Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 8, 2025December 8, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 GRUMPEE (9) really caught the eye after doing things wrong at the 600m, he caught the field back up and was powering through the line past runners late, I think it as simple as if he trots, he wins. He was tracking up the winner last week and looked like he would’ve given it a shake and that horse would likely win this race too. TILTHESUNSETS (1) not at his best but can bounce back and is suited in the short course stand. ARISTOTLE (6) just wasn’t interested last run and has lost his consistency since breaking through four starts ago, capable of bouncing back. SELLUNE (10) faces the tough task of 40m, but the grade is suitable and is proving a better beginner these days. SUGA DADDY (7) creates a lot of interest, stable is going well so should be kept safe. Tips: 9 1 6 10 Suggested Bet: GRUMPEE (9) to win. Race 2 MAJESTIC GA GA (8) has the draw to watch things unfold before using her high speed and looks like she will be able to get over the top. PATCHED (7) has come back well and will benefit from meeting the main dangers off the same mark but the draw is still challenging, won’t be far away. LUVAFLAIR (5) will enjoy the smaller field, and she is like patched in running a decent race on terms with opposition. ULTIMATE TESS (6) rises in grade, this is a good test for her taking on some of the better trotters and THAT’S NOT MY GAIT (4) is a place chance with MRIYA DREAM (2) who was solid on return. Tips: 8 7 5 6 Suggested Bet: PATCHED/MAJESTIC GA GA to quinella. Race 3 BROOME BEACH (1) has the nice draw and looks to have ability, a nice sized type of two-year-old who looks to be benefitted by the bigger track as he went roughly on the final turn at Gloucester Park before surging back through and running a place easily. He has options and expect him to go very close. MY MACHANE (9) trialled up well at Bunbury in good time and looks a strong chance, back row draw makes it a bit more challenging. SOME LINE (6) has had a few opportunities and lacks early tactical speed which makes his job harder, expect him to do work and stick on. STRONG THE STRIKER (2) has shown promise but been disappointing more times in recent efforts so just steering away from him a bit. TORREVEAN ENVY ME (7) has a wide draw to overcome but looks to have ability, one to follow and PRINCE OF PINJARRA (10) could improve. Tips: 1 9 6 2 Suggested Bet: BROOME BEACH (1) to win. Race 4 SPEED FORCE (7) will be heading forward and looks a strong chance to get up outside the speed which will suit him, and he will be hard to beat from there, this horse has won these races sitting 3 wide the trip so think he will go well. DEE JAYS BIG BOY (1) has won a few lightning laps in his time and has the good draw, could run well here. IM DRINKINDOUBLES (5) and STRAYLYA (6) likely to both make plays for the top with the former probably the better of the two chances given the latter probably cannot cross him. KARAOKE STAR (9) is a consistent performer but the back row over the lightning lap isn’t an easy task as STIRUP IRON JACK (10) has found out before and faces again today. HEAVENLY BLISS (8) a place hope from the draw and SUB MARINER (2) mixing his form but his best is capable. Tips: 7 1 9 5 Suggested Bet: SPEED FORCE (7) each way. Race 5 EN PARIANT SUR (3) looks to come out and likely to get to the top here, he is a nice front running type who is third up into the preparation and was unplaced last run when leading but was mentally pressured throughout, doesn’t appear to be a great deal of pressure here and can control and be the one to run down. CLASSICAL ELLIE (6) is racing well but is normally sit/kick therefore it could be a tricky race as she has been good as the hunter and today, she will be the hunted. DREAM CONTROL (10) is also a sit kick type who has tremendous speed and will be running on strongly. BALINGUP BOY (9) is a key chance but is also known more as a sit/kick type. DISPATCHER (1) has the nice draw and can be placed. AMERICAN MONARCH (5) needs the speed on and things to be perfect. Tips: 3 1 6 9 Suggested Bet: EN PARIANT SUR (3) to win. Race 6 LUKES MISTAKE (6) was a nice effort last run and likely heads forward to do the work and appears hard to hold out on recent form. KOLISI (10) is a similar type in terms of racing style, has the benefit of watching things unfold before being put into the event. HOTFOOT IT (4) has the early speed and is a solid chance, especially if he can lead. JILLIBY JAKE (3) is consistent without winning, awkward draw for CALL TO ARMS (5) who’s best is good enough. JAMIE KIM (8) is going well, likely to be powering to the line when the gaps open. BE HOME SOON (1) a place chance. Tips: 6 10 4 8 Suggested Bet: LUKES MISTAKE (6) to win. Race 7 SAMMY SUFFARELL (2) is a nice type and is benefitted by the scratching, showing good depth and toughness and looks a major player here. TRAVELBAN (7) suited by the drop in grade and has strings to his bow, expect him to be in the thick of it. ALWAYSBFRANK (3) is a tricky horse to follow, driven conservatively last week and he really powered to the line. TRIGWELL ROAD (6) has a great overall record and returns first up, keep safe as the stable are going well. PUSHBUTTON ROCK (11) needs the tempo to bring her and HUNT THE MAGIC (10) into it. SPORT SPORT SPORT (8) is capable, keep safe with new stable and soft draw. Tips: 2 7 6 11 Suggested Bet: SAMMY SUFFARELL (2) each way. Race 8 Where to look! This is a very hard race. MISS KNOWALL (1) has the draw and will likely be wanting to head forward at the start and try and lead, has come back well and could give some cheek. THE ULTIMATE BEACH (8) was a good effort after doing the chasing last time out and expect him to be dangerous with even luck. SHES A LUCKY PENNY (10) is a much better horse on speed, so the back row draw is challenging, distance is up her ally though. DECIPHER (12) creates interest and has decent form but barrier 12 over a mile is not an easy assignment. RIPPER VIEW (2) has been consistent and drawn solidly but she is coming in fresh and might need this. PHILTHEJUG (3) is a sound performer and has early speed. YOU FLY WITH ME (4) awkwardly drawn with FUEGO CRUZADO (5). Play wide. Tips: 8 1 10 12 Suggested Bet: THE ULTIMATE BEACH (8) each way. Race 9 OFFICAL ROCK (6) has been fair dinkum flying as of late but at the heart of it she is just a high-speed horse who is hard to get involved with at a shorter quote, that’s my concern for her from the draw is that she might be a touch of unders, on performance she deserves the respect though. MISS VINCENZA (10) won well last time out and is versatile, should get a decent run through and be dangerous. FLOAT MY BOAT (4) is knocking on the door and is doing more right than wrong as of late, respect. BASINGHALL (12) is expected to improve, has a few strings to his bow and is talented, second up. IT IS CRUNCH TIME (7) capable, but the draw is challenging. ELVIRA JANE (3) has been consistent and won’t be too far away. MONTERIO (5) and PRINCE OF TRIBECA (8) novelty hopes. Tips: 10 6 4 12 Suggested Bet: MISS VINCENZA (10) each way. Market Market
