Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 22, 2022June 23, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 BLEECKER STREET finished second to Diamond Command and beat home Edward’s Choice (goes to a Saturday SWP this weekend) and looks even better suited stepping out in trip. The sharp step to a mile is a test for any of these youngsters (as the acceptance numbers attest) but he looks capable of sitting over the speed and proving too strong late. LORD RANDOLPH may well work his way to the top and control the tempo. Big improver when able to find the fence at start two. PRINCE I THINK has been back to trials and while wayward clearly has a level of ability. FOREST JUMP next best. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – BLEECKER STREET WIN RACE 2 MAGIC WHISTLE is knocking the door down and looks to have found his best chance yet. Finish sixth in a 3 year old 62+ behind Zephyra, The Velvet Queen, Mojo Rhythm, Tiff’s Lad and Passion Prince and then finished second in a C1 2100 at Belmont Park. Looks hard to beat from the gate. SOCIAL IMPACT is a hard filly to get a gauge on. She looked like she was going to end up in a race with the ambulance at the 600 last start before getting a second wind half way down the straight and charging to the line. Bizarre. SYRIANOS gives the impression he’ll stay and worth noting that Brad Parnham jumps on. DARN NOBLE continues to work to the line strongly. Numbers: 2 – 9 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – MAGIC WHISTLE WIN RACE 3 KUTSANYA is a rising 7 year old but on what he’s displayed so far he won’t be a maiden much longer. Roy Rogers produced him first-up, no trial at Pinjarra over 1300m and it took the talented She’s Puzzling half the straight to reel him in. Thought he gouth on well and up to 1500m he can come out running and be in front for a long way. LOOK HERE PUNK continues to be well supported in betting and is running nice races. You would imagine he comes across with Kutsanya to sit in the breeze. YAKYAK wasn’t a bad effort first-up in what is arguably a stronger maiden than this. IM A SPECIAL GIRL is going well and improved quickly first-up to second-up. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 12 – 9 Suggested Bet – KUTSANYA WIN RACE 4 TOO MUCH TALK finished second to On The Full first-up this campaign and expecting that to prove a handy little form reference race. Drawn barrier 1, gets an extra 100m to suit and has always shown ability both at trials and on race day. Think he’s ready to win one. FRENCH CHILL sat three deep outside the leader in a race which has produced Capital Flight and Senorita Dorotea for subsequent plunge victories. THE ILLUSIONIST has been given plenty of educational trials and the best of them was the most recent. MADAME WU ran into She’s Puzzling and Kutsanya first-up. Could look like good form after Race 3. Numbers: 1 – 13 – 7 – 9 Suggested Bet – TOO MUCH TALK WIN RACE 5 REGAL ACCESS has shown ability at trials. Won a trial in October 2021, finished second to Harmika in a trial in January 2022 and finished a solid second in a Lark Hill trial in May. Was first-up down the 1000m straight at Pinjarra and the punters did not forget to back him. He was $12 into $4.80 and while beaten a margin think that Kamarshall and Smiling Girl are handy maiden types. Willing to follow up. FRUIT LOOPS hasn’t been seen for 6 weeks but his recent form was consistently good. Since joining Fred Kersely he hasn’t run a bad race. SERVICEMAN is running out of chances. He can gallop but he seems to always find one or two better than him. EXALTED ROCKSTAR next best from the good gate. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – REGAL ACCESS WIN RACE 6 SMILING GIRL might get under the radar in early markets if the focus is entirely on The Big One. Went around a huge price last start but ran out of her skin when leading up against the outside fence and being run down in the last 50m by Kamarshall who was undefeated at trials. Worth a throw at the stumps because she should jump and lead again. THE BIG ONE finished second to Karalee Rocks (beating home Seeable), finished second to Oly’s Choice and then finished second to Seeable. SJ Miller brings him back to 1000m and puts a set of blinkers on for the first time. CELTIC GREY an unknown down the straight but has some X-Factor. GYPSY GEE is better than she’s currently showing. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – SMILING GIRL EACHWAY RACE 7 ALKALINE has seemingly turned a corner under Tony Giglietta. First-up winner at 1920m at York in a 46+ and since then three deep for 1200m in the Apprentices Challenge when still running third to Sunsphere and The Hawkeye before being plunged in betting in a 60+ Graduation at Belmont Park when luckless turning for home, held up at a vital stage. Acting God, Aragain or Mojo Rhythm would be odds on in this. PHENOMENAL ANOMALY can be hit and miss. He seems to travel super in the staying races and he’s drawn a gate to get a gun run. Always willing to forgive and forget one run in the stayers. CARTANERA is a lightly raced filly who is looking for this trip. LE GRAND RISQUE won well last start. Numbers: 8 – 4 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – ALKALINE WIN RACE 8 THE HAWKEYE is a handy stayer for these midweek type ratings races. He has proven that he’s better than the 46+, 52+ type races at York and Narrogin and now is getting his chance in the inner provincial/metro area. From gate 1 he’ll do no work and he’ll be winding up late. DANCE OF THE SOUTH is a hard mare to run down when she’s allowed to get things her own way out in front. Likely rolls forward here and makes her own luck. ALL MAN flashed up along the fence at Belmont 8 days ago. More than capable of winning but remember the fence was an accelerator belt last week. THREE EZE is flying for the new stable. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – THE HAWKEYE WIN RACE 9 KOLCHINO looks awfully well placed by Darren Taylor into this C1. Since breaking his maiden he has gone round $3.50 in a C3, $5 in a Westspeed Platinum, $7 in a 60+ Graduation and $9.50 in a 66+ (racing outside the handicap). Drops back into a C1 for the first time since breaking his maiden and is versatile. His run two starts ago was super from off speed and his maiden was from off speed. No idea where he settles (which is an obvious query) but on class alone he should be mighty hard to beat. SECRET LAIR is a last start maiden winner who carries the same weight. Backs up and should get a soft run. MONG KHON is knocking on the door and can come across. LADY OF BABYLON looks about ready. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – KOLCHINO WIN RACE 10 SEBERATE looks to have found his best race in Western Australia since arriving. Has had two 72+ and two 66+ outings since arriving, finished third to Itsarayday at Ascot and then most recently was stiff not to get out and go close to finishing at least in the money behind Billy Ray (subsequent winner). Drops into a C5, draws barrier 1 and is a proven weight carrier having won with 59.5 and placed with 60kg+ on four occasions. Right place, right time. DAZZLING DANE is a get back, run on type of mare who will more often than not find traffic or bad luck. Has upside. ALTERNO was huge first-up in WA. If he reproduces, he’s a genuine danger. SNEAKY FOX a blow out with no weight. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 4 – 13 Suggested Bet – SEBERATE WIN Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 4,5,8 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9 2 1 Market Market
