Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on October 1, 2021October 1, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 1st October 2021 Race 4 – No. 6 Tiger Town Highly impressive in just two starts over the trip, leading all the way in each and both in BON times. One of his toughest tests to date but if he has improved further, he should prove too slick for these. Race 8 – No. 4 Steampunk Wolf Has handled this company well recently with placings in 3 of his 4 attempts. Not as tough this time around and can be rewarded for his consistency. Race 12 – No. 3 Energetic Warmed up for this with a luckless 4th over the 380m at Cannington on Sunday. Fitter for the run and has raced well over this trip in the past. Can make his return to the 405m a winning one. Each Way: Race 3 – No. 2 Wise Thunder Placed in his only run over the trip when runner up to QUARTARARO (8) from an awkward draw. Hasn’t won for a while but should be fitter second up tonight and can give plenty of cheek in stripes. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 4.5.6.7.8 / 3.4.8 / 1.3.4.7 / 2.4.6.8 $50 for 20.83% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 2nd October 2021 Race 3 – No. 2 Like You She has run some strong times over the longer 520m in the past. Improving with each run over this journey and if she finds the fence early then she should be fighting out the finish. Race 4 – No. 8 Historic Time Solidly-built chaser with a powerful finish. Will be suited by the small field and has been racing well without winning, placing in a Heat and Final of the W.A Bred Championship. Hard to hold out at the business end. Race 11 – No. 2 Brazil Monelli Racing in fine form, having yet to miss the podium in any of his 13 starts to date. Times have been strong and has the draw to lead them all the way. Each Way: Race 7 – No. 8 Stone Cold Olly Too good for his rivals in his only run over the trip when leading all the way from this very draw, albeit when tiring late in modest time. A winner in two of three since and has been freshened up for this. Can surprise this lot. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.3.6 / 2.5.8 / 2.4.8 / 1.3.5 $50 for 61.72% Trifecta – Race 4 4.5.8 / 4.5.8 / 4.5.8 $30 for 500% First Four – Race 11 2 / 4.7 / 4.5.7.8 / 1.4.5.7.8 $50 for 277.77% Bet Now! Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday, 3rd October 2021 Race 2 – No. 3 Zipper Zip Zip Drops in grade and is an all the way winner in two of three over this trip. While she does prefer it a bit wider, she has the early pace to find the front and will take plenty of running down. Race 5 – No. 8 Moruga Scorpion Not disgraced in her only run so far at the distance, finishing midfield in a strong line up after not having the best of early luck. Can handle a wide draw and will find this more to her liking. Can bounce back. Race 9 – No. 2 Broome Time Back to back Novice winner in good time over the trip in July. Drawn well on debut for his new trainer and looks set to play a major part in the finish. Bet Now! Bet Now!
