Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on July 23, 2024July 23, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 JAZZCLUB won in dominant style on debut and that form held up at Flemington last Saturday through Red Aces. PHOTOGRAPH covered ground but still proved too strong to break her maiden last start and looks suited by the extra 100m. There wasn’t much between ROYAL HILL and PERFECTLY GOOD down the straight last start and both should cope with 1300m. DIAMOND FIRETAIL is in the game. Selections: 1,6,5,4 Suggested Bet: Jazzclub to win Race 2 LA CASONA hit the line strongly first up and should appreciate stepping up to 1400m. OUR QUEEN has upside, she had jumped out well leading into her dominant debut victory and shapes as a strong winning hope again. MISLEAD stuck on well in a stronger race last start. MANHATTAN VIEW was no match for Our Queen two starts back but broke her maiden well last time and will make her own luck. Selections: 3,7,1,6 Suggested Bet: La Casona each way Race 3 FRAGILE LOVE seemed to appreciate coming back to 1000m last time and should be suited by what appears to be a solid tempo. IPHIMEDIA should be at peak fitness and also looks suited dropping back to 1000m. RUSSIAN BOBSHARK may need some luck from the inside draw but is fit and racing in good form. DREAMZEL will be part of the speed but is flying and handles soft ground well. Selections: 7,5,3,2 Suggested Bet: Fragile Love each way Race 4 DICTIONARY stuck on well in the same race as THE DEVIL IN HER last time and both have strong claims in an even race. DSHINGIS PRESTIGE showed promise at his first two Australian runs and has changes stables since a disappointing run in Sydney. A VOTRE SANTE, KING’S CROSSING and WUDDZZ have claims. Selections: 3,5,1,10 Suggested Bet: Dictionary each way Race 5 MIGHTY had the right run to score at his first run for the new stable but will strip even fitter. RUN LIKE HELL has jumped out well to resume and likes it wet. GREYT MUMMA has jumped out nicely between runs and gets blinkers first time. MISS ICELANDIC, I CHOOSE YOU and SHAIME are in the mix. Selections: 6,3,7,1 Suggested Bet: Mighty to win Race 6 MAGARTEN only won narrowly first up but has always shown above average ability and will strip fitter. RACKEMANN is racing in great form and loves wet ground. ELECRTIC IMPULSE was below her best in a stronger race last start but also loves wet ground. FRETTA has upside and has jumped out ok to resume. Selections: 6,7,10,12 Suggested Bet: Magarten each way Race 7 ITHADTOBEZOU has chased well at her two runs this prep and should appreciate the extra 100m. HOLA AMIGOS didn’t have the best of luck last time and has been kept fresh for this. BEWS has also been kept fresh and the form through his last run in Adelaide has held up well. ULTIMATE KISS has returned in great form and can make his own luck. STRUCK GOLD and SKIING had the pattern against them at Bendigo last start behind Ultimate Kiss. Selections: 14,10,1,3 Suggested Bet: Ithadtobezou each way Race 8 Competitive finish with some progressive gallopers. LINCOLN ROCKS impressed winning at his first Australian start over 1400m and is a winner out to 2200m in NZ. SPARE COIN dug deep to hold off the challengers last start and gives the impression 1800m will be ok. BLAZING REBEL chased well behind AWASH last start and both have strong claims. STAR VEGA is unbeaten here and has had excuses this campaign. Selections: 9,6,8,3 Suggested Bet: Lincoln Rocks each way Market Market
