Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on September 22, 2022September 22, 2022 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 TENZING BROMAC (4) won eight on end before losing no admirers here last week after overcoming a wide draw to be narrowly beaten. He should take up the breeze position easily and looks the one to beat. AUSSIE SCOOTER (1) has won his last two and will lead here and give a great sight. JETT STAR (10) is drawn to get a lovely run behind the favoured pair and should be right in the finish if he sees daylight at the right time. STRAUNY (11) led throughout to defeat TENZING BROMAC (4) here last week but will find it harder from the backline tonight. Tips: 4 1 10 11 Suggested Bet: JETT STAR (10) each way. Race 2 ALCIPPES DELIGHT (4) has improved this time in and impressed when she led and dashed home in 26.5 two starts back. She is drawn inside her main rivals here and will give a great sight if she can find the front. BOORAA (7) has won two of her last three starts and has the strength to overcome her awkward draw. MISS LIMELIGHT (8) led throughout in 1.55.3 here last week but isn’t as well drawn tonight. AMERICAN ARMA (5) is racing consistently and is always a chance in this company with the right run in transit. Tips: 4 7 8 5 Suggested Bet: ALCIPPES DELIGHT (4) to win. Race 3 DOC HOLLIDAY (5) has been placed at his last four starts including a solid 2nd here in 1.56.1 last week. He will be suited by the expected early speed and should give a great sight. STAMFORD (8) looked a touch underdone when a promising first-up 3rd here last week and will strip fitter for that effort. MACARDLES GEM (1) is racing consistently and should be thereabouts from the pole draw. ARMA EINSTEIN (9) is likely to settle at the rear but will be charging home if there is a solid tempo. Tips: 5 8 1 9 Suggested Bet: DOC HOLLIDAY (5) to win. Race 4 LAVRA JOE (2) faced the breeze when a narrow 2nd here in 1.54.4 last week and should find the front and account for this field tonight. PLUTONIUM (6) goes up in class but is absolutely flying and looks the only danger. WITHOUTTHETUH (1) is another who rises in class but will enjoy a lovely run on the back of the favourite and looks a good place chance. MIRACLE MOOSE (3) is the other class runner who will settle on the pegs and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 2 6 1 3 Suggested Bet: LAVRA JOE (2) to win. Race 5 WONDERFUL TO FLY (1) brought up her tenth win on the trot when she overcame a back line draw to defeat a similar field at her last start and will start at prohibitive odds from the pole tonight. LITTLE DARLING (10) faced the breeze when a gallant 10m 2nd in that event and looks a great chance to fill the quinella position again. DONTBESILLYCHILLI (2) ran on to finish 3rd in that race and shouldn’t be far away from her nice draw. IN THE SPOTLIGHT (3) should settle handy from here and can figure in the placings. Tips: 1 10 2 3 Suggested Bet: WONDERFUL TO FLY (1) to win. Race 6 IDEAL AGENT (1) impressed in winning four of his seven starts last time in and is clearly the one to beat first-up after coming up with the pole draw. TALKS UP A STORM (2) is racing well and is likely to trail the favourite here and he should be right in the finish. MACHNIFICENT (3) won’t be suited by the likely moderate tempo but has a good turn of foot and won’t be far away. EZANA (4) is a classy type resuming but he has drawn outside of his main rivals. Tips: 1 2 3 4 Suggested Bet: IDEAL AGENT (1) to win. Race 7 ADVANTAGE (1) was an impressive winner at his only start and looks the one to beat if he can muster enough speed to hold up from the pole draw. VELOCIPEDE (2) has plenty of ability but not the best manners at the moment and looks the obvious danger if he does everything right. ROLLING FIRE (4) has a nice turn of foot and will be suited if there is a solid tempo. HES NEVER BEEN BETA (5) was held up at his second race start following a win on debut and must be considered. Tips: 1 2 4 5 Suggested Bet: ADVANTAGE (1) to win. Race 8 SUING YOU (1) has battled bad draws or stronger company in her four unplaced runs this time in but gets her chance to shoot for an all-the-way victory from the pole here. CARRERA MACH (6) couldn’t make up ground in a sprint home at her last start but is dangerous in this company if the race is run to suit. BETTOR COPAGOODONE (5) wasn’t far away in a stronger field at her last start and can play a part. THE KRAKEN (10) is drawn to trail the polemarker throughout and grows a leg on the pegs. Tips: 1 6 5 10 Suggested Bet: CARRERA MACH (6) each way. Race 9 JOEY JAMES (3) has been placed in three of his past four starts and can break back into the winners’ circle here with normal racing luck. GLENLEDI CHIEF (7) is first-up here and has a 40m handicap to overcome but that is offset to some extent by the small field. REGAL SCRIBE (4) has trialled nicely for his return and wouldn’t surprise first-up. DEEORSE (1) led when a narrow 3rd here at his last start and shouldn’t be far away again. Tips: 3 7 4 1 Suggested Bet: JOEY JAMES (3) to win. Race 10 MASTER PUBLISHER (7) hasn’t lived up to his early promise but drops in class here and looks the one to beat. CHEER THE MAJOR (9) is drawn poorly but is racing well and should make his presence felt. MACHLANI (2) has been very disappointing but did lead throughout here six starts back and will give a sight if he finds the top. GOOD TIMES AHEAD (1) has been unplaced in his last 15 starts but can improve from the pole here. Tips: 7 9 2 1 Suggested Bet: MASTER PUBLISHER (7) to win. Market Market
