Bournemouth vs Liverpool
8th December, 8.30pm WST

Liverpool were down midweek in the second half against Burnley, but a sublime ten minute burst saw them come away 3-1 victors and further stamp themselves as legitimate title contenders. Jurgen Klopp’s men come into this match just two points behind Manchester City, having won their last four games with a combined score of 9-1!

Bournemouth have had a tough run of fixtures in the last month . Matches against the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal have been the catalyst for the Cherries losing four of their last five, with the midweek win over Huddersfield (2-1) coming at the perfect time.

Despite the slump, Bournemouth have scored at least one goal in each of their last five matches while more than 2.5 goals has been scored in 12 of their last 13 matches across all competitions. Expect Liverpool to be too strong in an entertaining clash.

Chelsea vs Manchester City

Chelsea’s midweek loss to Wolves has seen them drop to 4^th on the table, now a full ten points behind their opponents here. They’ve won just one of their last four League matches (coming against the bottom placed Fulham) which included a 3-1 manhandling by fellow top four contender Tottenham.

Where do you start with Manchester City? They might be the most talented roster in all of football with world class players at every position and are yet to lose a match this season.

Manchester City boast several top 10 players in the League, but what makes this team so special is the genius of manager Pep Guardiola. Pep is a football savant and uses the depth of this squad to implement different strategies and line-ups best suited to dismantle his opponent.

We won’t see City at odds like this very often for the remainder of the season. They look the bet of the weekend.

Leicester vs Tottenham
9th December, 3.45am WST

Leicester’s unbeaten run in the Premier League is now at six matches, albeit following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Fulham. The Foxes sit at 9^th on the table but are playing scrappy football (to put it kindly). For a team known for their attacking style, they’ve scored just eight goals in their last eight Premier League matches.

The Spurs are starting to show more than just glimpses of their best football. Christian Eriksen is now injury free and is looking magnificent. He is the general for this team and when he plays well, the likes of Harry Kane (three goals in three games), Dele Alli and Lucas Moura follow suit.

Tottenham have a real chance here to entrench themselves in the top four. The 3-1 win over Southampton was the best possible way to respond to the disaster that was last weekend’s loss to Arsenal. Spurs fans will be hoping that was simply a blip on the radar.
