Shortte’s Handful for Cannington Posted on April 15, 2016April 15, 2016 | Posted by David Shortte David Shortte’s Preview Race 1 No. 1 DALGETTY Outstanding sprinter who has won 16 of his 25 starts including the Group 1 Temlee and his last 2 wins at Sandown over the 515 metres have been first class. Has enough early pace to hold up into a prominent position through the first corner and from there he will take a whole lot of stopping. Looks one of the bets of the night. Race 7 No. 3 DUBLIN BULL Handy stayer who won a heat of the Association Cup at Wentworth Park two starts back in 42.26. Forget he went around in the final last start when luckless and instead go on his effort 5 back when a winner over the 715 metres at Sandown in best of the night time. Looks really well placed in this heat and should take a heap of stopping. Race 8 No. 1 ABOVE ALL Race 10 No. 3 LIONESS LULU Front running stayer who has been in slashing form over the 720 metre trip at Wentworth Park in recent times managing 3 wins and a 2nd from her last 4 starts. Her racing style looks ideally suited to the new Cannington circuit and with a safe getaway she clearly looks the one to beat.
