Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Bendigo Preview Posted on May 13, 2025May 13, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 I SAID SO has closed of well in both starts to date, he gets the bubble cheeker near side off and fives the impression he will be suited stepping up to 1400m. BAKERSBEND has also been closing off strongly in his stats to date and is another that appears suited rising to 1400m. DARKBONEE covered some additional ground on debut but still kept finding the line and also looks suited getting out to this trip. JASMESHOHNO looks the other winning chance. Selections: 3,1,2,4 Suggested Bet: I Said So to win Race 2 FINAL BOY defied his odds to give a great sight in a strong maiden at Warrnambool and should strip even fitter third up. NEWS TRAVELS FAST has strong claims, he did some early work last start and battled on bravely under the circumstances. ITWASONLYAKISS has the wide draw to contend with but ran well last start and will be strong late. SWIFT POWER continues to race well and gives the impression 1400m will be ok. ALVIN may not have handled the quick back up last time and his previous for read well for this. PRESAGIO has been jumping out well for his local debut. Selections: 2,5,3,8 Suggested Bet: Final Boy each way Race 3 Competitive race. MONTE CASSINO gets winkers on third up and ran well at his only attempt at 1600m to date. VIANARRA is fit, consistent and has been competitive in stronger races. DANCING DOLLY has been frustrating for punters but she doesn’t run poorly and gets a cross over nose band on. FOREST JIM wasn’t far behind Monte Cassino last start, he gets a tongue tie on and looks the other main hope. Selections: 2,4,5,1 Suggested Bet: Monte Cassino each way Race 4 MOAKSON was no match for an impressive winner at Ballarat but blinkers go on and he’ll strip fitter second up. MERCHANT OF GREECE displayed talent in his first prep and has been jumping out well for his return with the cross over nose band coming off. SHAMATEUR worked home well here last start and should appreciate the extra 100m. ORTIGIAN GIRL and QUOIN are in the mix. Selections: 3,2,5,6 Suggested Bet: Moakson each way Race 5 KYLE ran out of room back near the inside rail two starts back and had excuses again last time. SCULLY didn’t appear to come up last campaign but has jumped out well leading into this prep and is a previous first up winner. NATION STATE is another first up winner that has been jumping out well. GREATHAM BOY has also been jumping out in good style, his Singapore form reads well for this grade and he’s run well at both first up runs to date. COMMANDING SUCCESS will strip fitter second up and maps for a good run. Selections: 4,5,2,3 Suggested Bet: Kyle each way Race 6 Even race. DJOCKOVIC seems to appreciate being quietly and hit the line strongly last start under those circumstances. DESERT ANTHEM lost momentum at a crucial stage in a slightly stronger race here last time before hitting the line well when finally clear. TEWKESBURY will strip fitter third up and is suited by the rise in distance. THE RIGHT PAGE rises in grade following her maiden victory but she is lightly race with upside and the form around her is holding up. REDEVANCE is racing consistently and may be looking for this trip. Selections: 5,4,1,8 Suggested Bet: Djockovic each way Race 7 NARBOLD looks hard to beat from a good draw with blinkers on third up. TRACK PATCHER had a fruitful first campaign and has jumped out well to kick off his second prep with winkers on. BLACK STORM appeared to have his chance last start but will strip fitter third up and maps for a good run with a claim. JUSTABOOM has jumped out ok to resume at a suitable trip. HEFF and BELLE INFERNO have some claims. Selections: 4,8,2,9 Suggested Bet: Narbold to win Race 8 EYE OF THE EAGLE brings a strong first up record and his most recent jumpout alongside Giga Kick reads well for this. LAYERUPONLAYER he has also trialled/jumped out well and has won two from three first up. Not sure what to make of the gear changes including, equicast on, combined with glues on shoes and synthetic hoof filler off?? TACITO has jumped out well since his last start victory and the second horse from that race has subsequently won. STYLISH has been jumping out ok and looks suited around this trip first up. PREVAILED can make his own luck and is racing in career best form. Selections: 1,3,4,13 Suggested Bet: Eye Of The Eagle each way Market Market
