Chris Nelson’s Randwick Rundown Posted on July 8, 2016July 11, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 5 No.9 Cosmopol Team Hawkes trained galloper who should be ready to peak at his third run back from a break tomorrow. He’s come up with wide draws at both runs this time in suggesting his first up effort when second here was good having to come from well back in the field. Forgive the latest when just having to work too hard early in the run. Placed only run on Heavy ground he looks a good value chance. RACE 6 No.2 Defrost My Heart Trainer Chris Waller has a couple in this race well up in the markets with this being one of them. She looks a really dour type who can run all day long, as we’re on a Heavy surface tomorrow that’s going to work in her favour. She has won and placed on Heavy ground at three attempts to date and the drop back from 2600m to 2400m shouldn’t pose any concern. RACE 8 No.9 Lycia Filly from the Godolphin stable who has returned in good order this campaign with a win and close up second from two starts. She faces her acid test here rising from midweek level however based on those efforts she’s more than capable of measuring up. She receives a nice weight drop to offset the class rise and her record to date suggests she’s a swimmer. Go well.
