RACE 1

If LUCKY BROOK takes her place in the field from the wide barrier, she is a bet on the strength of her jumpouts. A filly by Lucky Vega ideally-suited at 1000m and can sit wide coming out of the chute, soft ground in her favour. EGYPTIAN DANCER is an obvious improver in second campaign, green on debut and spelled, like the jumpouts, inside gate is a query. PROFUMO ran well on debut, sitting off the speed coming wide here from the chute, should be strong late. FACE THE WILD some claims resuming.

RACE 2

Nicely weighted is NEXT STOP IOWA and can race handy to take advantage of the claim, looking for three on the bounce and is well-placed to win again. PER SEMPRE is airborne this time in, had speed on to suit at Swan Hill and rounded them up, she does need it soft to show her best. DELICATE LADY is fit and & inform, tricky gate, LUNA CAT racing well, needs a win.

RACE 3

WRITTEN GLOW is a fast filly and debut winner in NZ making her Australian debut for Team Hayes. Trial winner at Traralgon leading in, should be in it a long way. RACE FOR RULE and AFTERBERNA come through the same race, the latter too strong late. MISS LOLA was strongly supported breaking her maiden on the lakeside and received a good ride, this is harder again. A drying track helps BIOLOGICS after disappointing last start.

RACE 4

Speed should be ok early with MY ROCA FELLA running them along. SKIPPERS CANYON drops back in distance, needs the speed on, if that occurs he’ll take beating. Impressive last start winner SAVOUR THE DREAM meet similar opposition, goes up 2.5kg. AMLETO is holding form. FOIRE DE TRONE is three weeks between runs but has jumped out in between runs.

RACE 5

Speed is good. GILDED WATER likely leader from BANKERS CHOICE now racing forward, the former started favourite first-up in a similar race and pulled up with EIPH, good recipe to bounce back into the winner’s stall, jumpout since just fair, take on trust. CADMUS gets blinkers on, hasn’t won for a while, look for him to be charging late. NELLIE LEYLAX brins a different form line switching states. Need a market push.

RACE 6

The speed is strong on paper. FARCITED returns gelded this campaign for a new stable and was given a solid test winning a Cranbourne jumpout. With the speed on and the wide draw, he should let down well. SATIN DIVA sat off the speed and was too strong at Mornington, race sets up similar. SET ME LOOSE is progressive, drawn low, will cop pressure in a forward position. GROUND CONTROL is in the mix after a good recent jumpout.

RACE 7

Another good tempo expected in the hardest race of the day. FIRST CHORUS backing up onto a firmer track is the starting point. The import THINK GIANT has looked good at the jumpouts, winning both, he is fresh off 35 weeks, needs to be wound up and in the right camp to be fit enough. MR BLUNT disappointed last start after a good win at Flemington prior. May look to be closer in the run. MADIYYA is very consistent, due a win.

RACE 8

Open race. Easy to like is BIG SWINGER, racing in good form and can roll more forward if they choose to do so from the gate. ROADCONE returned to the winners stall beating HE’LL RIP and drops in weight. FANCIFY hasn’t won in a long time, an improving track is the key to her chances and has won here previously. GRID GIRL is third-up not much went right last start, also in the mix.

RACE 9

CARBONADOS is an enigma. His best efforts are usually fresh and has jumped out well to resume. Soft ground and the speed on gives him a shout. BAZABALL REWARDED is airborne, she now has to go to 1100m. LANDMARK got too far back at Sandown, chance to improve if he can stay in touch with a set of blinkers applied. NAVAL ACADEMY would appreciate a firmer surface.
