Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 28, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 MIRACLE MOOSE (5) is flying with two wins and four 2nds from his last seven starts. He faced an impossible task but ran on well to finish 2nd to Balcatherine here last week and will be right in the finish again. TIFFANY ROSE (2) led throughout here two starts back and will be hard to catch if she finds the top here. THE BLACK CARDINAL (1) is racing consistently and has options from the pole. JUST BARNEY (10) ran 2nd to Balcatherine here recently and could be the value runner from this draw. Tips: 5 2 1 10 Suggested Bet: MIRACLE MOOSE (5) to win. Race 2 ULTIMATE OFFER (4) is in peak form and has been ultra-impressive in winning his last two starts. He meets a collectively stronger field tonight but appeals as the one to beat. ONE FOR DAVE ANDME (1) is likely to end up buried on the pegs but is racing well and will be dangerous if he sees daylight at the right time. OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (12) has been placed at three of his last four starts and has the strength to overcome this draw. DOMINATE THE DOJO (6) is capable of crossing at the start and looks a good place chance again. Tips: 4 1 12 6 Suggested Bet: ULTIMATE OFFER (4) to win. Race 3 THE BIRD DANCE (7) was ultra-impressive in overcoming a 20m handicap to win here last week. He is the worst drawn of the main chances but still appeals as the one to beat after last week’s effort. MR KIWI (4) started favourite and ran 3rd in that event and will be a major player. RUNAWAY THREE (2) doesn’t have the class of the two fancied runners but will give them something to catch if he finds the front. AUSIE DELIGHT (1) ran 2nd to As Happy As Larry from this draw four starts back and can be placed. Tips: 7 4 2 1 Suggested Bet: THE BIRD DANCE (7) to win. Race 4 CHICAGO BULL (8) has won two of his last three starts and is no stranger to awkward draws in small fields. He is likely to be forced to do all of the work again but is still clearly the one to beat. OCEAN RIDGE (1) is an enigma but did upset CHICAGO BULL (8) and Shockwave two starts back and must be considered from the pole. ICEENOTHINK (2) has the draw to suit his racing style and can be dangerous with some luck. VULTAN TIN (7) looks back to his best and can play a part with the right run. Tips: 8 1 2 7 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (8) to win. Race 5 ALWAYS AN ANGEL (12) has won her last four on end, including a strong win from the breeze in the quickest heat. She has a backline draw to overcome but has proven her versatility and will prove hard to beat. UNCONDITIONAL (6) has impressed in winning her last two starts, the latest a dominant 14m heat win, and looks the obvious danger. JUST FOR LOVE (1) is an eight-start maiden and had her chance when 2nd in her heat but has the pole draw. BETTOR BEACH BELLE (10) is drawn to get a soft run and can be placed. Tips: 12 6 1 10 Suggested Bet: ALWAYS AN ANGEL (12) to win. Race 6 GRAN CHICO (1) was a comfortable winner at his first run in WA before finishing in the second half of the field in the 4YO Classics. He resumes here without a trial but should be very hard to beat if near his best. ROBBIE EASTON (5) chased hard when a brave 2nd to Taroona Bromac at his first run back from a break and looks the main danger. MISTER BUSHIDO (9) is flying and has won three on end but will be giving a start to his rivals from this draw. SEMIRAMIDE (4) needs luck in her races but can be placed with the right trip. Tips: 1 5 9 4 Suggested Bet: GRAN CHICO (1) to win. Race 7 ALWAYS AN HONOUR (1) led throughout here two starts back and should hold up and prove hard to beat from the pole tonight. TAROONA BROMAC (2) has won 11 of his 17 career starts including an all-the-way victory here last week but won’t get it as easy tonight. JUST ROCKON BYE (9) has ran on well from similar barriers to win and run a close 3rd at her last two starts and can’t be overlooked. BETTOR BE OSCAR (6) has won three of his last five starts and is always dangerous with the right run. Tips: 1 2 9 6 Suggested Bet: ALWAYS AN HONOUR (1) to win. Race 8 MASTER PUBLISHER (4) has hit top form with impressive wins at his past two starts. Gary Hall Jnr has chosen him over the stablemate and he can use his barrier advantage over his main rivals. COPY N PACE (7) has won three of his past four starts and is capable of overcoming his wide draw. POWER AND GRACE (11) has won four of his five starts this time in and is ready for the rise in class. MANIFESTLY EXCESIV (10) has won four of his last five starts in easier company but is better known as a frontrunner. Tips: 4 7 11 10 Suggested Bet: MASTER PUBLISHER (4) to win. Race 9 TYPHOON TIFF (2) led throughout at her first run back from a spell but hasn’t enjoyed much luck in her subsequent starts. She draws to lead here and should prove hard to catch. DRACARYS (6) bounced back to her best with a victory over the boys here last week and will be charging home with the right trip. BALCATHERINE (9) has the best form in the event but will need some luck to overcome this draw. PICK MY POCKET (8) faced the breeze when a gallant 2nd here last week and can play a part again. Tips: 2 6 9 8 Suggested Bet: TYPHOON TIFF (2) to win. Race 10 LIGHTNING JOLT (6) was held up two starts back before flashing home to finish 3rd here last week. This looks an easier assignment and Ryan Warwick has chosen to drive him over the Bond runner. GANGBUSTER (1) has only been placed once in his last 12 starts but gets his chance from the pole tonight. COURAGE TELLS (3) still possesses some gatespeed in his old legs and will give some cheek if he crosses at the start. TUAS DELIGHT (11) is racing quite well and should enjoy a nice run from his trailing draw. Tips: 6 1 3 11 Suggested Bet: LIGHTNING JOLT (6) each way. Market Market
