Harry Buchanan’s Daily Greyhound Tips

CANNINGTON

Race 6 No. 8 Bad Boy Jagger and No. 4 Safari Train

This is the first time the 8 has faced a field of just 5 opponents and therefore we will see the best of him with room to operate here off and ideal draw. Reels off strong sections and will be hard to hold out. The 4 all but crossed and led last time. She will be a price and with two vacant boxes outside her, she will again get her chance to show her best at odds.

Race 7 No. 3 Marg’s Dynasty and No. 5 Roll With It

The 3 has talent and this is his chance to lead after not being able to find the top lately. Steps quickly and is far better dog when he gets the arm solo. The 5 was incredibly disappointing last week. Got right where he needed to be and should have sailed away from that field. Giving him one more chance as his best goes close. 6 a huge threat but badly boxed outside the 5.

Race 8 No. 7 Ready For Magic and No. 1 Wise Dohne

The highly enigmatic 7 put in a boomer last week. Should he reproduce that he will give these a stack to think about. He can be frustrating though so take on trust. The 1 might find the arm here and hold. She is hard to catch when she gets the front. This is her chance but it will be her last.

Race 9 No. 1 Elite Machine

Boxed to win. Has a super turn of foot after box rise. No luck early off box 6 last week but still recovered to put in a big effort at his first 500 in 3 months. Only has to muster and hold here to be very hard to stop.

GAWLER

Race 5 No. 7 Elope To Paris and No. 5 Blaze Maker

The 7 gets a grade drop here and down in trip as well a huge positive. Can sweep into this quickly and be a force late. The 5 hasn’t seen her best form for some time but this is masters company and a return to her winning best can happen here. Just need to offset the draw early.

Race 8 No. 10 Bold Onyx and No. 8 Barely’s Era

The 10 gets the start from Box 2 and that puts him right in this. Was good in his heat and drawn to get the gun map here and he hits the line well. Great EW play. The 8 has found a leg here at Gawler and is standing up to constant racing well. She can sweep around and be hard to stop with a clear passage. Save there.

THE MEADOWS

Race 6 No. 4 Francis Benali

Big middle section and this trip is ideal as he doesn’t quite see the 600 out strongly. Small field perfect and will take a mountain of stopping here against this field. Only has to land close up the back and will be winning.

Race 8 No. 6 El Cazador and No. 8 Showtime Boomer

The 6 is a grand campaigner who is consistent at all tracks and trips. Puts in every time and if he gets clear running at any stage he will charge home here at a price. The 8 is well boxed and a smokie’s play. Has a good record here and can run into this with a good first turn. Will be strong late.
