Perth Cup Day – Tips and Form Posted on December 31, 2015December 31, 2015 | Posted by Greg Hooper RACE 2 NO. 3 FLYING ROAR This looks a nice assignment for FLYING ROAR. He has found at his last two starts including a fast finishing effort here three weeks back after missing the start. This race looks devoid and any natural speed and if he can step cleanly from gate 1, find the front and dictate he has terrific each-way claims. RACE 3 NO. 8 GIGANTE Talented sprinter GIGANTE will be looking to make amends for his unlucky first-up run in this 1200m sprint. He settled just off the speed when resuming however was held up at crucial stages and was eventually beaten a tad over a length. He should lead or breeze and take plenty of running down. RACE 6 NO. 3 COSMIC STORM COSMIC STORM broke back into the winners’ circle with a big win over a mile a fortnight back. She rises slightly in class however Pike has elected to take the ride and if she gets any luck from her awkward draw she takes a stack of beating again. RACE 8 NO. 11 NEVERLAND Quality four-year-old mare NEVERLAND has had a faultless preparation leading into this season’s $500,000 Perth Cup and with Pike electing to take the mount she rates very highly. She was held up in the A.T.A Stakes and finished with plenty of gusto when in the clear over the final 100m. Her middle gate looks ideal and the 5kg swing on the star stable mate Delicacy may just give her an edge. Bet Now!
