Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 30, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: FOLLOW GLOUCESTER PARK ON FACEBOOK MS PACE RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (11) raced in top 3YO company in NZ and warmed up for this with a dominant 51 metre Byford trial win. He will be set for much bigger assignments and is clearly the one to beat at his Australian debut. WIMBALIRI (9) was rewarded for his consistency last week when he faced the breeze and was a strong winner and can overcome his wide draw. HOIHO (6) has won five of his past nine in easier company and should be thereabouts. IN NYROBI (2) would be a chance if he reproduced his recent all the way win. Tips: 11 9 6 2 Suggested Bet: RUNRUNJIMMYDUNN (11) to win. Race 2: STEELO`S BISTRO AT GLOUCESTER PARK WESTBRED MS PACE BETTOR REWARD (8) was a brilliant winner of the 4&5YO Championship at Bunbury before being well fancied but breaking in a strong Pinjarra Cup. This is a massive drop in class and he is clearly the one to beat. ALLTHEWAYTOTHEBANK (4) has won three of his last four and is the likely leader here and will give them something to catch. MON LAMOUR (1) was a certainty beaten last start and can be in the money from the pole. TARSAO (5) has come back from a break in good order and shouldn’t be far away. Tips: 8 4 1 5 Suggested Bet: BETTOR REWARD (8) to win. Race 3: BOOK INTO THE BEAU RIVAGE RESTAURANT MS PACE EYRE CRUSHER (2) ran 2nd in the WA Derby before resuming from a year long spell and recording three wins on the trot. He has been off the scene for almost two years and resumes without a trial but he will be extremely hard to beat if anywhere near his top. WEBB ELLIS (1) comes to WA with good NSW form and will be hard to beat from the pole, particularly if there is money for him. NEW WORLD ORDER (10) will need luck from the draw to beat the Hall pair but is up to them on ability. STRAIGHT THRU BLUE (12) is the best of the rest. Tips: 2 1 10 12 Suggested Bet: EYRE CRUSHER (2) to win. Race 4: BOOK YOUR NEXT CONFERENCE OR EVENT AT GLOUCESTER PARK WA DERBY PRELUDE MS PACE EL BARCELONA (1) has been consistent without being brilliant this season but gets his chance here. He should hold up at the start and prove too classy for his opposition. MUSTANG BART (4) was held up at his first WA run and beat home EL BARCELONA (1) when only 7.6m behind Mitch Maguire last week and looks the main danger. HANDSANDWHEELS (10), and HEZA HEAD HONCHO (11) are both drawn to get soft runs in transit and can be in the placings. Tips: 1 4 10 11 Suggested Bet: EL BARCELONA (1) to win. Race 5: ACO POLYCRETE MS PACE FRANCO RAYNER (1) has won three of his last five starts, leading throughout on each occasion. He isn’t as effective when coming from behind but that won’t be a problem from the pole and he will be very short. VANQUISHED (4) ran a 4m 2nd to Chicago Bull in the McInerney Classic before two unplaced runs in the other 4YO Classics and is the main danger at his resumption. LISHARRY (10) draws to be a good place chance, while OHOKA KENTUCKY (5) is back to his best and can be in the money. Tips: 1 4 10 5 Suggested Bet: FRANCO RAYNER (1) to win. Race 6: CELEBRATING MELISSA RENOUF MS PACE BETTORS FIRE (9) is the best horse in the field and resumed from a spell with an easy victory from this draw. It is never easy winning from barrier nine over the sprint trip but he is clearly the one to beat. AMERICAN BOY (3) did all of the work in the last lap when a gallant 2nd last start and would be hard to beat if he could find the top. BRONZE SEEKER (2) ran on strongly to finish 2nd to Bettors Fire last start and shouldn’t be far away again. RISK (6) is yet to miss a place in 11 WA runs and should be thereabouts again but has an awkward draw. Tips: 9 3 2 6 Suggested Bet: BETTORS FIRE (9) to win. Race 7: THE CLARKE FINAL GALACTIC STAR (10) was an impressive winner first up before finishing a game 2nd to TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (7). He is awkwardly drawn but should still represent each way value in an even field. LIVURA (6) needed the run and wasn’t fancied first up but did well to finish 2nd and will strip fitter for this. VULTAN TIN (12) won two on end before producing a career best run when 2nd to Im Full Of Excuses in the Harvey Cup and can play a part. TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (7) has been impressive in leading throughout at his last but is drawn wide here. Tips: 10 6 12 7 Suggested Bet: GALACTIC STAR (10) each way. Race 8: WWW.GLOUCESTERPARK.COM.AU MS PACE BLINDING LIGHT (4) has resumed from a long break with two good placings from bad barriers. He should be fitter and is nicely drawn and looks ready to produce his best. MISTER VERSACE (10) is the class runner of the field and only needs luck from an awkward draw to be right in the finish. HOT FRATERNITY (12) started at cricket score odds but was impressive in winning here last start and must be considered. CHALLENGING (8) is racing extremely consistently and will be running on again. Tips: 4 10 12 8 Suggested Bet: BLINDING LIGHT (4) to win. Race 9: $7 PINTS DURING THE FOOTY AT JP`S TROTTERS DISCRETIONARY HANDICAP SS TROT HUDSON BAY (2) had a good record in Victoria and impressed at his first WA run when he led throughout to beat Sammy Charles. He switches to the stand here and will be very hard to beat if he steps cleanly. ITS OSCAR (5) resumed from a 10 month break with an all the way win and should be fitter for that run. MISTER FLAIR (4) ran 6th behind HUDSON BAY (2) last start but may be able to utilise his good manners to turn the tables. IDLE MAPLE (3) defied her age with a last start win and can repeat the dose with the right run in transit. Tips: 10 1 2 5 Suggested Bet: HUDSON BAY (2) to win. Race 10: JP`S SPORTSBAR AT GLOUCESTER PARK MS PACE REAL ZEAL (3) has been placed at two of his last three including a solid 2nd at Pinjarra on Monday. He always needs luck in his races but can finish over the top of his rivals if he gets the right run. TAJIE BABY (1) led throughout to cause a boilover three starts back and must be considered from the pole. SIGHTSEEING ANVIL (6) started favourite in a similar filed last week when a close up 5th and shouldn’t be far away again. THREE KINGS (10) is drawn to get a soft run and can be in the money. Tips: 3 1 6 10 Suggested Bet: REAL ZEAL (3) each way. Bet Now
