Race 1

CHERRY ON THE CAKE (6) drops majorly in grade and has very good early speed, the distance suits and she should find her way to the top, it is concerning that she isn’t racing at her best currently but this grade suits. ZIGGY VERMEER (1) nicely drawn and last few runs have been solid from awkward draws, looks to get the run of the race. STRAUNYS SISTER (7) hasn’t exactly thrilled since entering the stables of Michael Young, could have the Michael Young/Emily Suvaljko tax attached to the price and would like to see her third line of betting to be getting any interest from me. MUMMAS LITTLE STAR (3) and CRACKA TINNY (4) look next best.

Suggested Bet: ZIGGY VERMEER (1) each way.

Race 2

INTO THE FUTURE (5) has got that brilliant early speed and could work his way to the top here and from there will be very hard to beat but is much shorter than he was when winning against a similar lineup last run. ROCKY MAGUIRE (8) is knocking on the door and looks the main danger. DO IT MY WAY (4) is mixing form but looks an improver in this. ALWAYS CHANGIN (6) was impressive after doing things wrong last time out, looks to have promise. TAYLORS BOY FRED (7) next best.

Tips: 5 8 6 4

Suggested Bet: ALWAYS CHANGIN (6) to place.

Race 3

BOBBY WATERHOUSE (6) looks well placed and we’ll find out a lot more about him after he races Friday night, but at the time of this blog being written, he is hard to go past. ALTA HURRAH (8) is racing well, and the tempo could suit him, and he has good closing speed along with his stablemate KEPTAIN COURAGEOUS (9) who is unable to run a bad race, he will be thereabouts again. RYDER ROSE (1) could be an improver from the draw, has options and HOT CINDER (2) can stick on well but there is some depth. TEMPT THE STARS (5) not racing too bad but the draw is tricky and STATE MY CASE (7) is a novelty hope from the trailing draw and being second up is also beneficial.

Suggested Bet: ALTA HURRAH (8) to place.

Race 4

ELEGANT EAGLE (7) really surged strongly late and was narrowly defeated, he has a nice trailing draw here and I think with any luck and the confidence he is racing with, he will be getting home strongly again and hard to hold out. ROCKNROLL JEWEL (2) returns and has shown promise, might need the run but has the draw to figure. ROCKSTAR QUALITY (9) a winner of his last two starts, tougher draw here but is versatile. BLIND EDITION (4) novelty chance but is mixing his form, two starts ago was solid. SAVE THIS DANCE (5), THE WHIZZER (6) and SNAKEY BAY (10) all novelty chances.

Suggested Bet: ELEGANT EAGLE (7) to win.

Race 5

Thought HEEZ A VIBE (5) could ping to the top here and give them something to catch, he is on the quick backup and looks a strong chance to lead and win. HI SUGA RUSH (9) is expected to be an improver and a good lead in is Emily Suvaljko taking the drive over the main stablemates. AMBITSIYA (2) is a bit of a handful and could offer a few tricks for young junior driver Briana Edman. EYE BETTER (1) has options from the draw but had been getting quite fired up recently, could settle very handy to them. BRULEE (8) and BEYOND BLING (6) both run on type with the former most likely to get the better run.

Suggested Bet: HEEZ A VIBE/HI SUGA RUSH to quinella.

Race 6

BREWERY LANE (1) had no luck on return and that was in a lightning lap at Bunbury, got keen but still hit the line well, full of merit and add some more fitness and moving back to a standing start, he ticks a lot of boxes, should go close. RISING SPIRIT (7) is ready to win, suited to the stand and should run a bold race. VELVET SHADOW (3) is a wonderfully little earner who normally steps well and is not without claims. ISAIDBOO (4) will be running on strongly, small field suits and seems to race at his best with King Joseph in the sulky. GOODONYA MATE (5) and FOLLOW THE MUSIC (6) more novelty chances from their handicaps.

Suggested Bet: BREWERY LANE (1) to win.

Race 7

SHES A LUCKY PENNY (3) looks set to dominate, she was a great return over the mile and that is her preferred distance but with her early speed, she should be able to control and turn this into a sprint home and should get the job done. BATAVIA STREAMLINE (2) should get the run of the race and be dangerous if the distance comes into play. LETS ROCK TONIGHT (5) can do work in his races and should be getting back to peak fitness. SECOND AMENDMENT (6) will be running on well.
