Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on May 13, 2025May 13, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Open race to kick things off. ROAD CLOSURE (10) caught my eye last run and that was after copping a bit of interference, the draw is nice and looks a winning chance with even luck. YOU FLY WITH ME (1) closed off nicely last run and has a nice draw to work with and has options. ALFREDI (8) is in his right grade and can do some work and looks suited here. COPY OF PARIS (9) comes from a wide gate and is fresh, might need the run. BRONZED (7) is capable but the draw makes it more difficult. BREWERY LANE (12) has come back well and will be running on. Tips: 10 1 8 7 Suggested Bet: ROAD CLOSURE (10) each way. Race 2 BELLY UP (3) has come back in very good form and looks hard to beat here, he is versatile and will get the job done for mine. ELITE FLEET (6) faces his toughest test but looks to have good depth but will have to do it outside the main chance. MAJOR DISCO (1) has a nice draw and is a novelty chance. BOUJEE BOY (2) can run into the top 4 from the good draw. Tips: 3 6 1 2 Suggested Bet: BELLY UP/ELITE FLEET to Quinella. Race 3 CAPTAINS CREEK (2) has been a beaten favourite on a couple of occasions now and butters up favourite again, looks the likely leader and should be fitter but wouldn’t want to be diving in too short. PAINT THE PALETTE (6) will run a big race, has good depth and first up run would’ve brought him on well. ICE COLD SAPPORO (4) is a tough type and has come back well, will run a big race. SEASIDE MAGIC (1) is a novelty chance with COMO EL VIENTO (9) who has started to elevate in his campaign. Tips: 6 4 2 1 Suggested Bet: PAINT THE PALETTE (6) each way. Race 4 IM MASSIMO (1) has the perfect draw and the first up run was strong, fitter and looks hard to beat here. CAPTAIN STIRLING (9) is dropping in grade and is a serious horse, expect him to be up outside the speed at some stage and will be very hard to hold out. BY ROYAL COMMAND (2) rises in grade but looks a strong place chance from the draw. WHEN IN VEGAS (5) will be running on but first up might need the run. CAPTAIN SAID SO (8) continues to improve but the draw is a leveller, and THE BETTOR SIDE (6) is capable. Tips: 1 9 2 8 Suggested Bet: BY ROYAL COMMAND (2) to place. Race 5 JUST ALL STYLE (5) has come back well and looks a solid each way chance, seems to race well for young Abbey Vidovich after a decent trial and luckless since returning to racing, think she will run a bold race. Thought ALLWOODS CHEVRON (4) could nearly lead this and could be a sharp improver. SIDSTREPO (6) drops in grade, but he is a hard horse to catch, should be there in the finish. SHES A MARE (9) finds this harder from the draw after a win on Sunday. MORE THAN HONOURED (11) has had a few chances and will be running on but lacks that killer blow late. JOHNNY LOMBO (8) is capable. Tips: 5 4 6 11 Suggested Bet: JUST ALL STYLE (5) each way. Race 6 Open race here. ROX THE WORLD (9) has come back well and think there will be enough genuine tempo for him to overcome the draw at a price. ATLANTIC GEM (8) returns but faces a tricky draw on resumption. PETES HONOUR (7) was fantastic on return and deserves respect. TOMMY PRICE (1) and OUR LILILOU (2) have early speed and are novelty chances. OVERJOYED (5) was super on return and will be running on again. Tips: 9 7 8 5 Suggested Bet: ROX THE WORLD (9) each way. Race 7 MALAKIE (7) is coming into the right sort of race off the back of a decent trial and looks a major player for mine but there is a touch of speculative tip to this selection. LUKES MISTAKE (12) is racing in better form and is ready to win, will go well. PHILTHEJUG (4) has come back well but draw makes it a little trickier. BEALAWYER (3) is a novelty chance, finding it harder to win. THIS TIME JACKO (1) has had his chances, happy to watch. Tips: 7 12 4 3 Suggested Bet: MALAKIE (7) to win. Race 8 RAJAH ROCKS (7) looks suited and ran a big race in his last couple runs, looks very hard to beat in this. SPUDMEISTER (12) was solid in the comeback run and should be getting home strongly again. BETTOR HAVE FAITH (6) has a tricky draw but will be finishing off strongly with stable mate BEYOND BLING (5). KOLISI (1) can be placed from the draw. PRIDDAH (4) has been a touch unlucky but faces a tricky draw. WELEASE WODDEWICK (8) needs to lift off the first up run and finished down the track. ROLLINDOWNTHERIVER (9) will be running on strongly but the draw hurts. Tips: 7 12 6 5 Suggested Bet: RAJAHWE ROCKS (7) to win. Race 9 WELLOILED (2) got caught into the breeze last time out, but the trial was solid and looks a decent chance with a touch of luck, draw suggests he won’t be far away. DIAMOND BAY (1) had zero luck last time out and has a solid chance if the lead can be held. CHRISTOPHANO (8) has shown promise and should go well on return. I AM SIAM (9) is a novelty chance with DANGER (7) and BARTLETT (11) Tips: 2 1 8 7 Suggested Bet: WELLOILED (2) each way. Market Market
