Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 24, 2022March 24, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 DONT BOTHER ME NONE (4) won nine of his eleven starts last season but hasn’t returned in the same form. He looked a bit sharper when leading throughout at his last start and is the one to beat here if he can produce anything like his best. ROCK ME OVER (1) led throughout from this draw three starts back and should give a great a sight here. WILL I ROCKNROLL (5) drops in class on his recent assignments and must be considered. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (2) is drawn to get a lovely run just off the speed and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 4 1 5 2 Suggested Bet: DONT BOTHER ME NONE (4) to win. Race 2 HEEZ OUR PERSEUS (1) has only been placed in one of his last five starts but draws to lead tonight and will be extremely hard to catch in this company. ZAZU (4) is the obvious danger but will need some luck in running to upset the favourite. BILLY MACK (2) was a strong 3rd at his last start and looks a good place chance from his nice draw. THE LAST DROP (3) wasn’t fancied at his first run back from a 10-month absence but performed fairly and will be fitter for that run. Tips: 1 4 2 3 Suggested Bet: HEEZ OUR PERSEUS (1) to win. Race 3 SHEEZ OUR HOPE (1) led before taking a sit here two starts back when a convincing 1.55.3 winner over ANGEL IN WHITE (7). She has options at the start and is the one to beat. VIVERE DAMORE (4) has been placed in three of her last four starts and should make her presence felt from this draw. ANGEL IN WHITE (7) is racing well without winning but has a tough barrier to overcome. MY SWEET DEAL (2) should enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be in the money at good odds. Tips: 1 7 4 2 Suggested Bet: MY SWEET DEAL (2) each way. Race 4 DOC HOLLIDAY (2) was a strong 1.55.9 winner from the breeze before running on well last start. He can be driven aggressively from this draw and appeals as the one to beat. IDEAL AGENT (9) is first-up from a wide draw but won in 1.53.5 and 1.51.9 before going for a break and must be considered. BETTORSTARTDREAMING (4) is one-dimensional but is rarely beaten when he leads and will give them something to catch if he finds the top. ARMA EINSTEIN (5) has impressed in winning his last two starts but has drawn awkwardly here. Tips: 2 9 4 5 Suggested Bet: DOC HOLLIDAY (2) to win. Race 5 HITTHEROADJACK (7) has four wins and three placings from his seven starts this time in. He has proven his versatility and looks a major player again. MACZ BROTHER (4) has won three of his five starts since resuming from a spell and is ready for the rise in class. HENGHENG (1) hasn’t been convincing in his two runs back from a spell but should be a sharp improver from the pole. ORLANDO BLUE (9) is the other class runner of the field but has a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 7 4 1 9 Suggested Bet: HITTHEROADJACK (7) to win. Race 6 GEE SMITH (2) was first-up from a short break when he defeated a weaker field here in a mobile event. He is suited by the short-course stand and will give a great sight if he finds the top. IMA FIVESTAR GENERAL (8) is the class runner of the field and has won three of his last four starts. It isn’t easy to win off handicaps in these events but he will be charging home. MAJOR ARTIST (1) is a reliable beginner who should be thereabouts from the pole. AWAITINGINSTRUCTIONS (6) has won the Busselton and Williams Cups recently and loves the stand. Tips: 2 8 1 6 Suggested Bet: GEE SMITH (2) to win. Race 7 VALEDICTORIAN (3) has impressed in winning both of his starts in effortless fashion. He draws outside of his two main rivals tonight but still appeals as the one to beat. SORRIDERE (2) has ran on from the rear to win both of his race starts and clearly has plenty of ability. He is drawn to be in the firing line throughout and should be right in the finish. ROLLING FIRE (1) led and dashed home in good time at his only start and holds the key to the race from the pole. MAJOR OVERS (7) has impressed in winning his last two starts but the draw makes it tough. Tips: 3 2 1 7 Suggested Bet: VALEDICTORIAN (1) to win. Race 8 JASPERVELLABEACH (1) has finished towards the rear at his three starts this time in but looks the leader here and should be very hard to catch. THE KRAKEN (3) is another who has been struggling of late but draws better tonight and must be considered against this moderate line-up. ALLWOODS ROCKNROLL (2) has been unplaced in his last eight starts but can be in the money here. LEAP OF FAITH (4) is the next best. Tips: 1 3 2 4 Suggested Bet: EIGHTEEN CARAT (4) to win. Race 9 RICH AMERICAN (1) led throughout here on Tuesday in 1.56.2 and a repeat performance would see him hard to beat. MCARDLES GEM (2) has finished 2nd at his last two starts and is likely to trail the favourite and be right in the finish again. SPY MAJOR (3) was far from disgraced when 8th to Doc Holliday in quick time at his last start and can make his presence felt here. VALBONNE (4) has been placed in seven of his past ten starts and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 1 2 3 4 Suggested Bet: RICH AMERICAN (1) to win. Market Market
