Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview

Race 1

CHIEF COPY (5) has plenty of early speed and could charge across and get to the top, his form has been sound and looks a decent chance on an each way chance. BACK ON LINE (8) has plenty of early speed and will no doubt be up on speed, looks ready to run a big race. GOGGINS (9) has a wide draw to overcome but has been racing consistently, needs a few things to go right in this. HEARTOFAHLIA (7) should be fitter for the first up run and can do some work where needed. SNAKEY BAY (2) was better last run but mixes her form.

Tips: 5 8 7 9

Suggested Bet: CHIEF COPY (5) each way.

Race 2

YAWOMA (7) was brilliant in defeat on return, likely must do the work again here but has shown toughness in a lot of his races, go close. FABULOUS DREAM (9) is a nice horse who must overcome a wide draw and is coming in fresh. HUNGER STRIKE (4) has a better draw than her main rivals and can be driven forward, looks a chance to lead and will run a bold race if she does find the top. CIGANDA (2) is a novelty chance from the draw and BEAUDIENE HUNTER (8) was solid in defeat last time out but also must work with a wide gate.

Tips: 7 9 4 8

Suggested Bet: YAWOMA (7) to win.

Race 3

ZLATO (1) has the nice draw and was narrowly beaten last run, looks to be a stronger field here but the quick backup could see this horse run a bold race. SUN PUBLISHER (10) is ideally drawn and will be a solid chance to be dangerous late if the runs come. MAJOR MANHATTAN (6) will be running home well; he has been consistent. TUBBS FARQUHAR (4) has early speed and could be dangerous if he crossed. ROLLINDOWNTHERIVER (9) will be running on, but the draw makes it hard and maps to settled rearward.

Suggested Bet: SUN PUBLISHER (10) each way.

Race 4

WARATAH LOU (9) showed a lot of promise last time in and had a few quirks, but the high speed and toughness were there, expecting a strong showing on return and think this horse will be right in the money. WORLD SECRET (6) is flying, may have to do the work again but on her current form she is hard to knock. NORTHVIEW DANCE (8) has depth and can get into it even from the wide draw. NUTBUSH GIRL (2) rises noticeably in grade but was impressive last time out. MORE SASS (1) a novelty chance from the nice draw with COVERNOTE (3), VELOCIPEDE (4) falls into that category after a recent trial win.

Tips: 9 6 8 2

Suggested Bet: WARATAH LOU (9) each way.

Race 5

GETN WIGGY WITHIT (1) has the nice draw and is screaming out to win a race, good front running type and expecting him to lead and be hard to get over. BEYOND BLING (10) hit the line nicely last time out, major player if he can get into the clear. FRANCO MECCA (11) drops in grade and can do some work where required, should run a bold race. MADDY LOU (4) racing well but the draw could work against her here. SUGAR STREET (9) is a novelty chance, has depth to make the best of the tough draw. THEJEWELINHEREYE (12) could hug the rail, and it could be a pegs affair so put her into the back end of your first 4’s at massive odds.

Suggested Bet: BEYOND BLING (10) each way.

Race 6

SIANGDI (3) has good early speed and knocking on the door, looks the potential leader here and can break through for a well-deserved win, looks hard to beat. EYE BETTER (6) and AMERICAN MONARCH (7) both talented but best form is normally driven for one run, and the tempo may be against them. YANKEE LINCOLN (8) is suited in this grade but just needs some luck. LUKES MISTAKE (9) was a big win last time out but rises in grade and has a tough draw to overcome. CHERRY ON THE CAKE (4) is capable but can mix her form and goes better if she can lead. CRY HAVOC (5) will be running on.

Tips: 3 6 8 7

Suggested Bet: SIANGDI (3) to win.

Race 7 

THE FINAL OFFER (7) has shown good promise and comes into this race with form lines around In Rare Air who looks to be a talent, think this one can break through tonight and looks hard to beat. SOME LINE (6) is coming out of racing in the Golden Slipper and didn’t disgrace himself, has got a few quirks but has ability. LAST KING OF CAPEL (5) has the draw to head forward and is a major player if he could find the top. NOT SO SWEET (3) trialled up well and LUCKY TWISTER (2) has also shown promise in recent trials, could get into the novelties. SWEETER THE BETTOR (9) was solid last time out but the draw hurts here.

Tips: 7 6 5 3

Suggested Bet: THE FINAL OFFER (7) to win.

Race 8 

FOLLOW MY STRIDE (3) hit the line looking for a run last start and has the speed to get to the top here and looks hard to beat if she was able to find the top, this grade suits and expecting her to show her best here. ZUEDE (4) has come back well, been doing work and sticking on but may have to do that again here. TORREVEAN PINKY (5) returns and has some early speed, looks a solid chance but may need the run. SHES A DACTYL (1) was better last run and can be placed in this. BAZZA MAC (6) is fitter and capable of getting into the money. STIRUP IRON JACK (9) has ability, and the horse has been not at his best, this grade suggests he can improve.

Tips: 3 4 5 9

Suggested Bet: FOLLOW MY STRIDE (3) to win.
