Matt Young’s Tuesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 24, 2024December 24, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 OHOKA NICO (5) has got a solid form line for a race of this nature, he has got an abundance of early speed and having his first run in WA after travelling across from the shaky isles. I think he can burn to the top and it’ll be game, set and match. OUR SWEET POPPY (1) has a nice draw and trialled well at this venue last week, she has done things wrong in previous trials so that’s a slight concern. MIKI WINDERMERE (4) has improved every time he has stepped out and looks a strong novelty player in this. ROCKNROLL JEWEL (3) looks next best with slight novelty claims to IDEALINCIDER (6), IM BEGGING YOU (7) and WHOOPSADAISY (9), all at decent odds. Tips: 5 1 4 3 Suggested Bet: OHOKA NICO (5) to win. Race 2 Short course stand and some quick beginners off the front line, it appears to be a race to the first turn. NORTHVIEW DANCE (2) was decent last time out when back to a mobile, he normally steps well and if he led he would most likely win but he doesn’t need to lead to win. BELLISSIMO ACQUISTO (5) has had excuses recently and is stepping better. CODENAME MARCUS (4) is fitter for his last run and expected further improvement today, start is probably the big query for him as to where he lands. GOV STARZZZ (3) and MINOR CATASTROPHE (1) are both capable if they can land the box seat. FLEUR DU MAQUIS (7) is racing well but 30m against this lineup might just be a bit much. Tips: 2 5 4 3 Suggested Bet: NORTHVIEW DANCE (2) to win. Race 3 ELEGANT PEAK (8) has to overcome the 20m but looks like there could be some genuine tempo on in this that will play into her hands, she has been in top form and expecting her to go well again. The other back marker, UPTOWN LAD (9) should be considered in this also as it could play into his hands, and he has versatility. CYCLONE KADABRAMELIA (4) has the early brilliance to lead and if she can find the pegs, she will give them something to catch. BEE BEE BEROC (5) with a safe beginning will be heading forward. SELLUNE (3) is in top form and was unlucky on Friday night, he can be hit and miss from the tapes but with a safe beginning he is a major player. BETTY BOOTZ OFF (1) returned well, she will be fitter but needs a safe getaway, she has proven to be hard to catch in the past, same can be said for the returning QUIGGLEY (6). Tips: 8 9 3 4 Suggested Bet: ELEGANT PEAK (8) to win. Race 4 LA SCHIUMA (5) trialled up well before running a slashing second on debut at Gloucester Park, has put the writing on the wall and looks a nice type, keen on the chances today. LAZARUS STAR (2) returns and has good early speed, can lead them and has options but no doubt will come back a better horse. PINEAPPLE (1) has performed in top order in her two race runs, she has a nice draw but is still learning the caper. CHARLI BROWN (4) was solid last start before being declared a non-runner, comes in with each way claims. DOUGS LEGACY (9) continues to improve and can close off nicely from the back line draw. Tips: 5 9 2 1 Suggested Bet: LA SCHIUMA (5) to win. Race 5 PINJARRA ROCKS (3) showed above average ability last time in with his trials and was a solid third on debut, he has the draw advantage and looks very hard to beat in this. THE KHUKRI (4) was a recent trial winner and looks to have upside. SIR WILLOUGHBY (7) has trialled up nicely in his recent efforts at Byford, he should be kept safe here. WAVE REBELLION (9) has improved in every trial, she looks to have some ability and racing for a very much in form stable. A lot of first starters in this so hard to get a real line on the form. Tips: 3 7 4 9 Suggested Bet: PINJARRA ROCKS (3) to win. Race 6 SPICEY MAJOR (2) looks like a reins in the dust sheet job for Gary Hall Jnr here, the well-bred gelding can get a little fired up and he races at the mile, with his gate speed and talent, he should lead and most likely win. HI SUGA RUSH (1) is going to get the perfect run and will be dangerous late. GULLY GUM (5) will find this a bit tougher as it could be a single file race, but he is racing well. THE WILDCARD (3) could improve following the speed. TORPEDO ROCK (7) will be running home strongly. Tips: 2 1 5 7 Suggested Bet: SPICEY MAJOR/HI SUGA RUSH to exacta. Race 7 THE STATE OF ART (9) returns and was an impressive type last time in. Stuart McDonald brings the talent back to the track and looks well placed to return a winner. ALWAYSBFRANK (6) was a solid winner last time out, he goes up in distance but races a similar lineup. ITS JUSTA SHOTAWAY (1) had his chance last time out and draws ideally again today. MISS STEFANI (4) is improving and looks a novelty chance. KOPPER KOTE (7) is a strong staying type but it’s a tough draw to overcome. Tips: 9 6 1 4 Suggested Bet: ALWAYSBFRANK (6) each way. Race 8 MY SILVER SPOON (7) is continuing to improve with more racing this prep, he was a winner at Narrogin last time out and this looks no stronger, very hard to beat again. ICY COLD (6) can burn across these and lead and from there she will run a race. EILEENMAY (2) looks a strong place chance with her early speed and a run under her belt. STRIKING A DEAL (3) is a novelty chance at odds, has some ability. THE REAL MIKOY (9) and SWEET DUNCAN (11) will both be running on. Tips: 7 2 6 9 Suggested Bet: EILEENMAY (3) to place. Race 9 HEARTOFAHLIA (9) gets a lovely draw to watch things unfold here, she has been racing well and has been the work horse, she can follow through nicely and be dangerous from anywhere. LUCI KANE (7) has the early speed to charge forward and with a run under her belt she is likely to run a better race but also prefer her at the mile, so this may not suit. REMARKABLE ROCK (2) trialled up well enough and could cross to the pegs first and be a novelty chance. PHILTHEJUG (4) was better last time out from a nice draw, this will be a test today. COOPERS IDEAL (5) lacks that early tactical speed which will make her job harder, but she has the depth to win this. DIAMOND WORLD (6) next best. Tips: 9 5 7 2 Suggested Bet: HEARTOFAHLIA (9) to win.
