RACE 6 No.12 Freddie Fox Trot

Locally trained galloper from the Les Kelly stable on a 7 day back up from Eagle Farm last Saturday. Thought his effort there was good running on into second spot late behind the smart Chapter And Verse after racing wide with the 59kg. Drops down to 54kg and although facing open grade he’ll have no problems measuring up and will lap up the additional 200m.

RACE 8 No.9 Kenedna

Mares have had a good record in this race over the last few years and I’m suggesting that’s going to carry on with the females holding some strong winning chances. Settled on this one from the Maher/Eustace stable who burst through late to win at Group 1 level last start at Randwick. Fourth up here, there’s good improvement to come and she’ll appreciate the additional 200m.

RACE 9 No.7 Outback Barbie

Locally trained filly from the Gollan yard who can give the older mares plenty to think about having come up with a likely perfect gate (with a touch of luck). She flies fresh having not missed a place at three attempts to date (which includes a win) and she closed off nicely in a jump out held last Friday. With the right gaps in the straight lookout!
