Race 1

ALMIGHTY FEAR (3) trialled up really well recently and this horse has shown good ability before coming across to WA, based on that trial I am happy to be with the troublesome trotter. SUNNYS LITTLE ROSE (1) has the nice draw and normally steps away well, looks to be a major player as she is normally reliable. ELEGANT PEAK (4) is in top form and with a safe getaway will get into a good spot and there could be speed on to suit her here. BEE BEE BEROC (2) will be racing forward with a safe getaway and is a winning chance if he could find the top over the short course stand. Start will tell a tale.

Race 2

MY HAMMER DOWN (7) looks a nice type and did a power of work on WA debut and performed admirably on that occasion, this looks a suitable race and he appears to be quite versatile. CAPTAINS CREEK (5) is first up and has shown good early speed and ability, will be hard to get past. CHARIVARI (8) was very impressive winning in his last run, he will have to go about a different way today by following the speed and is also still learning what it’s all about. DOUGS LEGACY (1) looks a decent novelty chance from the good draw and BASINGHALL (2) looks a novelty player also.

Suggested Bet: MY HAMMER DOWN (7) to win.

Race 3

THELITTLE MASTER (2) has been just okay since returning, he has a good reputation from last preparation and that is probably what is holding him as favourite here, he can definitely win as his best is better than this field but wouldn’t want to be diving in to short. LADY CAMEL (1) has the nice draw and performs well on the rail, looks a strong each way chance. ICY COLD (4) is a winning chance if she could charge across and lead, keep her in your thoughts. JIMMY ROCKS (7) has a tough draw to overcome but has been a big improver this preparation. MAXIMUM ROCK (3) is capable but also has a few tricks.

Suggested Bet: LADY CAMEL (1) each way.

Race 4

SOHO SKYFALL (1) steps back to the middle distance where he is really starting show a real liking to the shorter course racing, he looks the likely leader and will be very hard to beat. SEA FURY (3) has a good draw and is in top form, looks to get a good run and will be right there in the finish. BLAZING REACTOR (6) has a good turn of foot and the smaller field will suit but needs just a touch of tempo on to help him. VANDERBILT (7) was solid in his return run but faces a tough draw to overcome second up. ALTA FREEWAY (5) is capable but prefer more for novelty plays.

Suggested Bet: SOHO SKYFALL (1) to win.

Race 5

ROCKIN LE MONDE (10) is racing well under this concept and has been performing well from the wide draw, he looks hard to beat and Chris Voak has really taken to the concept well and drives well in these events. SPOIL THE PARY (6) looks the main danger, he is still rather inexperienced and looks like top end speed isn’t at the peak of his repertoire. DISPATCHER (5) is racing well and looks suited at this trip, should position up close enough. SWEET DUNCAN (3) a place hope but needs to improve off his last run. SPINNER OF YARNS (7) is a novelty chance, forget he went around last time out.

Suggested Bet: ROCKIN LE MONDE (10) to win.

Race 6

Open race. BONNE AMOUR (2) has some decent speed and will be trying to lead, she should be close enough and be dangerous. ZARA TINDALL (7) has plenty of early speed and is a major improver if she can cross down to the pegs. I can see early speed in the event which will help SWEET IVY (4) who is racing well since going to the new stable, just needs a little bit of tempo but expecting her to go very close. VINITA ROSE (1) looks more a novelty chance from the draw. OUR LILILOU (3) is coming in fresh, looks more a place chance today. RECOVER LOVER (5) racing in top form will also be running home.

Tips: 4 2 7 5

Suggested Bet: SWEET IVY (4) to win.

Race 7 

THE WILDCARD (6) is one of the quicker beginners in the state, he is fresh coming into this race and he is a previous winner at the lightning lap, I think he will lead and win this race. YANKEE LINCOLN (1) was the only concern I had early but his form has been disappointing up until his last run, I expect him to improve from the draw and will get a good run either way. TORPEDO ROCK (4) will be saved up for one run and will be hitting the line powerfully. OUR VINNIE (5) is up and down form wise but capable of a top 4 finish. SPRING LINE (9) and HEAVENLY WAGE (10) are both novelty chances dependent on where they can land.

Suggested Bet: THE WILDCARD (6) to win.

Race 8

Open race, so we go for a rough chance. STARLIGHT SONG (6) has got plenty of early speed, he is second up and looks fitter for the first up run, its not a fast front line and I thought he could ping across and potentially lead, if he leads he can win. ALTACHAERA (5) has been racing well and can mix gate speed, each way chance here. WHEEL FAST (2) has been okay in his few runs for the new stable, he will likely be short enough. INTERNAL AFFAIRS (9) can improve here but has been a touch disappointing as of late. TRUNKEY MON STAR (12) has the ability but you need a decent price to take as he can do things wrong and the draw is awkward.
