Race 1

COL DU GRANON (1) has put together some consistency and looks a big chance from the soft draw at the short trip, major player in this. MRIYA DREAM (8) trialled up well and has a soft draw, needs to hold up close enough on the rail but could be dangerous. ELISH STAR (3) likes to run the gate and roll along, if he finds the top he should be around the money. GRAND MAJESTIC BELLS (11) hit the line well last time out, needs luck from the draw but is capable. SELLUNE (10) was plain in a recent trial but also capable. CASHOUT (9) has been a hard horse to gauge, could improve here as the best run we’ve seen from him was at the mile.

Race 2

PAS DU BOURREE (1) trialled up well and looks to have options from the draw, showed gate speed and finished off well in a good quarter in a recent trial, expecting her to be in the money. EXPRESSING (2) looks a speedy type who was impressive in a recent trial, should run well. SEASIDE SERENADE (6) looks to be a smart type but may have to do the dirty work here, could open short. EDGE ELEVEN (3) and IDEAL HEADLINE (5) both novelty chances.

Race 3

HEZ THE BOSS (2) was outstanding on debut and looks the winner on paper, hard to go past that effort and has a better draw, very hard to beat. LE JONGLEUR (8) was an impressive trial winner, will rely on a little bit from the draw but expecting him to run home well. GEORGE MYBOY (1) looks to have some promise and has the ideal draw to be in the money. Novelty chances to SPYCHIEF (3) and THUMBS UP JOHNNY (7).

Suggested Bet: HEZ THE BOSS (2) to win.

Race 4

DELTARIFFIC (7) looks better suited in this depth of race, has plenty of high speed and will run home strongly. SOUTHERNER (5) has hit his straps and looks a major player, if he leads, he will be very hard to run down again. BETTOR BEHAVE (6) returns and has ability, keep safe. MISS LEOPATRA (8) impressed in a recent trial, awkward draw for this big horse. Novelty chances to HIGHVIEW ROZI (2), ROMAN GUARD (3), ARMA MUSHU (4) and BUTTER ME UP (10).

Suggested Bet: DELTARIFFIC (7) to win.

Race 5

ROCKIN LE MONDE (6) is a quick beginner and although it’s never easy to lead at this distance with everyone wanting to go forward, I do think he will be good enough to cross and if he leads, I think he will win this. MADAM MAGGIE (7) can head forward and race well, this grade suggest she could be driven in positive manner. BLOCKJORG (10) and IM EUGENE (9) will both be running on from the back line. LUKE ATTACK (2) is capable and BEALAWYER (4) falls into the same category.

Suggested Bet: ROCKIN LE MONDE (6) to win.

Race 6

PAPER CRANE (2) has the nice draw and has the talent to lead and win this; we saw him win a few starts ago when leading and looks a decent rolling type. GRACEFUL SHARK (1) has the nice draw and has come back with solid performances, will get the run of the race. CASSINI BELLE (4) has had a few opportunities now, is racing in a consistent manner. CHEKKER (8) nicely drawn and hit the line well last time out, expect her to be reaching her peak now. WESMEDAD (10) has been racing consistently at Albany, novelty chance in this.

Suggested Bet: GRACEFUL SHARK (1) each way.

Race 7

STIRUP IRON JACK (6) could burn across and lead here, good rolling type and if he hit the rail I think he can get the job done, BE HOME SOON (10) is racing without a great deal of luck and will be running home strongly, he is going to be hard to hold out. GEARSINAWHIRL (1) is a novelty chance, distance seems to suit him better. IM DRINKINDOUBLES (5) performs well at this trip and can get into the money.

Suggested Bet: STIRUP IRON JACK/BE HOME SOON to Quinella.

Race 8

SEBASTIAN JAMES (11) has been in top form since coming back from a spell, he can be put into the race once they settle and looks hard to go past. Speed off the front row with DIAMOND WORLD (1) who returns off the back of a decent trial, BLUE BLAZER (2) has been racing well and can get involved early with FABULOUS DREAM (4), SKIP A BEAT (5) and BEACH CAPTAIN (6), can see a decent lead time unfolding here. WICKED HUSTLER (10) and SOUND WAVE (9) will both be running home strongly. MISS UNEEK (8) returns and might need the run, will get a soft run.

Tips: 11 10 5 9

Suggested Bet: SEBASTIAN JAMES (11) to win.

Race 9

BALINGUP BOY (1) has been consistent without breaking through and has the draw, if he can hold up in the early stages, he will be hard to run down. YOU FLY WITH ME (2) is racing well, has early speed. JINGLING JEWELS (3) is ready to win, has good speed to boot. DAT LOVELY (4) and MY LITTLE BIG MAN (5) both capable with some early speed, respect them but both likely to head forward trying to find a position. MACHANE SAID (8) a novelty chance from the draw.

Tips: 1 3 2 8

Suggested Bet: BALINGUP BOY (1) to win.

Race 10

STAPLETON (5) could charge across at the start and a chance to find the top; his best form is at this distance and shorter and can go well. THE WHIZZER (2) has been getting out the gate a lot better, and this resonates with the improvement of his figure form. MISTER KOPA (9) was luckless last run and hit the line well two starts ago, not without a winning chance. IDEAL INTEREST (6) is capable but comes in fresh from a tough draw. Novelty chances to DECIPHER (4) and BY GEE BY JINGO (10).

Suggested Bet: MISTER KOPA (9) each way.
