Glenn Ingram’s Wednesday Caulfield Preview Posted on October 14, 2025October 17, 2025 | Posted by Glenn Ingram RACE 1 MR MONACO looks ready to deliver third-up after a forgive effort last start when never warm in an on-pace dominated race, back to the jumpouts since and he only needs to be put in the race early enough to be in the finish. LITZDEEL is a stayer with a turn of foot, key to his chances is Blake Shinn, with a lack of speed he can settle outside leader who is (2) KINGS VALLEY a frustrating horse, if he brings his best he gets the winning opportunity, a norton bit added to his gear. (2) GOLDEN CENTURY is improving with racing, first time Caulfield, happy to watch. Selections: 8,7,1,2 Suggested Bet: MR MONACO 1 x 3 RACE 2 CENTU CAVADDI is a promising galloper, two strong performances to date and ran out of room the latest after being given plenty of time to balance up. With more intent in this race he is the clear horse to beat. (3) REGAL AWARD comes out of the same race but no match and still doing plenty wrong. OBVIOUS enjoyed a soft run behind the speed at Bendigo and has further upside although this is much harder. TAGLINE has a strong SP profile, may find this too hot. Selections: 2,3,7,1 Suggested Bet: CENTU CAVADDI to win RACE 3 SURFIN’ BIRD faces his stiffest test to date, building a good profile he’s been kept fresh and impressed with a recent jumpout win at Flemington, he has speed to cross and lead and take catching. SHADAVAR will be parked in behind ready to pounce from a good draw. THEBELMONTGANGSTER form reads even better after defeating a since luckless Observer, potential for a flat performance second-up. OUR BENEFACTOR can sprint well fresh off a QLD derby prep. Selections: 12,5,16,2 Suggested Bet: SURFIN’ BIRD each-way RACE 4 RACHINI was impressive at her one and only Flemington jumpout, she did it at both ends and draws to land right on speed and take beating. TORNADO VALLEY will make a nice 3YO but is doing a good job at the jumpouts, if he can park up behind from the inside he should be strong late. RUDOLFINA was another to catch the eye with her 650m jumpout at Cranbourne, small sample size, she looks to have good ability. FREE FLYING next best. Selections: 8,4,9,6 Suggested Bet: RACHINI & TORNADO VALLEY to win RACE 5 MERRIGOLD is a consistent mare resuming off an impressive jumpout, she generally improves with a run under her belt but finds a nice map midfield and can finish strong, at the odds she’s a worthy spec. DON’T HOPE DO can be forgiven at listed level last start, was parked in the slower ground on the inside and had good form prior, liked the recent jumpout. GRAND LARCENY has a good sprint and will get to use it trailing the speed. SWEETHEARTED will be charging late. Selections: 8,4,5,11 Suggested Bet: MERRIGOLD 1 x 4 RACE 6 ZAMBARDO is hard to fault, heavily-bet his past two starts and delivered, had all favours last start, this is his acid test. MAKDANE could end up with a soft lead with Craig Williams aboard. RISE TO IT looks the other speed influence, firm track suits. SO BRAVE was excellent winning fresh at big odds, always shown above average ability. Selections: 7,3,2,9 Suggested Bet: None RACE 7 SHE’S A HUSTLER is a most progressive mare in the flying Grahame Begg stable, she was dominant from a trailing position at Flemington first-up and has been back to the jumpouts since with another very impressive performance. A target race second-up and can settle handy from a low draw. Current 4th emergency. The Sydney visitors add intrigue, QUIETNESS had the tempo to suit first-up and made good ground, WOOTON VERNI had a sighter this way of going at Sandown where he loomed and ran out of petrol, can improve further. STATUARIO seems to enjoy Caulfield and is ready to peak third-up. Selections: 17,11,10,7 Suggested Bet: SHE’S A HUSTLER to win RACE 8 SABAJ put down some big numbers in an outstanding 2nd prep with the previous stable, transferred to the Price & Kent stable, he’s been slow to come to hand at the jumpouts and has been in work a while, expect a fit horse presented and provided he hasn’t regressed he’s clear hardest to beat. BELTORO is one of the better roughies on the card, he’s been working super at the country jumpouts to resume, he’ll get back and run on, if that pattern is ok watch for him late. CATTOGIO should lead this field with ease, last 100m the test. NDOLA has come back well this preparation. Selections: 14,1,15,3 Suggested Bet: BELTORO 1 x 4 ROUGHIE R8#1 BELTORO MULTI Win R2#2 CENTU CAVADDI / Place R5#8 MERRIGOLD / Win R7#17 SHE’S A HUSTLER Market Market
