Oli Cownie’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on July 15, 2024July 15, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch Race 1 OUR MAESTOSO (8) has an imposing overall record winning fourteen of his eighteen starts, missing the minor money just once. Forced to do it the hard way last time out he was too good. DARK SECRET (5) secured a soft pegs trip last start, was able to work clear and finished powerfully into second. LUVAFLAIR (6) won impressively two starts back sitting off a strong tempo. LINE THE STARZZZ (3) was able to find the lead last time out and ran a good race. Tips: 8 5 6 3 Suggested Bet: DARK SECRET (5) each way. Race 2 SAVE ME (2) totally luckless in two starts so far. When making his run last start he locked wheels, once clear he finished off powerfully late into fourth behind Noble Thorondor. CAPTAINS CREEK (3) showed moderate gate speed to drive through lead and win his trial. COMO EL VIENTO (6) started his career with a win leading all the way, faced by an awkward draw likely to make things tougher here. The well named PINJARRA ROCKS (4) trialled up reasonably and must be respected in the Kim Prentice camp. Tips: 2 3 6 4 Suggested Bet: SAVE ME (2) each way. Race 3 SPOIL THE PARTY (9) has begun his career impressively yet to miss the top 4. Faced by an awkward draw but does have the ability to overcome it. SPINNER OF YARNS (7) recent form has been impressive. Finished off strongly last time out into second. MANGO TANGO (4) has some gate speed and is racing well. BETTERTHANSECRET (3) disappointed last start but ran a good fourth the start prior first up from a spell. Tips: 9 7 4 3 Suggested Bet: BETTERTHANSECRET (3) to place. Race 4 LADY DELA HOYA (2) trialled impressively in preparation for her debut. Half to a horse called Double Act which has always shown ability over east. MIDWIFE CALLING (1) another to likely secure a soft pegs trip behind the short priced favourite, she is racing well. INTERNAL AFFAIRS (10) has raced without much luck recently, may need to do it the hard way again. CAPTURE THE FLAME (7) is faced by an awkward draw. Should be better for the run last time out coming into this race second up. Tips: 2 1 10 7 Suggested Bet: MIDWIFE CALLING (1) to place. Race 5 HEAVENLY WAGE (6) has become somewhat of a lightning lap specialist winning five of his level starts at the trip. Draws to advantage here can go close again. TANTABIDDI (10) brilliant gate speed and has returned well from a spell. Faced by a tricky draw but he does have tactical speed to offset that and land a good position. LOMBO MITCHINSON (8) impressive two runs back parking outside Prince Of Pain. Had the pegs trip last time and finished off fairly, this looks easier. UNDER THE ALTA (5) went around big odds last time out and never got into the race. Tips: 6 10 8 5 Suggested Bet: HEAVENLY WAGE (6) to place. Race 6 BUNDEGI BLUE (3) has gate speed and looks the likeliest leader. Always shown ability and should prove hard to catch if he can lead. MAJOR CLASS (4) lead the one wide line and battled on for third behind Artful Miki. May need to do the work again which could make things hard. TRUNKEY CARRAWA (10) ran a good second behind Insta Gator. This certainly looks no tougher and he can be finishing it off strong. ISLAND TEE REX (8) tricky draw, impressive second to Prince of Pain two back looks great form for this race. Tips: 3 4 10 8 Suggested Bet: BUNDEGI BLUE (3) to win. Race 7 ETON ROCK (4) showed gate speed two back at Gloucester Park before fading out of it. Looks suited back to the lightning lap distance. DONTBESILLYCHILLI (6) luckless behind Navy Street, went right down to the line without a clear passage. Appeared to be travelling well. ALTA QUEEN (10) generally races well in these lightning lap contests. Will need to navigate the wide draw. HOTFOOT IT (2) has lead and run a big race before in lightning lap races. He’s got gate speed and may dictate the early map. Tips: 4 6 10 2 Suggested Bet: HOTFOOTIT (2) to place. Race 8 WATERLOU (4) has gone to another level this time in, showing strength to go along with her brilliant speed. Failed last race start after fibrillating and was sent back to trials, where she trialled impressively. XCEPTIONAL ARMA (8) impressed last time out when third behind Soho Firestone. Takes on the fillies again here. RELATIVELY ARMA (1) lead last time out and disappointing into second starting a short priced favourite. Draws to advantage in gate 1, likely to obtain the leaders back trail on the favourite. CHILLI PUNTER (2) was a good second two runs ago behind Queeninthecorner. Well beaten last time out by Penny Black who won impressively Friday. Tips: 4 8 1 2 Suggested Bet: RELATIVELY ARMA (1) to place. Race 9 JILL MACH (3) generally a very quick beginner from the stand she can find herself a position close to the speed. FRANCO MECCA (7) secured the perfect leaders back trial last start and battled on well for second. Likely to find this more difficult off 20 metres. MIKIPELO (2) forced to do the work two runs ago in a metro stand before a third behind Master Leighton last time out. SPORT SPORT SPORT (6) wasn’t beaten far last start in her first stand start, should be better for the experience. Tips: 3 7 2 6 Suggested Bet: JILL MACH (3) win. Race 10 BRULEE (10) drops back from mares FFA company last start finishing seventh behind Three Rumours. Should find this a lot more suitable. GOODEALEHMADDIE (7) finished strongly last start but was no match for winner Allaglow, will need some speed on. PUREST COPPER (9) finished off well last time out once clear. OUR LILILOU (8) draws awkwardly inside the back row. She is racing in good form and if the runs do appear she will be finishing off well. Tips: 10 7 9 8 Suggested Bet: OUR LILILOU (8) each way.
