Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on November 3, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 VULCAN STAR (2) was an impressive stand winner at his last start before a short break and appeals as the one to beat tonight from this draw. SEERYANFLY (4) won four on end before disappointing at his last two runs before going for a break and looks a major player first-up. ARMED REACTOR (5) led when 2nd to his stablemate at his last start and should be thereabouts here. HEZA HEAD HONCHO (1) led throughout in 1.56.9 here at his last start and may attempt to do the same here but is up in class and distance. Tips: 2 4 5 1 Suggested Bet: VULCAN STAR (2) to win. Race 2 SAHARA STORM (3) has finished towards the rear at her last three starts but did lead throughout here back in August and can improve sharply. THE KRAKEN (1) led from this draw when a narrow 2nd in 1.57.6 two starts back and will give a great sight if he can hold up at the start. MIRRAGON (4) is a quick beginner who loves the sprint trip and will be hard to catch if he crosses at the start. DOMINUS FACTUM (7) is the class runner of the field and is a quick beginner but has a lot of speed drawn to his inside. Tips: 3 1 4 7 Suggested Bet: SAHARA STORM (3) each way. Race 3 IDEAL AGENT (10) is the class runner of the field and will be hard to hold out if he sees daylight at the right time from his awkward draw. EUPHORIA (5) crossed from a wide draw and led throughout here last week and will be hard to catch if he can take up the running again. DOC HOLLIDAY (7) has been placed in eight of his nine starts this time in and should be right in the finish again despite the wide draw. SMOOTH RYE (1) has been unplaced in her three starts since returning to WA but can improve sharply from the pole. Tips: 10 5 7 1 Suggested Bet: IDEAL AGENT (10) to win. Race 4 MAGNIFICENT STORM (9) couldn’t reel in Gambit here last week after two impressive victories and appeals as the one to beat tonight despite the horror draw. MIGHTY CONQUEROR (3) disappointed last time in and resumes here without a trial but would be the obvious danger to the favourite at his best. PATRONUS STAR (4) ran 2nd to MAGNIFICENT STORM (9) at his last start before a spell and is always dangerous with the right run. HAMPTON BANNER (7) can utilise his brilliant gate speed here and will give them something to catch if he crosses at the start. Tips: 9 3 4 7 Suggested Bet: MAGNIFICENT STORM (9) to win. Race 5 TRICKY MIKI (6) has impressed in winning his last three starts and appeals as the one to beat despite wide draw. MACHS BETTOR (4) led and was only caught late by TRICKY MIKI (6) at his last start and can turn the tables if the breaks go his way. STREET HAWK (10) was a strong 3rd from the breeze behind the favoured pair in that event and is the other winning chance but has an awkward draw to overcome. LINEBACKER (11) is a rung below the three favourites but can be placed with the right run. Tips: 6 4 10 11 Suggested Bet: TRICKY MIKI (6) to win. Race 6 WHATABRO (1) has led throughout to win his last two starts, both from this draw, and gets the perfect chance to bring up the hat-trick despite the rise in class. MACHNIFICENT (5) has a sharp turn of foot and will be charging home if he can get the right cart into race. TYPHOON BANNNER (4) was in top form last time in and looks a major player first-up if he is anywhere near his top. KNOW WHEN TO RUN (2) had no luck here last week and should play a part from his nice draw. Tips: 1 5 4 1 Suggested Bet: MACHNIFICENT (5) each way. Race 7 EIGHTEEN CARAT (1) overcame a backline draw to record an impressive win at her first run back from a spell and is clearly the one to beat from the pole. BORN TO BOOGIE (10) wasn’t as impressive last time in as she was in her previous campaign but would be the obvious danger to the favourite if anywhere near her best. BOORAA (11) and LADY JADORE (2) are drawn nicely and both look good place chances. Tips: 1 10 11 2 Suggested Bet: EIGHTEEN CARAT (1) to win. Race 8 ROBBIE ROCKET (1) didn’t have much luck at his first run back from a spell and can improve sharply if he handles his first attempt from the stand. AUSSIE SCOOTER (4) has won and finished 2nd at his first two stand events and is a major player off the front line. FIREROCKFIREROLL (8) started at $1.34 when defeating AUSSIE SCOOTER (4) here two starts back but goes back to the 10m handicap tonight. BLITZEMBYE (12) is the class runner of the field but will have to circle a full field to win. Tips: 1 4 8 12 Suggested Bet: ROBBIE ROCKET (1) to win. Race 9 DOURADO (1) worked to the front when led a 1.57.9 winner at his last start and will be hard to catch if he holds up from the pole draw. HES NEVER BEEN BETA (7) was ultra-impressive in winning in 1.56.5 at his last start but is the worst drawn of the main chances. VELOCIPEDE (6) faced the breeze when 2nd to DOURADO (1) at his last start and can turn the tables with a better run in transit. BRONZED (4) goes up in class on his last-start Northam win but can be placed. Tips: 1 7 6 4 Suggested Bet: DOURADO (1) to win. Race 10 LITTLE DARLING (6) has been placed in 11 of her past 12 starts and is the class filly in this field but is drawn outside her main rivals. FIVE BANGLES (1) ran on well to record a first-up win against weaker opposition and the rise in class here is offset by her perfect draw. CHAMPAGNE VERYONE (2) was a good winner at her last start and will be in the firing line throughout. WALL STREET GIRL (4) isn’t the most reliable filly but can win a race of this nature if she puts her best foot forward. Tips: 6 1 2 4 Suggested Bet: LITTLE DARLING (6) to win. Race 11 IMA ROCKABILLY REBEL (4) hasn’t had any luck in his two runs back from a spell and appeals as the one to beat here. MASTER PUBLISHER (5) has been placed at his past two starts and looks the obvious danger to the favourite. OUR SHELLEY BEACH (1) has disappointed at his last few starts but has had excuses and can be a big improver from the pole tonight. ROCKSTAR REBEL (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. Tips: 4 5 1 10 Suggested Bet: IMA ROCKABILLY REBEL (4) to win. Market Market
