The Scout: Saturday NBA Best Bets Posted on April 16, 2021April 16, 2021 | Posted by The Scout LA Clippers vs Philadelphia Sixers Two teams with Finals aspirations face off with the 76ers (38-17) having won three straight and the Clippers (39-18) winning seven of their own. The Clippers are a very good team but have a glaring weakness, their backcourt, in particular the centre position. With Serge Ibaka out, it leaves only Ivica Zubac and DeMarcus Cousins to deal with Joel Embiid. Embiid has been unstoppable this season and is back to his dominant best since returning from his knee injury. He’s averaging almonst 30 points per game for the season and enters this game off the back of 39 and 36 point outings. Suggested Bet: Joel Embiid 35+ Points Memphis Grizzlies @ Chicago Bulls Two teams fighting for their playoff futures with the Grizzlies (27-26) having lost three of their last four and the Bulls (22-32) losing four straight. Zach LaVine will miss this game which means we’ll get a look at Chicago with Nikola Vucevic at the centre of their offense. Vucevic is no stranger to this role and will supported this time around by Laurie Markkanen, Coby White and co. These two teams played earlier this week in Memphis, with the Grizz coming away with an 11 point win. I think the Bulls can make the necessary adjustments and exact revenge on their home court. Suggested Bet: Chicago (Head to Head) @ $2.40 New York Knicks @ Dallas Mavericks The Knicks (29-27) have won four in a row while Dallas have split their last four games, including their most recent game that saw Luka Doncic make a ridiculous buzzer beater against Memphis. Julius Randle has been the man this season for the Knicks. A first time All-Star, he’s averaging 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. His improved three-point shooting has allowed him to be a threat both inside the paint and on the perimeter. The Mavericks looked sluggish in their last game against the Grizzlies and I think the Knicks get the better of them here. Suggested Bet: New York (Head to Head) @ $2.40* *Odds correct as at 2pm, 16th April 2021. Market Market
