Race 1

CROWD PLEEZER (10) has returned with two strong performances, both runs showing different strengths and last start he won with something in reserve, it’s not an easy assignment from the draw but looks to have depth. TSUNAMI WAVE (4) could burn across and lead here and give them some cheek at the short course. SHERICKA (7) is a strong chance with any luck, nice return. HARMONY HALO (6) wasn’t a bad effort in trials and must be respected as Brett Smith does a good job with his team. WHERES MY HALO (9) has shown promise and is a novelty chance from the draw.

Suggested Bet: TSUNAMI WAVE/CROWD PLEEZER to Quinella.

Race 2

Open race. HURRICANEHOPE (6) did plenty of work last start and just got tired late, can roll forward and run a big race here, ready to win. THEYCALL ME STOOGE (9) will be running on strongly; tempo could be suitable to bring him right into it. IM ROCKIN ROD (3) is a chance to get across to lead and could be cheeky. PACIFIC EAGLE (1) and ZUEDE (2) aren’t known for their early brilliance, but both are racing soundly. BLUE BLAZER (10) trialled well and will be running on strongly. KOPPER KOTE (8) was solid last time out and could continue a positive trajectory and THE RIGHTEOUS (5) racing soundly but has a tricky draw.

Suggested Bet: HURRICANEHOPE (6) to win.

Race 3

REELEM INN (5) has the speed to work forward and most likely find the top, has a few strings to her bow and will give them something to catch. TAXI IT IS (7) was luckless first up and will benefit greatly from that run, just needs a touch of luck from an awkward draw and will be very hard to hold out. CINDYS SECRET (6) is racing well, must be considered for the novelties even from the draw. WATCHING LIPPY (1) has the nice draw, was a better effort last run and can run into the placings. SIMPLYTHEBEST (9) returns and has ability, will be running on.

Suggested Bet: REELEM INN/TAXI IT IS to Quinella.

Race 4

RELLIM (1) has the good draw and had trialled up well before a sound effort last time out on New Years Eve, he is a versatile type and should run well. THE WAND WAVER (2) and WATCH ME WAVE (6) are racing in terrific form with a lot of similarities in their form lines. STATE MY CASE (7) better draw should see her finish in the money, battled on soundly from the breeze last time out. RAJAH ROCKS (5) has good early speed, I think he’ll need to cross to win and have found him hard to catch in the past, he is racing soundly. LIGHTFOOT LEIGH (9) will run on and SWEET DUNCAN (10) returns for the new stable, creates some interest.

Suggested Bet: RELLIM (1) each way.

Race 5

DOURADO (9) was fantastic in victory last start and really turned his form around, stepped well and that will come into his chances as it is a short course, on his last run he is hard to go against. GEE SMITH (6) meets him 10m better off and was solid in defeat, last run was much better for him as well. BLAMEITONTHENIGHT (8) had a hard task on return, capable but needs a solid beginning. ISAIDBOO (3) is a novelty chance with YANKEE LINCOLN (4) and RAMBO RABBIT (7) who is going well but this is harder.

Tips: 9 6 8 4

Suggested Bet: DOURADO (9) to win.

Race 6

THE BETTOR SIDE (9) is the class and looks to have a distinct advantage in this race, he is versatile and can get the job done but likely to be heavily favoured in the market. BROOKVALEGIRL (6) has plenty of early speed and could burn across to the top and give some cheek. ANYWHEREIGOHUGO (2) could be a sharp improver in this, better run on Saturday at Albany. DOUBLE THE ANTE (5) could improve, has the ability and is a novelty chance with NUCLEAR CRUISER (1) and BRIGGS ON BOND (10).

Tips: 9 6 2 5

Suggested Bet: ANYWHEREIGOHUGO (2) to place.

Race 7

THIS TIME JACKO (2) has the speed to lead and going to give him one more chance, he did more than his fair share of work in his previous two runs and looking at his trial form I am keen he will go close. DUNAMIS (8) is racing well and is holding better consistency than the horse mentioned first, he will go close. PENTHOUSE (9) wasn’t a bad debut for the new stable, keep safe here and expected to run on. CRACKA TINNY (1) is a place chance from the perfect draw. SWANBOURNE SPUNK (3) is coming off a victory and should settle close enough. VISITING HOURS (5) good effort last run but this draw is more challenging with ELEPHANT ROCK (10) who is going well.

Suggested Bet: THIS TIME JACKO (2) to win.

Race 8

SUPREME RHAPSODY (1) looks the winner on paper, didn’t have much luck on return and looks even better suited here but won’t be a wonderful price. NIFE TOA GUNFIGHT (3) is mixing form but looks a decent chance of getting into the money. BOOM IT UP (4) really starting to hold solid consistency, looks hard to break through but should be in the money again. BATAVIA WEST (7) is perfectly drawn, place chance. SUKHOVEY WINDCHIME (2) can get into the money on return from the decent draw.
