RACE 1

DEUS EX (3) is 2 from 2 since landing in Queensland, the latest win here 2 weeks back when fresh was the win of a nice horse. Dictating that in front and claiming a winning margin of 8m, this looks his hat-trick to claim. BELLA BALL TERROR (1) was making late ground where no other runners really were last start when 2nd. This gate gives him the options. ROCK FISHERMAN (9) completed a threepeat of victories last time and is in super form. MAJOR FERNCO (10) was too tough last start in a gritty win recorded in smart time. This is a cracking contest packed with in form runners.

SELECTIONS:  3-1-9-10

RACE 2

UNDER WORKED (10) ran the hands off the clock last week in what could possibly be the fastest closing 8/400 splits in over two years. 2 from 2 since joining the Ron Sallis barn, he meets many of the same horses again. JONAH JONES (8) will be hopeful of landing leaders back and if he can hit the passing lane with momentum, he looms large. WATCH PULP FICTION (7) has somehow found a way to be beaten his past 2 when looking to have the race shot to bits, Under Worked getting him in both of those and gate 7 is a real stinger here. TWENTYEIGHTBLACK (1) comes up with the gate to be in the money again, a position he has hit the past 4 in succession.

RACE 3

COMMODORE JUJON (1) was beaten by the wide gate last start when retreating off the arm and was then giving up too much deficit. Mapping to get a soft trip in the trail can see him ready to take the closing shot. KEY LARGO (3) was setting the tempo in front last start and was in front deep into the stretch when just a head away. The gate gives him every chance to look for an all the way win.
THE DEMOCRAT (8) held on for 2nd here on Tuesday behind the dictating Street Appeal and lands the gate for the cosy trip behind the speed.  BLISSFULL LILLY (6) chased home for 3rd behind the flying WAHS FIRE BUG 2 starts back. Given no favours from this gate, place claims look her go.

SUGGESTED BET: Flexi Trifecta 1-3 / 1-3-6-8-9

RACE 4

NOTORIOUS (1) snagged back from outside the front-line last week before charging home over the concluding stages to be just a neck from the winner Slick Blaster. After some tough gates, the ace is a welcome reprieve. GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (10) was setting the tempo last start but could not see it out. Cashing in here 2 starts back when leading throughout in claiming a 4m victory, the gate makes it tricky. KING TRITON (6) also comes up with the tricky gate following his 2m margin behind Slick Blaster when looking to lead throughout. FLO RYDA (8) was making some closing ground last time behind a smart one in Captain Nemo. A cosy trip beind the speed should provide the opportunities.

RACE 5

SPEECH IS SILVER (8) had to face FFA company last week when resuming from a spell when retreating to watch it unfold. Unfurling the spinnaker in the stretch, he sizzled home and drops in grade for this battle. KASH US BACK (6) was just 1.5m in arrears of the winner last start following inside runs after tackling FFA grade 2 starts back. The gate makes it tough. KANENA PROVLIMA (3) arrives in Queensland at the stables of Shawn Grimsey after 2 runs back from a spell and must be taken in trust. IDEAL WORLD (4) is a gazelle out of the gates when allowed and this might be the right conditions to light the fuse early now that he is fitter following 2 runs back from a spell.
 
SELECTIONS: 8-6-3-4

SUGGESTED BET: SPEECH IS SILVER (8) to win

RACE 6

TURN IT UP (3) only had to sprint the last 150m to repel the challengers and claim an easy victory here last time over the 2138m. Back to the mile for this battle, he should have little trouble in taking control and dictating. MAKE MINE MEMPHIS (2) was taking is first shot at FFA grade last week and from the front was nearly able to last with the only Jeradas Delight via the passing lane getting past. NORTHVIEW HUSTLER (6) is getting closer to a win since resuming and his sectionals in recent weeks have been superb. The gate stings but that is offset by the small field. FAME ASSURED (1) will enjoy the easy trip in behind the speed here as she tackles this second up.

SUGGESTED BET: TURN IT UP (3) to win

RACE 7

HERBS HERO (2) should strip fitter following his latest outing where he was first up in a year. Making a closing play when 3m from the winner. A talented but lightly raced 6YO, he has 8 wins in 16 starts and finds the gate in a suitable contest. HENRY HU (6) does not receive any favours wide out on the front line here but his recent runs in tougher company have had merit. That is highlighted by his 7m margin behind Jeradas Delight two starts back. LITTLE CHANGE (1) has the benefit of the good alley here, after being wide off the track at Redcliffe his past 2 starts. JUMPING JOLT (7) faces the outside front line alley but has that offset by the small field size and can be charging home.
 
SELECTIONS: 2-6-1-7

SUGGESTED BET: HERBS HERO (2) to win

RACE 8

COBBITY CASTLE (9) will need to overcome the 2nd line in a race where her main dangers look more favourably drawn. That is a task that looks within reach as she continued a super streak last week when 4m from Peppa Bliss on Saturday and then 3m from Going For Gold on Tuesday. WHICH HUNT (5) went back early from this same gate last week before launching a closing raid to grab 3rd behind Peppa Bliss. The map looks hard to read for her. MOLLIESMARYELLE (2) chimed in for a 3rd here on Tuesday and was a smart winner 4 starts back after securing an easy trip to make the closing shot a winning one. JEWEL OF PEAK (4) will likely have her fate known soon after the start as she is a mare that likes to roll in front. A winner here on Tuesday when left alone.

SUGGESTED BET: COBBITY CASTLE (9) to win

RACE 9

ONE NIGHT OUT (2) started from a 10m impost last start in a weaker race and was able to capitalise by landing the money. With good manners, he can step cleanly to settle on the pace and strike in what looks a wide-open contest. MORE SHADES OF GOLD (8) threw his chances away at the start here last week when not keen to move off when the tapes flew. The start will be key from the 20m tape. NORTHERN MUSCLE (11) picked off a few in the closing stages last start when chasing. Only 1m from the winner Red Castleton here 3 starts back. The 30m over the 2138m looks tough. DOUG (6) was just doing Doug things last start by again throwing his chances in the bin. A money muncher of late, will he be able to turn it around?
