EURO 2016 – Belgium vs Italy Posted on June 9, 2016June 14, 2016 | Posted by Sportsbettingmax.com Stade de Lyon – 14th Jun 3am AWST Match Overview This is one of the most open Groups with Belgium favourites over Italy from Sweden and Ireland. Belgium have been in very good form leading into Euro 2016 with the form of the Italians lackluster at best. These two teams last met in 2015 with Belgium winning 3-1 but as expected Italy hold a commanding head to head record of 13 wins four losses and four draws. Belgium are more than a quiet tip for this tournament. They have been ranked the Number 2 team by FIFA for the past 12 months and Manager Marc Wilmots has claims to having one of the most talented squads at Euro 2016. De Bruyne, Hazard, Origi, Lukaku and Carrasco head up a young front line bursting with energy and class. Their weakness could be central defence now with the loss of Vincent Kompany meaning extra pressure will be thrust upon the inexperienced Jason Denayer who will accompany Toby Aldweireld. For Antonio Conte it appears more of the same as he tinkers with his formations in an attempt to produce more goals on the board for the Azzurri. No doubt they have a settled defence with Juventus backs Buffon, Berzagli, Bonucci and Cheiellini but the front half is the worry. His Number 1 Striker Graziano Pelle has struggled to stay in the Southampton side this year so expect low scores from the boys in blue. Player to watch Yannick Ferreira Carrasco is a star on the rise. He is considered one of the brightest talents in the side and this young Atletico midfielder will be working in tandem with de Bruyne and causing opposition sides plenty of headaches.
