Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Cranbourne Preview Posted on October 3, 2023October 3, 2023 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 The forecast suggests a strong chance of a rain affected track. TIDAL FORCE has jumped out nicely for his Australian debut and handled wet tracks in NZ ok. QUIZLET has trialled well for her debut. NINNITA has shown talent and may appreciate getting back on a turf track. MOONGLOW MISS improved nicely at her second run for the stable and has the tactical speed to offset the wide draw. Selections: 6,11,10,9 Suggested Bet: Tidal Force to win Race 2 COLLEANO get blinkers on, he comes through a great form race behind Sheva and Wolfy and has handled rain affected ground well in a jumpout. DELIVERING gets blinkers among his gear changes and also brings some strong form lines. HYPEMAN will strip fitter third up and didn’t have the best of luck last time. DIRTY WEEKEND has been jumping put well for his debut. Selections: 1,2,4,3 Suggested Bet: Colleano to win Race 3 PICKAXE was below his best last start but has been freshened and his previous form was solid. AWASH chased well after covering ground last and looks the main danger. HELL FOLLOWS hit the line ok when she got clear late las start. TURPIN’S TORMENT comes through the same race as Hell Follows and has some claims. MOONSHINE ANNIE and I’M PHYSICAL may need some luck from their wide draws (pattern dependent) but are in the mix. Selections: 5,2,9,10 Suggested Bet: Pickaxe to win Race 4 HAARACAINE was below market expectations last time but gets blinkers on and should appreciate the step up to 1600m. KATDEEL comes back slightly in distance but has handled soft tracks well and will be strong late. HIGHLY LIKELY showed good improvement last start and maps for a good run. TO BE FRANK close off well on debut and looks suited by the extra 100m. SURE THING is another that should be suited stepping up to this trip. Selections: 1,2,7,10 Suggested Bet: Haaracaine to win Race 5 PICKY pulled up with a slow recovery at stakes level last time and should appreciate the drop in grade and getting back around a bend. PRINCESS HALO has jumped out nicely between runs and looks capable of measuring up the this stronger company. RUSSIAN BENEFITS did enough first up and is a heavy track winner. VEGAS DIVA had excuses working in the run last start and handles soft tracks well. BEAUKATI resumes for a new stable and both her wins to date have been recorded first up. Selections: 7,3,2,4 Suggested Bet: Including 7,2,3 & 4 in quaddie Race 6 HE’S HANDSOME will be approaching peak fitness third up and his wet tack form is solid. MOOTESSA may have peaked on her run first up and can settle closer from the draw. GO TO HOLLYWOOD has been working home well in races of some depth and gets blinkers first time. PINK BEAU TY, THEORUM, ESTRAPAZ and BENCOUVER have claims in a deep race. Selections: 5,8,3,9 Suggested Bet: He’s Handsome each way Race 7 Competitive race. LADY ADELAIDE ran well after covering ground first up and is a winner here. MAGNETIC PRINCE had plenty of excuses in the same race as Lady Adelaide prior to his win at Mount Gambier. SWINDON LASS will appreciate getting on a track with give in it, as will FREE TO MOVE. Last start winners AWOL, DIDDLEY SQUAT and GOLDEN PIERRO are in the mix with GHETTO SUPERSTAR. Selections: 13,2,7,5 Suggested Bet: Lady Adelaide each way Race 8 MOSCOW RED is going ok and will be suited by the forecast rain. BRASADA will strip fitter second up and will appreciate the rise in distance. REDELLA has jumped out ok to kick off at a suitable trip with Ollie aboard. SWEET LIAISON doesn’t win out of turn but will be strong late on the fresh side. SLATE and MY GIRL ZARLIE have claims. Selections: 1,2,8,14 Suggested Bet: Moscow Red each way Market Market
