3 5 1,3,5,6 3,4,5,7 Market Market
