Race 1

TAKE A HIKE (4) made a solid return with good closing speed, small field looks to suit and expecting him to be running home strongly, also has brilliant gate speed. SONIC CHIP (1) has the lovely draw and has been luckless as of late, expecting a decent run from him. AMARETTO ANGEL (2) has good early speed but also with no back line she has options and should be close enough to earn. SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (3) won’t be far away, capable type. OURFIRSTIMPRESSION (6) novelty chance, might be one spot too far back though.

Suggested Bet: TAKE A HIKE (4) to win.

Race 2

MADDY ROCKS (2) should work her way to the top and looks likely to lead and is fitter for the first up run, should lead and win on anywhere near her best form. VYBRANT (1) is nicely drawn but lacks early speed, looks likely to be leaders back and should improve with a pegs run. JOLTED CHARM (3) won’t be too far away, looks more of a novelty chance tonight with FOLLOW MY STRIDE (5) who should be an improver in mares’ grade, this is more suitable. HONOUR THE EAGLE (8) was solid on return but the draw hurts.

Suggested Bet: MADDY ROCKS (2) to win.

Race 3

KARTIARE (6) is on his WA debut and looks to have ability, stable does a good job and looks hard to beat. BETTOR MOVE ALONG (2) is a major player, first up run was good and looks a solid chance, will be very hard to run down if he can lead. GETN WIGGY WITHIT (3) and SWEET IVY (4) will both be close enough to run home strongly. SHES A TINY DANCER (7) will also be getting home strongly. Tricky little race.

Suggested Bet: BETTOR MOVE ALONG (2) each way.

Race 4

UNDER THE ALTA (2) gains my attention again this week even though his form doesn’t suggest the strongest of form lines, he looks likely to run to the lead and could give them something to catch. VINTAGE BLU (6) is racing well and shows versatility, will be getting home well. MAJOR CLASS (9) just needs some tempo on but expecting him to be moving into it nicely. WORLD SECRET (7) first up for the new stable, form has been sound without being too flashy, can win but needs a few things to go her way. MAJOR MANHATTAN (3), BELLA RAGAZZA (4), SIDSTREPO (8) and ALWAYSBFRANK (10) all novelty hopes in an open race.

Suggested Bet: UNDER THE ALTA (2) each way.

Race 5

ALDEBARAN BOYD (4) was a solid winner at Pinjarra and that was from the breeze, he has good early speed and thought he was a big chance to run to the top and from there, looks incredibly hard to run down. DREAMBIGAIMHIGH (1) is racing well and looks a wonderful place chance from the draw. LUVAFLAIR (8) is in top form but will have some traffic ahead of her making life a bit more difficult. SELLUNE (2) has drawn down low and with no backline comes into contention for the novelties. CASHOUT (9) capable but draw hurts and he didn’t trot very smoothly last time out.

Tips: 4 1 8 2

Suggested Bet: DREAMBIGAIMHIGH (1) to place.

Race 6

SISTER CHERIE (2) returns and has the good draw, trial was solid and has the early speed to lead, she is a talented type and looks hard to run down, will receive some pressure in the run though from HILLVIEW BONDI (5) who was superb in his return run, he can place himself outside the lead and run his usual honest race. FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (6) will be getting home strongly, small field suits and looks to be a genuine tempo in the run. SUGAR APPLE (3) and MACHS BETTOR (4) look to be more novelty chances in this.

Tips: 2 6 5 4

Suggested Bet: FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (6) each way.

Race 7 

LUKES MISTAKE (7) looks suited in this grade; his last few starts have been solid and can-do work in the run which gives him an advantage over some of the others in the field. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (8) looks to improve, finds a suitable race and although not at his best, think he’ll run better here. CARA DIANA (5) will appreciate the smaller field and didn’t have much luck last time out, she is consistent. GRIN DESTINY (3) looks next best, has had a few tough runs.

Tips: 7 8 5 3

Suggested Bet: LUKES MISTAKE (7) to win.

Race 8 

MAD MONDAY (1) was very strong first up, he was able to control but was just out dashed late by a very smart type in Bettor Fortune, he looks the likely leader in this and think he could stretch their necks. RUMBLE STRIP (5) looks the obvious danger and one that I am most afraid of, with only the four runners in the event he will be close and dangerous. DUNKALLEDY (2) has the nice draw and won’t be far away and then by the process of elimination, THE KHUKRI (6) will finish top 4.

Suggested Bet: MAD MONDAY (1) to win.
