The Scout: EPL Week 32 Posted on April 8, 2022April 8, 2022 | Posted by The Scout Southampton vs Chelsea Southampton (12th) look to be counting down the days until season end, going four matches now without a win. Chelsea (3rd) have had a disappointing week with back-to-back defeats at Stamford Bridge, 4-1 to Brentford (EPL) and 3-1 to Real Madrid (Champions League). Thomas Tuchel’s side can’t afford to unravel at the finish line of the season, as they are currently just five points ahead of 4th placed Tottenham and 5th placed Arsenal. This away trip at Southampton is suddenly must-win for the Blues. It’s no secret that Southampton like to play an attacking style of football which should suit Chelsea down to the ground. The counterattack should be available throughout the match with Kai Havertz and Timo Werner the likely beneficiaries. Suggested Bet: Chelsea to Win @ $1.88* Aston Villa vs Tottenham Aston Villa (11th) have hit a wall losing three straight matches in the Premier League while Tottenham (4th) are on the opposite trajectory, winning their last three. Tottenham’s spot in the top four (and the Champions League) is now within their own control and Antonio Conte’s team is firing on all cylinders, coming into this match off a 5-1 battering of Newcastle and a 3-1 victory over West Ham. The difference between these teams is the offensive weapons that Tottenham have at their disposal. Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min and Dejan Kulusevski are producing some fantastic football at the moment and should be too much for Villa in this matchup. Suggested Bet: Tottenham to Win @ $2.20* Manchester City vs Liverpool Manchester City (1st) host Liverpool (2nd) at Etihad Stadium in a highly anticipated fixture that could determine who wins the Premier League title. City have left the door open for Liverpool who are now just one point behind them. Liverpool have been on a tear recently, rattling off 10 straight wins in the Premier League as well as an emphatic 3-1 away win over Benfica in the Champions League midweek. Jurgen Klopp’s men are at the height of their powers and will come into this match with maximum confidence. Mohamed Salah has shown time and again that he is built for matches like this. The Egyptian star has a great record against City, scoring at least once in four of the last five meetings. I think he adds to that tally here. Suggested Bet: Mohamed Salah to Score a Goal @ $2.80* *Odds correct as at 12pm, 8th April 2022. Market Market
