Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 11, 2024June 11, 2024 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 WHATARETHEODDS (7) is returning and has a plenty of talent. He will have to overcome a wide draw to get the win on return but can use his versatility to his advantage, will go well. VELOCIPEDE (5) has been disappointing since returning but drops back in distance and can run a better race here. CHILLIN (9) returns off a successful campaign last time in, should be kept safe. ALLAGLOW (4) has failed to excite since returning and happy to say she is more of a place chance in this. MAJOR MANHATTAN (8) steps up in grade and will find this a lot harder. Tips: 7 5 9 4 Suggested Bet: WHATARETHEODDS (7) to win. Race 2 LONGREACH BAY (4) has improved with each trial and in good time, he finds a suitable race and has the gate speed to potentially find the top. He was settling in his races well last time in and I think he can win on return. PIVOTAL (3) can run a strong race here, her form has been against stronger and should be respected. SHEHADI (2) is a place chance from the good draw. LUCKY GALLEON (7) was disappointing on return, he is capable of a lot better but would want a better price about him. Tips: 4 3 7 8 Suggested Bet: LONGREACH BAY (4) to win. Race 3 RAKERO RAIDER (1) has the ace draw again and am willing to give him another chance from a more favourable starting point, he will be running a good race. MAJOR CORRIDA (7) is better suited to this grade, he has a good, sustained turn of foot and looks a major player in this. TORREVEAN VELOCE (2) is a place chance from the draw. ZUEDE (4) will be working home well. CAMS BOULDER (6) is holding good consistency, can figure again. LUKE ATTACK (5) mixes his form but is one of the few in the race who can do some work. Tips: 1 7 6 4 Suggested Bet: MAJOR CORRIDA (7) each way. Race 4 CHACO EAGLE (8) created a great moment last week with Sir Vancealot’s salute for the entirety of the home straight. He is fitter for that run and if he carries that form into this, there is no reason he can’t do it again. WALL STREET GIRL (7) has the draw advantage and performed well last start, does begin better from wider draws so keep her safe. AMERICAN BULLITT (5) has improved back to his better form and shouldn’t be far away here. LET IT LINGA (6) is not at her best but can run an improved race here. CAVALRY CALL (3) is a place chance. Tips: 8 7 5 6 Suggested Bet: CHACO EAGLE (8) to win. Race 5 Open race here. DON’T GOIN THEWATER (1) can improve from the draw and distance as well as further upside from the first up effort. Keep safe here. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (2) is a speedy beginner who can perform really well here, if he leads he will go close. ABSOLUTE DELIGHT (3) is on the quick backup and can do work, will run well from the breeze. THE LIGHTNING STRIKE (4) and GOTA GOOD WARHOL (7) both draw awkwardly but racing well. ROCKNROLL SPIRIT (6) suited by the class and was a more encouraging effort last time out, just a tricky draw to know where he gets to in the run. SIR BELVEDERE (10) is an each way chance. Tips: 2 1 3 10 Suggested Bet: TRITTRITTBANGBANG (2) to win. Race 6 BETTOR CLASS (6) is on the back up from a Friday night victory and can do some work in his races, he will run a big race here. LILLY LAGUNA (1) is nicely draw and can position herself well and play a part in the placings. STAR OF WILLOUGHBY (7) has been consistently unlucky, he can run into the money with some luck. ACOLTNAMEDSU (8) suited in this grade and HENWOOD BAY (9) can run well and use his toughness. Tips: 6 8 7 9 Suggested Bet: BETTOR CLASS (6) to win. Race 7 CHAMBRAY (1) was a solid effort on Friday night after doing the work and stuck on really well, she has good early speed and can fend off the challengers and set herself up for victory. CHERRY ON THE CAKE (2) will likely need the run and although she has good speed, she also has the option of getting a good run and could be a place chance. CATCH THE RED EYE (6) has been good in all of her performances but don’t think she can cross her therefore making her task a touch more difficult. PUREST COPPER (3) has improved and was well driven to victory last start, each way again here. MAKE YOUR MARK (7) is never far away and one for the novelties with CHAMPAGNE EVERYONE (9) who cannot buy a decent draw so far this preparation. Tips: 1 6 3 9 Suggested Bet: CHAMBRAY (1) to win. Race 8 ESCAPEFROMREALITY (5) looks to use her gate speed and charge across to the top, she beat Watch Me Wave last Tuesday and that horse has since made the form line look good, this mare looks hard to beat. JACKIE DANIELS (10) was second to Ideal Muscle at Bunbury and sustained a long run, if she can get into a good position early I think he turn of foot can be too strong for them late. RECOVER LOVER (9) is holding good consistency but the draw makes things harder for her here. CARMELA DOMENICA (2) is a place chance with LADY VALASCA (6) who can improve here. TORREVEAN PINKY (1) has the draw to improve but was only plain last week. Tips: 5 10 9 2 Suggested Bet: ESCAPEFROMREALITY (5) to win. Market Market
