Race 1

Open event. DROP THE ACE (1) has the speed to lead and is coming in fresh but seems to hold the key to the race in many aspects. SOME LINE (5) is improving with the way he is racing and handling the racing aspect, expect him to run a bold race. TEXAS STORM (6) was solid in his most recent run but will be a tougher assignment from this wider draw. LAST KING OF CAPEL (9) was good in his last run; think he is a major player but it’s a tough draw to overcome. LIANAKA (3) is showing promise and has upside. BOUGIE (4) is a hard one to place at this stage.

Tips: 5 6 9 1

Suggested Bet: SOME LINE (5) each way.

Race 2

SIANGDI (1) gets another opportunity here, looks a major player and I think she’s got enough speed to hold up in the early stages, from there she can break through. LORD PUBLISHER (5) is racing well and would be very hard to beat if he could lead but may have to do some work to be on speed. LUKE ATTACK (9) was good last time out but may need a similar run to overcome the draw. MAJOR MANHATTAN (8) racing well but needs to duck and weave to play a part, looks challenging from the draw. SIMPLYTHEBEST (10) ideally drawn and is a novelty chance with YANKEE LINCOLN (6) and FOLLOW THE MUSIC (11).

Suggested Bet: SIANGDI (1) to win.

Race 3

BEAUDIENE HUNTER (5) was a bold performance last time out and two starts ago was equally as good, expecting him to be very hard to beat again. DELULU (9) can do work in her races and still play a part. PINNY NOIR (4) is a speedy customer and could bounce on the lead and give them something to catch. LEAVEAMESSAGE (7) creates interest but is with a good trainer and expected to run well on WA debut. LAZARUS STAR (11) will be running on strongly, has winning claims if they overdo up front. CHARIVARI (10) can improve on the first up run but needs luck from the draw. PINJARRA ROCKS (6) is going to need a few things to go right.

Suggested Bet: LAZARUS STAR (11) to place.

Race 4

CHERRY ON THE CAKE (1) has the good draw and the speed to lead, she was brilliant in her win last time out and was in good time, this represents a rise in grade but she should give them something to catch. UNLUCKY (10) was a better run last time out and has a nice trailing draw, could go on with it now. GETN WIGGY WITHIT (9) must overcome the tough draw but has been consistent. STATE MY CASE (3) is a novelty chance with VINTAGE BLU (8), plenty of chances for the back end of the novelties.

Tips: 1 10 9 8

Suggested Bet: CHERRY ON THE CAKE (1) to each way.

Race 5

WATCH ME WAVE (6) was gutsy in defeat last time out and this grade looks suitable; she has been knocking on the door and looks hard to beat. SIR BELVEDERE (1) was driven like a major player last time out and now gets the draw, likely improver in this. JILLIBY JAKE (10) is fitter and will follow through nicely. LETS ROCK TONIGHT (8) can run a better race as he can be put into it at a certain stage, looks a novelty chance with SONIC SEELSTER (2) and STELLA MAJOR (11).

Tips: 6 1 10 11

Suggested Bet: WATCH ME WAVE (6) to win.

Race 6

EDGEEZ GIRL (11) is a nice type and was rather luckless on debut, should follow through nicely and will be running home strongly, hard to beat. ELVIRA JANE (7) has really improved in recent runs and is getting closer to breaking through. THREE FLAMES (4) has come back well and won’t be too far away. ALFA JESS (1) is a bit suspect with her early speed but could settle close enough and be in the money.

Tips: 11 7 4 1

Suggested Bet: EDGEEZ GIRL (11) to win.

Race 7

NUTBUSH GIRL (6) has gone from strength to strength since debut in the west, looks very hard to beat again in this. MIKI WINDERMERE (8) looks a strong chance, good test for him but has depth and looks to finish in the money. ELEGANT EAGLE (7) will be running on; tempo looks to suit. Novelty chances to DANGER (1), SUN PUBLISHER (2) and REELEM INN (3).

Tips: 6 8 7 3

Suggested Bet: NUTBUSH GIRL (6) to win.

Race 8

STRIKING A DEAL (4) has elevated in recent runs and has the draw advantage, should settle close to the speed and will be hard to beat. GINNIVAN (5) returns and has shown enough promise, expect him to run well. SHES MY LITTLE GEM (6) has been mixing her form since debuting in the west; this grade looks to suit for a better run. TELL ITIN HEAVEN (8) and GALVINSTON JOHN (9) can both finish in the money from their wide draws but need some luck. ELLEOFAREACTOR (1) could be placed by virtue of the draw.

Tips: 4 5 6 8

Suggested Bet: STRIKING A DEAL (4) to win.

Race 9

Open race. NORTHERN SOUL (8) has been running decent enough times to suggest a strong showing in this, keep safe from the wide gate. STAR OF THE GALAXY (3) is a long-time maiden but is now with Dean Miller who does a good job with his limited stable, could be dangerous. CAPPY THE FIREY (4) is improving and forget the last run, prior form has been decent for this grade. IDONTWANABAPIRATE (5) can run well fresh, will be running on. ON GOLDEN ROAD (2) has the nice draw but has had more than a few opportunities.

Tips: 3 8 4 2

Suggested Bet: STAR OF THE GALAXY (3) each way.
