Matt Young’s Tuesday Bunbury Preview Posted on February 9, 2026February 9, 2026 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 ALLIZEE (6) is looking for her first win in her 40th start, form in last half dozen starts have been consistent and looks hard to hold out in a race that lacks overall depth, wouldn’t want to be diving in too short though. STAY SOBER (3) showed speed last time out and am happy to throw this in the mix racing at the shorter trip, could improve and relying on a gut feeling more than exposed form. ALTA GABBANA (7) is capable but has had a few chances now. CAPPY THE FIREY (1) nicely drawn and should settle close enough, novelty chance along with PAPPINBARRA LADY (2), STARANNA (4) and ROCKNROLL DILINGER (9). Tips: 6 3 1 7 Suggested Bet: STAY SOBER (3) each way. Race 2 SOVEREIGN JEWEL (5) has the draw advantage over some of the main rivals and showed good promise last time in, should be further improved with that campaign under her belt and looks hard to beat here. SLAY QUEEN (10) started her career off strongly and tapered towards the end of the campaign, expecting her to run well this preparation. EL RAES GIRL (11) ran a great race on return and will be further improved. ROSIES BETTOR (12) is a nice horse who must not be underestimated. ALTAS LAST (6) is awkwardly drawn with CHEFS KISS (7) but both have ability. TRIXIE DORA (8) returns but needs luck and a good test for PET SHOP ADDA (9) who rises in grade. Tips: 5 10 11 12 Suggested Bet: SOVEREIGN JEWEL (5) to win. Race 3 DUNAMIS (9) was the last man standing in his most recent run, put it to them down the back and fended them off late, can watch things unfold and be driven accordingly, in solid form. THIS TIME JACKO (4) hit the line well on Friday night, his overall form has been decent with a few tough runs, could head forward and be close to the speed. MADDY ROCKS (11) returns and is a capable type, the grade suits but the draw is a touch awkward, she has good closing speed. CIGANDA (7) has ability and strips fitter, but draw is challenging. VYBRANT (10) will be running on. Tips: 9 4 11 10 Suggested Bet: DUNAMIS (9) to win. Race 4 ALLWOOD MACH (4) returns and has a great deal of talent, was consistent last preparation and looks a suitable race on return, small field appears to suit and he is versatile, think he will go close. TURBO JAY (1) led and won last time out, goes up in grade a touch but has the draw to have them chasing again. THE WAND WAVER (2) and REELEM INN (3) both drawn to be close enough. EKARA NAVAJO (6) has good closing speed, she is coming in fresh but will be sighted on the way home. BAZAAR PACKAGE (7) faces a tough draw. Tips: 4 1 6 2 Suggested Bet: ALLWOOD MACH (4) each way. Race 5 TASHS SPARTAN (2) has the ideal draw and speed and looks likely to get to the top, in a balloted race, connections have lobbed the in-form talent of Liam Elliott and adds extra confidence going into this race, very hard to beat. ZUEDE (1) ideally drawn to be in the money, this is perfect draw and class for him. TA IN ADVANCE (3) was solid on Friday night and is racing consistently, from the draw he should land close enough and be running on strongly. TRUNKEY CARRAWA (4) was sound on return, expecting a decent run in this. GET YA BETS ON (6) and THEYCALL ME STOOGE (7) are both capable but draws and tempo of the race look to make it challenging for them. ROCKABILITY (9) capable but looks a novelty chance. Tips: 2 1 3 4 Suggested Bet: TASHS SPARTAN (2) to win. Race 6 OUR CRUNCH TIME (5) was a metro winner on debut in Aus when being able to lead and defeating the talented Rockokoko, has the draw advantage and if anything will be better suited on the bigger track after coming from the big tracks from NZ. OH MIKI (6) is in top form, racing at the top of his game and is good enough to do the work and stick on, looks a strong top 2 chance. THE BETTOR SIDE (8) is finding it hard to break through, looks a strong place chance again with even luck. Novelty chances to PRINCE OF TRIBECA (3) and JUST A PET (2) who rises significantly in grade but has been consistent in racing at Albany. Tips: 5 6 8 3 Suggested Bet: OUR CRUNCH TIME/OH MIKI/THE BETTOR SIDE to Trifecta. Race 7 IT IS CRUNCH TIME (6) just kept on trucking last start and thrived on it, was an outstanding win last time out and this looks even better suited here, will be short but should win. PRIDDAH (2) hit the line well last time out, small field suits and he can position up close enough and run home. RELLIM (5) is a consistent performer, will be running home strongly. BASINGHALL (4) is mixing his form, looked disinterested last time out. BLITZAR (1) and SWEET DUNCAN (8) novelty chances from their respective draws.
