He gave a great sight before being run down by a smart one on debut, then looked good himself dominating from the front last start. BUCCLEUCH had a confidence booster last time, both his previous runs indicating a good level of talent. IMPENDING WAR looked good winning the Elvstroem Classic first up last time and will strip fitter. MILLENIUM BLADE and BELLA PIETRA have claims. Selections: 2,4,1,3 Suggested Bet: Observer to win Race 2 SHOCKLETZ gets up in the weights but relished to the step up to 2000m here last start and looks the testing material again. NEARCO FROD chased well behind Shockletz and will strip fitter third up. PROCHESTER gave a sight in the same race and looks likely to do so again. FRONTLINE ACTION will strip fitter third up and should appreciate getting back up to 2000m. STYLISH SECRET is drawn wide again but has the talent to win this with luck from the draw. VELLASMACHINE is rising significantly is grade and distance but impressed breaking her maiden at her second start. Selections: 3,2,7,11 Suggested Bet: Shockletz to win Race 3 CLEO CAT strikes the straight for the first time but has a versatile, tractable racing style and looks hard to beat. MIDWEST had excuses last start and can give them something to chase. EXTREMELY LUCKY has undoubted talent and has jumped out well for the new stable. MARBLE NINE handles he straight well and doubt coming back to 1100m will be an issue. Selections: 5,2,3,4 Suggested Bet: Cleo Cat to win Race 4 TAKEN is obviously racing in great form but appeared to take it to another level last start. FROM A DISTANCE has plenty of upside, there’s been plenty of merit in his three runs to date and 1600m should suit. DARK SIMBA, like Taken, is racing in great from and maps for a good run. MOMENTZ didn’t have the clearest passage chasing Taken last time. Winning Toast has been most impressive on the Ballarat synthetic track but this is tougher. Selections: 1,8,2,10 Suggested Bet: Taken to win Race 5 RED GALAXY should be suited by what should be a solid tempo and will be close to peak fitness third up. CAFE MILLENIUM ran well at his first run for the new stable and 1400m on a spacious track appears a suitable option. HE’LL RIP has jumped out well before his first up win and looks well placed with the claim form a low draw. CARINI has been a frustration but has trialled well between runs and may be ready to improve for the new stable. FREAK OF NATURE is a noted first up performer and has been jumping out well. Selections: 10,2,14,7 Suggested Bet: Red Galaxy each way Same Race Multi: Red Galaxy (Top 2) + Cafe Millenium (Top 4) Race 6 Competitive staying race. BOLD SOUL should be right at his top now and his recent form is solid. That form ties in GOLDENSTATEWARRIOR, MUKTAMIL and SAMUEL LANGHORNE, who have obvious claims again. CAPATIN ELECTRIC won an easier race in dominant fashion first up but appears more effective on rain affected ground. DIWALI drops back from in distance from the Sandown Cup but is racing in great form. Selections: 5,8,10,12 Suggested Bet: Bold Soul each way Race 7 SPLASH BACK has plenty of upside, she won well first up for the new stable and looks hard to beat rising to 1400m second up. MOLLYNICKERS didn’t have the best of luck last start and that form has held up. AVEBURY is going well for the new stable and will give a sight. WINGS OF SONG drops in grade and has a case. Selections: 6,3,5,1 Suggested Bet: Splash Back to win Race 8 JIMMY THE BEAR has retuned in great form and maps for a good run behind a solid speed. VERDAD has been kept up to the mark with a jumpout between runs and should strike a suitably firm surface. POUNDING is a likely improver after going ok on track that are probably wetter than he prefers. ST LAWRENCE has shown good ability at time and has trialled well for the new stable. DASHING, HOLYMANZ and REGAL ZEUS are among the other winning chances in a deep race. Selections: 3,12,6,8 Suggested Bet: Jimmy The Bear each way Race 9 Intriguing race with a few promising gallopers rising in grade. FEILDELO has been most impressive in her two wins to date and the times back up the quality of her performances. SHE’S AN ARTIST was expected to win on debut and did so in the manner of horse destined for better races. SALSA FELLOW was held up badly here last time but sprinted impressively to score when finally clear. SUN SETTING has been winning easier races in good style and overcame difficulties to score last start. BRIDAL WALTZ is going well and proven at this grade.
