Harry Buchanan’s Monday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on September 4, 2023 | Posted by TABtouch NORTHAM Race 2 No. 6 Eternal Fun Bombed the start hopelessly last week. He’s better than that and can do something here with a cleaner step. Doubles figures and shouldn’t be so worth an EW play at the odds alone. Big boy who can muster up hard into this. If he’s close he can win. Race 5 No. 2 Kingsbrae Huxley and No. 6 Piper Spolly The 2 gets a fence draw now and gets one more go with this suitable map. Can muster up quickly and if he’s close turning he will be solid late. The 6 will try and lead here and this is easier than her last few. Box is ok and her best would be winning. Start important for her. Race 6 No. 4 Shoe Shine Jo and No. 1 Dear Demi The 4 the best roughie of the day. He show’s pace and this is not as hard as recent runs. If he was to find the top this time, he will give a huge sight at big quote. Can figure and best bet at the odds. The 1 will try and dart up the fence here and can be hard to catch if she leads. Needs to miss the 2 early but she can and that will be half the battle won. Save on her but backing the 4 EW all day. Race 7 No. 8 Athena Girl and No. 2 Emma Monelli The 8 will accelerate quickly here off a spear start and she can cross these. She’s hard to catch when she gets the arm to herself. The 2 is other one who will want the arm early. Has good box manners and steps well. She will look to hold up first turn and slip away turning. Both dogs can win. Race 8 No. 3 Sassy Blade and No. 2 Something Fun A couple of old favs here. None more so than Sass. Super run last week again making sustained ground from the back. Getting a great EW price here and play place heavy. She will descend hard late. The 2 could hold the front here. Getting stronger and can hold these out if he gets through his flat spot up the back. Race 9 No. 6 Surprised Fun Another who needs to lead to win but she surprised last week when not holding the arm but sticking on well. That’s unusual for her as she doesn’t go when dogs pass her so she is worth a go here as she could find the arm. Lead or bust the most likely scenario. Race 11 No. 6 Lucy’s Villa and No. 3 Fabian’s Gold The 6 now with our lady May Leach and he went super last week. A bit fitter this time and the race is no harder. Has some dash and will give a sight. A small spec on the 3 and it’s his last ever chance here to do something. No excuses to not hit the frame and won’t get us again if he doesn’t. Market Market
