Scott Embry’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 31, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 FRIAR’S CLASSIC is also nominated on Tuesday at Bunbury and looks like deserving to go on top dependent on which race Neville Parnham selects. Has experience down the 1000m straight which can be worth lengths. JEDAFFAIR trialed well for her return. Showed more than enough ability as a 2 year old. IN THE MOSH PIT should come across and sit close handy to them. SIMONELLY could be the improver. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – FRIAR’S CLASSIC WIN Race 2 COMING AROUND was huge on debut, no other adjective for it. The effort was as impressive as there was on the day and if he can reproduce then should be going mighty close here. LUKE’S CHOICE has done nothing wrong and will break through soon. DA FOX went well on debut and should improve for the outing. CIAO VITA is worth novelty inclusion at a price. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 12 Suggested Bet – COMING AROUND WIN Race 3 DEIMOS is still very green and raw and new so can keep on improving with racing. Again drawn awkwardly and may get a fair way back but he looks progressive and worth following. BOMBARDMENT continues to find one or two better than him but it is only a matter of time before he breaks through. WEE RIPPER was an improver stepping out in trip and could bob up. CAN HE HUSSEL was crunched one day at Ascot and has ability. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – DEIMOS WIN Race 4 KIA ORA STAR has been extremely costly to punters to follow this preparation. Always around the mark and always well in the market but finding it tough to break through. Was scratched from a winnable race to be saved for this. Gets his chance. MAGICAL CHARM is dropping back from the staying trips after trainer and owner advised she may not stick the trip. Interesting runner. TIME TO HUNT simply had to win his last assignment on paper. This is tougher. HIGH TEA deserves to break back into the winner’s circle but finds ways to get beat. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – KIA ORA STAR WIN Race 5 MIKIKA is the full sister to stablemate Misty Metal and has really looked good at trials. The most recent was not knocked around and the previous trial when winning defeated Missing Pro who won on debut and Devoted Star. This looks a good race for her and she should fire across from an awkward draw. PICASSO BAY was far from disgraced over the short course first-up this preparation. Up in trip a big plus. METALLIC QUEEN showed glimpses as a 2 year old and could be the blow out. JUST TOO HOT was hitting the line well at Geraldton earlier this campaign. Numbers: 11 – 7 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – MINIKA WIN Race 6 NIKLAUS had fairly big raps on him in his first campaign as a 2 year old. Went really well on debut from back in the field after doing a lot wrong and then was well supported in a Saturday race when not giving a lot. His recent trial was good and Pateman is white hot. VINACEOUS had shades on in the most recent trial and showed good speed. Should settle midfield with cover. TRADE POWER hails from the most in form stable in the state. Pearce Brothers low flying. AY TEE EMM was a far better run last start. Numbers: 7 – 13 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – NIKLAUS WIN Race 7 NEMIROFF should come out running from the gate and if Stone can come across and sit in the breeze or even cross to the fence then looks like the one they all have to run down. VITAL BLAST was a strong first-up winner over a subsequent winner and then drew a horror gate when well supported at Ascot. WATTO’S FURY was a much improved run last start. ADMIRATION STREET draws sticky but was fairly luckless last start. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 7 – 13 Suggested Bet – NEMIROFF WIN Race 8 RAISE A SMILE has had two starts down the straight and run placings at both. Recent trial was great, overall form is strong enough and Pike is riding drawn the right side. GLASGOW GIRL was annihilated in the market first-up down the 1000m straight at Pinjarra. Closed a remarkable $1.60 and couldn’t hold out the class dropper in My Demi. This race looks easier and should prove hard to beat. ARAFURA went well track/distance last start and has blinkers added. SLIK SAM ran a brilliant race down the straight last campaign but draws poorly on the flat. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – RAISE A SMILE WIN Race 9 RETOSONA has been a little disappointing this preparation but this race is a nice option. Drops out of Saturday grade where leading them up and fading late but both career wins have been with Carbery on and he reunites here. DICKOLETTO showed huge promise early in his career and has one of the most distinctive galloping actions in the state. Interesting to see how he goes. SOULSANA and LAUFEY both return after long absences and both have ability on their day. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – RETOSONA EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 7,10,13 2,6,7,11,13,14 2,3,4,5,8 1,2,5,6,7,8,10 Market Market
