The Scout: EPL Matchday 17 Posted on December 12, 2019 | Posted by The Scout Burnley vs Newcastle Newcastle (11th) travel to Turf Moor having won back to back games, and collecting 13 points from their past six games. 13th placed Burnley enter this clash having lost three straight, including last weekend’s 5-0 spanking at the hands of Tottenham. The Clarets have scored just once in three matches. Newcastle have lost just once since the start of November. The spike has coincided with a renewed attacking flair, and the form of veteran Jonjo Shelvey, who has scored a goal in each of Newcastle’s last three matches. For Newcastle, this looks the perfect time to be facing Burnley who have been experimenting (unsuccessfully) with lineups, and look a shell of the side many had expected them to be this season. Suggested Bet: Match Result Newcastle @ $3.60* Southampton vs West Ham Southampton have won two of their last three games but still find themselves in 18th spot on the table. Meanwhile West Ham (16th) have lost five of their last six. The Saints have scored seven goals in their last four Premier League fixtures, led largely by Danny Ings, who has scored in five straight matches. Both of Southampton’s recent wins have come at home, scoring twice each time. West Ham look down and out, and if the Saints can carry on their goal scoring ways (I think they can) it’s hard to see Ings not being a part of the action. Suggested Bet: Anytime Goalscorer Danny Ings @ $1.92* Manchester United vs Everton Wins over Tottenham and Manchester City has seen Manchester United rise to 5th on the table, still five points shy of Chelsea in 4th. Everton snapped their three game losing streak last weekend against Chelsea. Now 14th on the table, they are just two points ahead of Southampton in 18th. Both teams have scored in Manchester United’s last five Premier League fixtures and I’m thinking this will continue off the back of how both of these teams are playing. Richarlison has scored in Everton’s last three Premier League fixtures and looks ominous here again. United are undefeated at Old Trafford in their past six Premier League games, despite the suspect form of their defense. The last time they kept a clean sheet was back in September. I see Everton scoring here, but ultimately coming up short against the rejuvenated Red Devils. Suggested Bet: Manchester United Win & Both Teams To Score @ $3.40* *Odds correct as at 1.25pm, 12th December 2019. Market Market
