Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on January 22, 2019January 22, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 NICKLAUS left all winning chances in the gates last start. The stable is in great form and the riding change saw him jump at trials. If he can find the front he’ll take beating. DIVINE SHADOW comes from the same trial and was finishing off powerfully. Looks like winning races early. DIVINE QUEST was a nice run fresh but draws a sticky alley. DEEL RED will keep on improving as he steps out in trip. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – NICKLAUS WIN Race 2 ACERMETRIC was a sharp improver second-up after doing it tough first-up. Blinkers go on and O’Donnell in the saddle. Should come out running and try to find a spot in running. OUR GIRL MARLI was simply run off her feet fresh and is better suited at this trip. PRIZED NEMESIS was the target of strong early support and the loyal owners may have punt money from the opening event. I’M SILK ran a big race first-up and may sneak under the radar. Numbers: 4 – 7 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – ACERMETRIC WIN Race 3 PINK N GRAY comes from alternate form lines to most of these. Was severely out classed first-up but draws the right side of the 1000m straight and could be worth inclusion at odds. FIRESALE looks a speedy Brett Pope type that should be suited down the 1000m. THE SQUIRT has run nice races track/distance including a second fresh when down the middle. FAIR SASSY is the third of the Pope horses and also has winning chances. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 1 – 13 Suggested Bet – PINK N GRAY EACHWAY Race 4 STIRLING ESTATE went very well fresh and is a proven commodity down the straight 1000m. At an eachway quote he is worth a nibble. SANTIAGO GAL was scratched from Saturday to be saved for this and her overall form looks superior to rivals. If she can travel down the straight she’ll be hard to beat. RAISE A SMILE was well thought of fresh and ran a nice race. Now draws the right side importantly. FESTIVE EXCESS has been trialing well and has toe. Numbers: 10 – 3 – 8 – 4 Suggested Bet – STIRLING ESTATE WIN Race 5 DAISHIO is first-up after 150 days away from the races and interestingly Fred Kersley engages a 3kg apprentice first-up. Win on debut was very nice and she can win this if she’s wound up. PATIENCE PHILLIPS is only an Esperance maiden winner but absolutely bolted in and previous trial was just as impressive. PURE MAGNUS is nominated Wednesday and Thursday and will be competitive whichever way they go. REGAL COUNSEL is a class dropper and has to be hard to beat again. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – DAISHIO WIN Race 6 EUPHONIOUS was scratched from the open 3 year old race on Saturday where she probably would have jumped around $15 and been competitive to be saved for this. She can position right over the speed and prove hard to beat. LOVE TRADE was $61 into $7.50 last start when saluting after a riding change. She can win again without surprising. DAWN MISSION has been below par so far this campaign but possible the 1300 will help. WANTED DESIRE will lob out the back and be saved for one last run. Numbers: 12 – 9 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – EUPHONIOUS WIN Race 7 BURNING PRIDE joined the Williams stable before her last race and she nearly broke through straight away. If she can recapture and hold some of her early three year old form she will win plenty. DEIMOS is very green and raw but think he is well above average. EXPRESS FLIRT is double nominated for Wednesday and Thursday and right in the mix for both. RED SNITZ has not shown as much as expected of recent times. Freshened can improve sharply. Numbers: 9 – 1 – 2 – 12 Suggested Bet – BURNING PRIDE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 3,8,10 1,2,3,4,8 9,12 1,9 Market Market
