Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 20, 2025 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 NUTBUSH GIRL (5) has worked her way to the front and recorded five successive victories. Those drawn inside her look likely to let her lead again and she looks to make it six in a row. OPAL HUNTER (8) has been racing against collectively stronger fields and is an obvious danger but the wide barrier hurts. FRISKY STYX (6) is getting back to his best and will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. BETTERTHANSECRET (1) can be placed if she sits on the favourite and they don’t go too hard. Tips: 5 8 6 1 Suggested Bet: NUTBUSH GIRL (5) to win. Race 2 CHIVALRY (1) isn’t known as a quick beginner but he has pretty good record of holding up from the pole and he will give a great sight if he can muster through at the start. His stablemate, SPYGLASS (4) resumes here after a nice trial win and Lindsay Harper has chosen to drive him so monitor the betting. QUINTON (10) is drawn to enjoy a soft run on the pegs and his chances will improve if the polemarker holds up. ROCKANDROLLARTIST (9) is drawn poorly but he is flying and loves the sprint trip. Tips: 1 4 10 9 Suggested Bet: CHIVALRY (1) to win. Race 3 ARMA BELIEVER (1) followed back-to-back Pinjarra victories with a solid 4th to PETES HONOUR (7) after facing the breeze. He gets the chance to shoot for an all-the-way victory tonight and appeals as the one to beat. THELITTLE MASTER (6) was driven outside of his comfort zone when a solid 2nd in easier company at his last start and will be charging home here if there is a solid tempo. CHASING REX (4) followed a close-up 8th in the golden Nugget with a comfortable win here last week and looks a major player again. PETES HONOUR (7) is drawn poorly but can’t be overlooked on his dominant last-start victory. Tips: 1 6 4 7 Suggested Bet: ARMA BELIEVER (1) to win. Race 4 JUSTCALLMEMIKI (8) was held up at a crucial stage but flooded home when narrowly beaten in the Golden Nugget before comfortably beating older horse here last week. He is yet to prove he is as effective when racing wide on the track but he looks in the zone so happy to take that risk. ALTA TRIBUTE (4) did all the work and was placed in both the 4YO Classic and Golden Nugget before running on well to finish 6th to Mister Smartee here last week and will make his presence felt again. GOLDEN LODE (12) finished a close-up 4th in that event and will be suited by the likelihood of a solid tempo. TUALOU (4) is unbeaten when leading and will give a great sight if he can find the front. Tips: 8 5 12 4 Suggested Bet: JUSTCALLMEMIKI (8) to win. Race 5 LITTLE DARLING (2) went into last week with a losing sequence of 12 but there was plenty of merit in her recent form. She then outstayed her rivals to win here at this track and now looks the one to beat with the likelihood she will find the front. AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (4) was huge in the Norms Daughter when she worked hard in the early stages, suffered a flat tyre and still finished to 2nd to PENNY BLACK (10). She loves the staying distance and looks likely to control the race from the breeze and fight out the finish. PENNY BLACK (10) is flying and can win but this is her worst possible barrier and she looks well under the odds in early markets. NASE VIRA (1) will enjoy a nice run and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 2 4 10 1 Suggested Bet: LITTLE DARLING (2) to win. Race 6 NATHAN STREET (8) has had no luck in his two WA starts and has finished near the rear on both occasions. He clearly has plenty of ability and should be winning but his tractability is a concern for those taking the short quote. FAT LOUIE (6) has shown ability in his ten-start career and he warmed up for this with an impressive Pinjarra trial win. Voak may intend to maintain his barrier advantage which would make things interesting. BETTOR ARCADE (5) is a notch below the favoured pair but can be placed. ECLIPSE LINE (1) was a solid winner at his first run in WA and the rise in class is offset by the pole draw. Tips: 8 6 5 1 Suggested Bet: NATHAN STREET (8) to win. Race 7 LIL HAPPY FELLA (7) has been unplaced in his last seven starts but his last few efforts have had plenty of merit and he looks the value at each way odds. ELWADDELL (9) was desperately unlucky here last week and has the class in this company to overcome the wide draw. TORREVEAN AMY (2) doesn’t win too often but she should cross and sit behind the speed which brings her right into place calculations again. OUR MAJOR MARK (3) and BET ON THE RIVER (4) will both have designs on the lead and whoever finds the top should give a sight. Tips: 7 9 2 3 Suggested Bet: LIL HAPPY FELLA (7) each way. Race 8 MAD MONDAY (8) has impressed with fast-finishing 2nds at his last two starts and can go one better if he can get the right cart into the race. FULL SWING DENARIO (7) brought up back-to-back wins when defeating MAD MONDAY (8) at this track and is capable of bringing up the hat-trick if he can get the right trip. CAPTAIN STIRLING (9) has the best form in the race after running 2nd in the WA Derby but could be in for a tough run. CONTROL THE ROOM (2) led when a 4.4m 3rd to FULL SWING DENARIO (7) and MAD MONDAY (8) at his last start and the sprint trip could help him turn the tables. Tips: 8 7 9 2 Suggested Bet: MAD MONDAY (8) to win. Race 9 Great field of 2YO’s with multiple winning chances. PATRIARCH (5) was ultra-impressive in winning at his Australian debut and I’m happy to put him on top but I think he is better suited at a longer distance. AMALFI KNIGHT (8) should be undefeated and has the high speed to overcome his wide draw. IN RARE AIR (7) followed two victories with three consecutive 2nds and should be right in the finish again. NITE SNIPER (1) has won his last two in easier company and the rise in class is offset by the pole barrier and the sprint trip. Tips: 5 8 7 1 Suggested Bet: PATRIARCH (5) to win. Race 10 QUIGGLEY (4) and MAJESTIC GA GA (7) have fought out the finish at their last two starts with both recording a victory. Going with QUIGGLEY (4) tonight with the 20m advantage and he is a better price. No knock on the mare who will be hard to beat, particularly if QUIGGLEY (4) doesn’t find the front. PATCHED (8) is proven in this company but looks under the odds in early markets being first-up off a 50m handicap. ARISTOTLE (1) broke through at his last start and could go on it with it now. Tips: 4 7 8 1 Suggested Bet: QUIGGLEY (4) to win. Market Market
